1973 Dodge Charger

440

Automatic Trans 727 Torqueflight

8 3/4 Rear End

Specifics:  1973 Dodge Charger, Base Model, Ground Up Restoration, done in Florida, I have NO paperwork on that, but I have paperwork on the work that we have done here in California.  The care is dressed as an R/T.  Painted Citron Yellow, not the original color.  Hideaway headlights from an earlier car is installed as well.  Clean California Title.  NO expense spared on this car!

440 4BBL - Completely gone through, block was cleaned and baked, remachined and reassembled with all new parts.  A complete list of parts is available, but to much to list here.  Rebuilt by Jeff at Hot Rod Service Company in Campbell, CA, Machining done by Gromm in San Jose.

727 Torqueflight Transmission - Rebuilt by Bob's Almaden Transmission, built to race specs with a 3000 stall converter.

8 3/4 Rearend - Rebuilt completely by Rearend Specialties in Santa Clara, CA - All new gears, bearings, seals - 3.55 Gear Ratio with a 29 spline upgrade and Mark Williams 1350 Billet Rear Axle Yoke.

Drive Shaft - NEW - 3.5 x .083 Cro-moly Tube, 1350 U-J'S, Mark Williams 727 Torqueflight Yoke - Balanced to 3200 rpms - built and balanced by yours truly!

The mileage stated is not accurate, this car has less than 500 miles since the restoration.

All receipts are available to peruse through and go to the buyer of this vehicle.

I paid 20K for this car and put 15K into the motor, and to fine tune everything else, the work was done by HRSC in Campbell CA, and the receipts are available to the buyer.  I paid a little over 1500.00 for the Transmission done by Bob's Almaden Transmission (parts only), and 750.00 for the Rearend to be rebuilt by Rearend Specialties, the drive shaft cost 400.00 in parts, and my labor was free, so over 40K invested in this car.

There are a TON of pictures, I'll list whatever ebay let's me, and I can email any to whomever asks.

We are located at:  1654 Almaden Road Unit B, San Jose, CA  95125.  Our phone is 408-995-6000 but email is the best, I check emails every hour.

We will work with a delivery service, the car is available for pickup anytime between 8 am and 5 pm Monday Thru Friday, and on the weekends by appointment only.

Questions are welcome! I will the questions to the auctions that I feel are relevant.

Junkyard Gem: 1990 Dodge Colt Vista

Wed, Oct 19 2016

The partnership between Chrysler and Mitsubishi started way back in 1971 and led to plenty of Mitsubishis being sold in the United States as Chryslers, Dodges, Plymouths, and Eagles (plus the use of Mitsubishi engines in all manner of Chrysler-built vehicles). The Colt name – used on a series of Galant-, Lancer-, and Mirage-based cars – became a fairly successful brand for Chrysler, and so it was slapped on Dodge- and Plymouth-badged Mitsubishi Chariots. The Colt Vista wasn't a huge sales success, and you won't see many today, but they had a certain following. Here's a rare '90 that I spotted in a Minneapolis self-service wrecking yard over the summer. Just 114k miles on this one, but the rust got pretty bad and that's the most likely culprit for its junkyardization. These cars made good family haulers, although you wouldn't find many of their 2016 counterparts sporting three pedals. Turbo Tom kept it going for quite a while, but rust never sleeps in Minnesota. Marchionne may stay with FCA until 2020

Mon, Aug 31 2015

We might get to see Sergio Marchionne and his vast array of sweaters in the auto industry for even longer than expected. The FCA CEO suggested last year that he would retire from the automaker when its current five-year plan was complete in 2018. Now, he has tentatively extended that point out to at least 2020. "I can do this for another five years if you push me, right? Beyond that, I ain't gonna do it, and I don't want to," he said to Automotive News. That would give Marchionne a 16-year career at the top from joining Fiat in 2004 to possibly leaving FCA in 2020. Although, take the CEO's statement with a grain of salt because he has made multiple statements about the timing for his retirement. In 2012, Marchionne said he would only remain in charge until 2015, which is, well, now. Those five years might also go quite quickly because Marchionne is a busy guy with the Ferrari IPO, the attempted merger with General Motors, implementing FCA's five-year plan, and many other projects. He's already considering the next CEO, though. "My purpose in life is to find the Kuniskises of the world, the Manleys, the Biglands, the Palmers," Marchionne said to Automotive News, referencing the heads at Dodge, Jeep, FCA North America, and the company's chief financial officer, respectively. "I told them, 'One of you is going to do what I do one day. I don't know who that is, but one of you is going to do it.'"
