1967 Dodge Coronet R/T, 2 door hardtop, 440, 4-speed, Dana 60, project car.

Factory PP1 red with black buckets and black vinyl top. Bucket seats with dual headrests, no console, manual brakes, manual steering, front and rear bumper guards, and dual rearview mirrors.

I have the fender tag, certicard and the title in my name. Missing the original engine and transmission, but the Dana 60 is still there. I have a bare 440 block and a 23-spline transmission that come with the car. This is a pretty solid car, but it needs the floor pans replaced. Of course the quarters need some work and some patching in the trunk too. There are a few spots around the front window that need attention too.

This car comes with a bunch of parts: new, used and NOS.
New seat covers, headliner, door panels, armrests/bases, exterior R/T badges, fuel tank & sending unit, wiring harnesses, lock kit, door/window rubber, gaskets, patch panels and many more. I also have an air cleaner, original chrome valve covers, 2 sets of wheel lip moldings, Hurst shifter, Inland shifter, extra grills, etc. Perfect set of J-trim pieces that surround the front grill.  The original hood with R/T scoop is included plus 2 extra hoods.  An extra trunk lid and driver's side door are also included.

If you can do the body and mechanical work, then you wouldn't need a whole lot more to buy to complete this car. This car has all of the hard to find R/T parts like the front grill piece, inside door emblems, wheel moldings, upholstery emblems plus some spares too.

I sold my Viper, but the memories I'll keep

Thu, 30 May 2013

The following is written by auto industry veteran Tow Kowaleski. The words are his own, but the memories now belong to everyone thanks to his willingness to share. If you're an industry veteran with a story to share, contact us at tipsATautoblogDOTcom.
It became the flame that started the fire of belief in the next life of Chrysler.
I just sold a car. Nothing new. Millions do it every day. But my car was a 1995 Dodge Viper, so maybe it was a bit more unique since just 12,000 were built. And like others selling a car that's been a part of the family for close to 20 years, this was a confluence of emotions for me. I was sad to see it go, but happy to have the cash and one less big, shiny, under-utilized object in my life.

eGarage interviews a couple with 65 Vipers

Thu, 12 Sep 2013

Owning multiple vehicles can be a hassle worth enjoying if you're willing to spend the time and the money required to acquire and maintain them. But when it's hard to make ends meet while underused valuable hunks of metal, plastic and rubber sit happily taking up garage space, journeys into the depths of other people's well-developed automotive obsessions will either bring you and your cars closer together, or compel you to sell them off before you become one of those fanatics. A recent video by eGarage is one of those journeys, and it's not for the faint of heart: D'Ann and Wayne Rauh own 65 Dodge and SRT Vipers in a collection of automobiles that exceeds 100.
We're not sure if the couple has developed heat-resistant calves from stepping over Viper door sills made burning-hot by side-exhaust pipes, but we wouldn't be surprised if they did. We did learn that their obsession with the no-holds-barred sports car started in 2006 with a trip to a dealership to buy just one Viper, which goes to show how innocently car obsessions can start. But the Rauhs seem to be doing just fine - perhaps better - 64 more Vipers later.
Watch the video below for the full story and to see what eGarage claims is the world's largest Viper collection.

2015 Ford Mustang vs. Camaro and Challenger [w/poll]

Thu, 17 Jul 2014

The horsepower wars are tightening among the Detroit Three, as the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger are getting bigger, more powerful, and yes, more fuel efficient.
That came into sharper focus this week as more information was revealed about the most insane Challenger ever - the 707-horsepower Hellcat - followed quickly by Ford's in-depth showcase of the 2015 Mustang in Dearborn.
It's shaping up to be a golden age for enthusiasts, and what's under the hood is becoming more important than ever.
