1967 Dodge Chrysler Plymouth Coronet R/t Hemi on 2040-cars
Omaha, Nebraska, United States
|
This is a 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T Hemi with an interesting history. It is powered by its original 426 Hemi Engine and Automatic Transmission. This is an original sheet metal car with one repaint in its original dark green metallic. The interior looks to be original with a newer headliner all in nice shape. There were 162 Automatic and 121 4 Speed 1967 Hemi Coronet Coupe R/T's made in 1967. The '67 Coronet was Dodge's FIRST R/T! If you are looking to invest in a real honest Hemi car this is for you. Originally ordered by a Dodge Executive, this car has all options except for head rests and bumper guards. I believe this car to be one of only 66 built. This 1967 HEMI car has power windows! Radio works fine, 150 MPH Speedometer. This is a real R/T. First off, my statements of #’s matching are due to the stampings and what I’ve read and learned from previous owners. The engine pad stampings are: HC… H=Hemi, C =1967. 426 = 426 CI. W/T= Water tested Block. 01 03= January 3rd Assembly date. O4= the 4th engine assembled that day. According to the fender tag the car was Built Jan 5. Also the side of the block casting is 2468330 which is for 66-71 Hemi. So you do the math there. Since there were no VIN’s stamped on the block in 1967, this car is as close as your going to find. The casting numbers on the transmission too also verify 1967 model year. I bought this car last year and a business opportunity has arisen and I’m considering the sale of this fine car. My car was listed and sold twice at the Barrett Jackson
Auction. Once in 2003 at This car is believed
to be the first Brevard Alzheimer Foundation give away car. As you may know a
very wonderful car dealer in My car was also featured in “Automobile Quarterly” A hard back book that usually features top end exotic cars. See my photos. The pictures in the book were taken BEFORE the car was painted and the new vinyl top was added. My copy of the book will go with the car. Although my car isn’t a “Trailer Queen” it is an honest correct original car. It’s powered by the 426 Hemi and automatic transmission. It features Power steering and power front disc brakes. Bucket seats, console, tachometer and AM Radio. The rear end is a sure grip with 3:23 Gears. It originally came with 14” Red streak tires on 14” Magnums. Those were swapped for 15’s. I also have a copy of the original IBM Card. It was decoded by Chrysler. See photos. The original fender tag is still there too. I found NO build sheet. All I have will be included in the sale of the car. A few modifications were done to this car over the years. Nothing, though to take away its value or rarity in my opinion. The engine was rebuilt several years back and chrome valve covers were added. Also, when it was painted a vinyl top was added. This option does not appear on the IBM card or fender tag. However it looks fantastic. The engine compartment was not restored. Just clear coated. The jams around the trunk and engine compartment are still original paint. Most glass is original. Windshield is new. Bumpers rechromed and front suspension was freshened up. Also new leaf spring anchors were installed. Dual exhaust with the "H" Pipe. The car is straight clean and very nice. All body lines are even and what you’d expect from 1967 standards. The trunk is original and in excellent shape. This is an undercoated car too. There are and never were any rust issues with this car.
As far as my "Buy it now" price goes.....Please check Hagerty Classic car values. I did not price this according to #1 Mint status. I chose # 2 as the criteria there best describes my car. I am UNDER that figure. I'm sure this cars history should add to the value too?? And the Haggerty market is showing a rise as of this month & this year. A true Blue Chip investment. As with any thing, shoot me an offer. All I can do is say "no". But please be serious. I love to talk cars, but serious Qualified buyers only please. All my information I’ve listed is what I believe to be true. So true that I Bought the car! If there is something you deem important please call me. I will do my best to answer what I can. The car is sold as is. Have it inspected if you wish or come see it if your able. I hold clear title to the car. Im in Omaha Nebraska very close to I80. I will assist in transportation of the car as much as possible, but ultimately transportation of the car is the buyers resposibility. Bernie 402 659 1118

Dodge Challenger Scat Pack adds power and noise, with a warranty
Thu, 17 Apr 2014If you want to go fast, there's certainly nothing wrong with the Dodge Challenger SRT8. With 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque for 2014, there's certainly not much to complain about. But what if you want something more aftermarket in flavor? There's no shortage of options, but while turning to the tuner world will make your car plenty fast, that extra power won't just shred rear tires, it'll torch your warranty, as well. That's where Dodge's Scat Pack comes in.
With three stages of mods for both the 5.7 and 6.4-liter Hemi V8s Challenger (as well as the 5.7-liter Charger and, soon, the four-pot Dart), the Scat Pack cars give drivers all the power, aggression and noise of a heavily modded aftermarket car while maintaining the piece of mind provided by the Dodge warranty.
Power gets bumped up to 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque with the 6.4-liter Scat Pack, while the 5.7-liter can provide up to 58 hp and 47 lb-ft of torque to add to the stock engine's 375 horsepower and 410 pound-feet. It's the latter engine that can really get some work done, with upgrades ranging from the mundane - intake and exhaust - to the racy, like the ported heads and high-flow headers.
FCA, Ford idle plants due to semiconductor shortage
Fri, Jan 8 2021DETROIT (Reuters) - Ford and FCA will become the latest automakers to idle production facilities due to a semiconductor shortage. Ford's Louisville Assembly Plant in Kentucky will idle for a week, borrowing a down period from later in the year to compensate. Per Automotive News, FCA is idling its Brampton facility in Ontario, Canada, and one other site which has not yet been identified. Louisville Assembly is the production site for the Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair SUVs; Brampton Assembly produces the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger for FCA. A Ford spokeswoman, who declined to identify the semiconductor supplier, confirmed the temporary shutdown to Reuters. In this, FCA and Ford join Nissan and potentially Honda in idling production in the wake of the shortage, which also hit Volkswagen late last year. The shortages are being blamed on consumer demand for silicon after production slowdowns resulting from the coronavirus pandemic. Volkswagen said it had to adjust production schedules in China, Europe and North America to compensate. Nissan said it planned to reduce production of the Note, a hybrid electric car, at its Oppama Plant in Kanagawa prefecture, Japan, but did not give details of the scale of the output cut. The Nikkei newspaper reported that Nissan would slash its Note production at Oppama to about 5,000 units in January, from an initially planned 15,000 units. "A global shortage of semiconductors has affected parts procurement in the auto sector. As a result of this shortage, the Oppama Plant in Japan will adjust production in January, reducing production of the Nissan NOTE," Nissan said in a statement. Watch 1,414-hp worth of Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat do stereo burnouts
Tue, 08 Jul 2014When Dodge announced that the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat would produce 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque from its supercharged 6.2-liter V8, automotive enthusiasts were shocked. The company had promised us that it would be powerful, but no one expected for the muscle car to post even larger numbers than the range-topping Viper.
Car and Driver recently got ahold of two new SRTs and decided that the only proper way to show them off was by lighting up the rears in stereo. With a combined 1,414 horsepower, the pair of them make burnouts from the Hellcat V8 look as easy as breathing. The tires start spinning at the slightest provocation and just don't stop. If you buy one of these, it looks like you and the employees at the local tire store are going to be on a first name basis.
Scroll down to watch these two Hellcats to lay down enough smoke to alert the local hook and ladder trucks.
