1989 Dodge Dakota Sport Convertible. I am the 2nd owner of this collectors truck. I bought it in 1991 in Ohio. It was my daily driver for many years and has run perfectly. It is rust free. It has been garaged it's entire life. It has been driven very little over the last 12 years. I keep it stored and clean in my garage. I drive it twice a year and have considered selling locally at various car shows. I want to keep it original so I have not touched up some of the outside wear. In 1995 I put in a brand new transmission which has worked perfectly. Somewhere about '99 or 2000 it suffered some hail damage on the body and the convertible top. The body was repaired and the top was replaced. The bumpers and tail gate have some scuff marks that you may not be able to see in the pictures. But the vehicle runs perfectly and has no leaks. It is fully drive-able and ready for a road trip. 169,000 well maintained miles.

Fewer that 1800 Dodge Dakota Convertibles were made and far fewer are on the road today. I set my asking price by what the truck is worth as a vehicle, what it is worth to me and what the market seems to suggest the truck is worth as a collectible. Some predict the value will continue to rise as long as it stays in this condition.

eGarage interviews a couple with 65 Vipers

Owning multiple vehicles can be a hassle worth enjoying if you're willing to spend the time and the money required to acquire and maintain them. But when it's hard to make ends meet while underused valuable hunks of metal, plastic and rubber sit happily taking up garage space, journeys into the depths of other people's well-developed automotive obsessions will either bring you and your cars closer together, or compel you to sell them off before you become one of those fanatics. A recent video by eGarage is one of those journeys, and it's not for the faint of heart: D'Ann and Wayne Rauh own 65 Dodge and SRT Vipers in a collection of automobiles that exceeds 100.
We're not sure if the couple has developed heat-resistant calves from stepping over Viper door sills made burning-hot by side-exhaust pipes, but we wouldn't be surprised if they did. We did learn that their obsession with the no-holds-barred sports car started in 2006 with a trip to a dealership to buy just one Viper, which goes to show how innocently car obsessions can start. But the Rauhs seem to be doing just fine - perhaps better - 64 more Vipers later.

Thieves relieve Detroit-area Dodge dealer of $70,000 in SRT wheels

Okay Mopar fans, this won't be easy to read. A video, which has since been made private, popped up over on Reddit's Cars subreddit over the weekend and detailed the aftermath of a massive wheel heist at a metro Detroit dealership. Thieves broke into Sterling Heights Dodge and made off with at least $70,000 worth of wheels and tires. The thieves ignored the V6 models and instead targeted Hellcat, SRT392, Scat Pack, and R/T versions of the Charger and Challenger. The poor muscle cars were left sitting on blocks, with the voice behind the video saying the treatment led to underbody damage. We only counted 12 cars, but the person shooting the video said thieves targeted 14 vehicles. That works out to about $5,000 in wheels per vehicle. We've reached out to Sterling Heights Dodge general manager and the Sterling Heights Police Department for comments. We haven't heard back yet, but we'll be sure to update this post with any additional information. Oh, and if you're in metro Detroit and perusing Craigslist for a new set of alloys, we'd advise against buying Dodge wheels for the next few weeks. They might be hot. Related Video:
