Up for auction is a 1966 Dodge Coronet 440 two door hardtop. Hard work all done, body and paint professionally done. This is a rare car, 361-2 factory four speed. I checked the production numbers and there were 160 made. I have the broadcast sheet, and the warranty certicard with the original owners name on it, the car also has the fender tag.I have the 4 speed trans with the original Inland lockout reverse linkage. I have the 361 numbers matching engine but it is disassembled, and the block is cracked from freezing. This was a solid car had no rust in floors or trunk, just had minor rust in quarters and bottom of front fenders, and was repaired with metal panels, have pictures before, during and after restoration was done. Has new windshield, and gasket installed, also new headliner. Needs seats to be redone, had a white interior, but I had a black headliner installed, I was going to have the seats redone in black. I have all parts except for driveshaft. I was going to put a 440 in the car.Needs brakes and suspension finished. I have spent a lot of money on this car, the hard work is all done. The reasion I am selling the car is that I really want to get a 1969 or 1971 GTX that is mostly done. If you have any questions let me know, Thanks Bob 773-771-4831

2020 Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody to race at Pikes Peak
Thu, Jun 27 2019The 2020 Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody may be world's most badass Charger right now, but it won't be for long. This weekend, Dodge will unveil an even more serious Charger, a one-off racer that will run at Pikes Peak. Tim Kuniskis teased the race car during the Widebody reveal. It will have more power, more tire and more brakes than the road car. He didn't provide exact numbers for any of that, but we at least know it will have more than 707 horsepower, tires wider than 305 millimeters, and better brakes than the regular Hellcat. He said it will have an upgraded version of the Hellcat's 6.2-liter engine. We wouldn't rule out 797 horsepower like in the Hellcat Redeye and in the company's One Lap of America Dodge Durango. We suspect we'll have more concrete details and photos of the car very soon, since the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb takes place this Sunday. One other tidbit: Kuniskis said that we shouldn't expect any of the parts from the race car to show up as Mopar accessories. But we bet there will be plenty of aftermarket companies more than happy to help paying customers recreate it.
FCA fibbed on sales according to internal report
Mon, Jul 25 2016Following last week's news that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is under investigation by the Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission for allegedly fudging sales figures, a new report in Automotive News says an internal investigation at FCA uncovered misreported sales. According to the AN story, 5,000 to 6,000 vehicles from various FCA brands were reported sold by dealers, but no customers existed for those cars. FCA sales chief Reid Bigland has already put a stop to the practice. One potential reason for the practice was to maintain the company's month-to-month sales increase streak, currently at 75 months. In April, FCA added a lengthy disclaimer to its sales announcements: "FCA US reported vehicle sales represent sales of its vehicles to retail and fleet customers, as well as limited deliveries of vehicles to its officers, directors, employees and retirees. Sales from dealers to customers are reported to FCA US by dealers as sales are made on an ongoing basis through a new vehicle delivery reporting system that then compiles the reported data as of the end of each month. "Sales through dealers do not necessarily correspond to reported revenues, which are based on the sale and delivery of vehicles to the dealers. In certain limited circumstances where sales are made directly by FCA US, such sales are reported through its management reporting system." FCA did not provide comment to Automotive News. 2015 Dodge Challenger looks fresh, still plenty retro [w/video]
Thu, 17 Apr 2014It was the Ford Mustang that kicked off the retro-styled muscle car renaissance back in 2005, but it was the Dodge Challenger that served as the movement's poster child, with its unabashedly retro looks. Over the years, though, as the Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro were freshened and upgraded, the look of the big Dodge has remained largely consistent since its 2008 debut. For 2015, the Challenger has received a big freshening, boasting strongly revised front and rear ends and (finally, finally, finally) a redesigned interior.
Let's talk about that new cabin first. It's basically been plucked directly from the redesigned Charger, and boasts the same seven-inch IP display. The center stack's miserable, last-gen display has been replaced by an expansive, 8.4-inch UConnect system. Material quality should see a solid boost with the new cabin, as well.
The exterior, meanwhile, sees a revised front fascia with LED halo lights, as well as new grille inserts. A functional shaker hood scoop is a must-have extra on the V8 models, while the back of the car is highlighted by a new set of LED taillights that don't use the "Racetrack" design of Dodge's other models.
