Up for bids is my 1969 Dodge Superbee hardtop with matching numbers 383. It is a rust free real deal bee with the rare N96 fresh air(airgrabber) option. The 383 runs great and i have put about 100 miles on it since buying it. Trans shifts good and is reverse manual(on the column I know!!). The motor is original to the car, trans does not appear to be, but i could not find the VIN. I have tons of receipts for this car dating back to 1991. The transmission was just recently rebuilt. The paint job is about 3 years old and has a nice shine, but there are a few flaws under the paint from not prepping correctly before painting. I could have had the car completely resprayed for $2500, but for a good daily driver, it's not necessary. The trunk is beautiful with no holes. Quarters, back window area, etc all look nice. Always been a solid 69 bee, not full of bondo. The fender tag is included as well as a mint build sheet. From the factory it was B5 blue with a white vinyl top/white bumblebee stripe and white interior. The white top is obviously not on it anymore, due to previous owner's personal preference about moisture holding under vinyl tops. This car was awesome looking from the factory. It runs drives and stops good. Recent additions were white face gauges, new carpet, etc. There is a new headiner in the wrapper not instaled yet. One in car is ok, but could stand to be replaced. The rest of the interior is much above average. Seats still look nice, door panels are in good shape, etc. Front grill, ramcharger ducting with dual hood scoops, etc are all in excellent shape. All lights and blinkers work. Tires and wheels are in excellent shape. You will not find a better more solid car for the money. I am listing it with NO RESERVE. That being said, I reserve the right to end this auction early at any time for any reason, as car is for sale locally. Please ask with any questions. Serious bidders only please. $500 deposit due within 48 hours, rest due in 7 days. I will hold the car for a reasonable amount of time and help with loading the car on your trailer in person, or with getting on a transport truck to anywhere in the worls(at buyer's expense of course). Thanks for looking and good luck!

Dodge Viper to out-Hell the Hellcat with supercharged V10?
Wed, 20 Aug 2014The Viper wouldn't be the Viper if it wasn't the most powerful model under the Chrysler umbrella. But with the arrival of the Hellcat engine in the Dodge Charger and Challenger, the Viper has fallen behind in the bragging rights department: where the new supercharged V8 produces 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated V10 offers "only" 640 hp and 600 lb-ft - gargantuan output figures by almost any other standard, but crucially behind on the SRT power scale. Conner Avenue is going to have to do something about that.
Although the Hellcat's engine reportedly won't fit under the Viper's hood, SRT is now rumored to have another trick up its sleeve: supercharge the existing V10. According to the Pentastar performance enthusiasts at allpar.com, Chrysler has already taken delivery of the first such prototype engines so that it can begin the process of fitting it into an upgraded Viper.
The spooled ten-pot is tipped to produce around 800 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. More than that and the Viper's drivetrain, chassis and bodywork would have to be substantially reworked. Though beefier transmissions are available, fitting them would reportedly set off a domino-game of changes required to handle the added torque. Which may be something Chrysler would be prepared to do for the next-generation model, but in the meantime, 800 hp could prove enough to put the Viper back atop the Mopar performance ladder where it belongs, and give it an edge against the new Corvette Z06 to rekindle sales.
Special Dodge Challengers get Hellcat bits to celebrate Mopar's 80th birthday
Fri, Feb 10 2017This year, Mopar is celebrating its 80th anniversary, and it's doing so in two-tone style with this very limited edition Dodge Challenger. Only 160 of these Challengers will be built, with 80 in each paint scheme. Buyers can choose between either Billet Silver or the slightly painful sounding Contusion Blue, each of which gets a hand-painted Pitch Black top half. These Challengers are based on the existing 392 Shaker package, but come with an array of upgrades and tweaks. In addition to the custom two-tone paint, the shaker scoop and rear spoiler are painted in the same color, rather than the usual matte black. The cars come with 20-inch wheels and hand-painted 392 logos on the fenders. The 392 cu. in., or 6.4-liter if you prefer, engine produces the same 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque as its normal counterpart. This Mopar Challenger will have more access to cold air, though, since it has both the shaker scoop and the headlamp intake from the Challenger Hellcat. At the back, there's also exhaust tips borrowed from the most hellish of Challengers. Or at least the most hellish, so far. View 14 Photos Inside, the changes are more minor. Performance seats are added with embroidered Mopar logos in the backrests. The seats and other trim also feature a silver-colored Tungsten stitching. Naturally, a serial number badge makes an appearance inside, too. Owners will also receive a little box of goodies including a booklet, signed rendering, keychain, additional badge, and a certificate showing the date of manufacture. The overall package is rather attractive, but it isn't cheap. To own one of the few Mopar Challengers, you'll have to fork over $56,885. That's a significant premium over the 392 Scat Pack Shaker, which starts at just $44,890 and makes just as much power. You'll also be able to get a 392 Scat Pack Shaker right away, while the Mopar special edition won't be out until spring. Plus, you may not get it until summer because the hand-painting process takes some time. Of course, for some people, the cost and the wait are worth the exclusivity. Dodge Dart getting hatchback variant... sort of
Thu, 25 Apr 2013In other parts of the world, Fiat builds and sells a version of the Dodge Dart called the Viaggio, and it appears that in addition to the current sedan bodystyle, a new hatchback version of the car is also in the works. Autocar says that the general manager for China's Guangzhou-Fiat joint venture, John Burton, has confirmed that a new Viaggio hatchback will be revealed by the end of this year before it goes on sale in early 2014.
The Viaggio will soon be joined by the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, which in China will be called the Liberty Light, at the Guangzhou-Fiat plant. While the idea of a Dodge Dart hatchback might be enough to enable most of us to forget about the Dodge Caliber, a North American variant doesn't appear to be in the cards. We reached out to Chrysler PR boss Rick Deneau, and he offered a succinct: "No plans at this time."
