Your bidding on a 1972 Rally Airgrabber Charger. The car has a fender tag which decode the car as a true 340 Hemi Orange Rally Airgrabber Car. Fender tags reads wh23-charger E55 which is 340 4 barrel /275 hp Lynch rd Michagan 187915 is the sequence # d-34/automatic Ev 2/hemi orange e6y9/trim unknown/bucket seats/black tx9/black diamond interior door frames 420/build date april 20 177128/order # v4x/unknown top color   U/usa specs v21/performance hood treatment  c16/console with woodgrain panel  n96 fresh air hood  c36 is unknown  n23/electronic ignition  188995/unknown  686/unknown  c42 unknown

The car does not have the original 340 motor, but is a correct date coded 340. Motor has been rebuilt, bored 30 over, with small cam. Engine also has Mallory distributor. Original exaust manafolds, with new duel 2 1/2 inch exaust out the rear. Transmission has been rebuilt, and has 2000 stall convertor. Motor and transmission does not have many miles since being rebuilt, starts and runs fantastic! Engine does not run hot, and still has factory radiator. This is a no air car, but does have power disc brakes and power steering.  The altinator does need replacing. NO rust at all under the hood. Is is a factory hideway headlight car, only 249 Rally Airgrabber cars was made in 1972, they only came in 2 colors, Hemi orange and Yellow, and hideaway headlight option was a order only the, which means this is less than 100  of those.

Has 8 3/4 open rear end/323 gear, car needs rear brake work. This car was stripped to bare metal and primed in urathine. Car has original 14" Rally Wheels. It was also wing car but I do not have the wing. It is a factory hood pin car. The car needs rear valance. There is a small pinhole on passenger on lower rear quarter and a very small spot on the driver side. Quarters do not need replacing. Doors are nice and front fenders. I have the trim for the half vinyl top, and drip rail molding. Also have the front and back window trim that is in really good shape. Car needs new emblems, and seats need reupholstering along with headliner, carpet and dashpad. Not for sure if I have glovebox lid, I will look for it by the end of auction, bid on it like it does not have one. Small pinhole in rear floorpan and some small pinhole in drivers front. The floorpans are strong, would not need replacing for everyday driving. Seat belts are missing. Car will be drivable with alternator and rear brake work. I do have a gas tank for it that goes with it, it currently on a fuel cell, trunk pan is in good condition with small amount of rust around trunkseal as seen in pictures. the car is for sale or trade locally, so we reserve the right to end auction early. Widebody Challenger Hellcat spotted with no camouflage

Mon, May 8 2017

Well this is a mightily mysterious muscle car. One of our photographers caught this Dodge Challenger out testing without any camouflage. At first glance it looks like an SRT Demon, since it has the same widebody flares and front spoiler of the hellacious Challenger. However, the hood is from a garden-variety Hellcat (as if such a thing existed...), the rear spoiler has an SRT Hellcat badge, and the wheels don't come from the kitty or the Hellspawn. We have two theories as to what this SRT mishmash may be. Our first is that this is perhaps a next-generation Hellcat that takes advantage of some of the Demon's developments. It could have a more potent engine under the hood, perhaps with the extra fuel pumps and air-conditioned intercooler, along with the Demon's beefier driveline. It would be a way to keep the Hellcat relevant, and a way for people who might miss out on the one-year-only Demon to get the next closest thing. Our other theory is that this is an all-wheel-drive Hellcat. The wide fender flares and chin spoiler appeared on an all-wheel-drive Challenger concept before they made their way to the Demon. And with the introduction of the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, we know that Mopar has an all-wheel-drive system that can handle the grunt of the 707-horsepower Hellcat mill. If an all-wheel-drive Hellcat is in the cards, it would be another way to keep the Hellcat line fresh without too much investment, and would be a treat for fans of the old all-wheel-drive concept. It would also probably be a great seller here in snowy Michigan. Oh, and it would certainly post some amazing 0-30 acceleration times. Related Video:

2 men die in Dodge Challenger Hellcat crash at Colorado airport

Tue, Sep 12 2017

Two friends died in the crash of a Dodge Challenger Hellcat over the weekend after they shot off the end of an airport runway, authorities said. That someone died in a 707-horsepower Hellcat is, sadly, not unexpected. But two aspects of the story are remarkable. First, the men's ages: The Denver Post reports the crash victims were Lynd Fitzgerald, 71, of Colorado Springs, and his passenger, Roger Lichtenberger, 76, of San Marcos, Calif. Second, their speed: The car was likely moving at over 100 miles per hour, authorities said. The men had permission to use the 8,300-foot runway at Central Colorado Regional Airport in Buena Vista. That's more than a mile and a half long. But when the car left the runway, it went 300 feet before flying over a ravine, hitting the ground, becoming airborne again, flipping end over end across a second ravine, and ultimately landing on its wheels 650 feet past the end of the pavement. Responding police officers tried to provide first aid, but the men were declared dead at the scene. "They were just test-driving this car. They went a little too fast. I don't want to surmise. ... They probably got to the end of the runway and, at that speed, didn't realize they were there so fast. And they lost control. It was just too high a speed and they got to the end of the runway," said Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze. There were skid marks near the end of the runway, but the sheriff didn't know the length. "I've never seen anything like it," Spezze told the newspaper. "They had permission to be there. There were no laws broken." Related Video:

Dodge Durango poised for SRT's devilish power-up

Wed, Jan 11 2017

Does the world need a 707-horsepower Dodge Durango Hellcat? It looks like it's a possibility, according to recent spy shots of a suspicious test mule. But it could also be a Durango powered up with the FCA US 6.4-liter V8 that makes 475 hp. Spy shooters report that the mule captured here sounds like the Hellcat-powered Dodge Chargers and Challengers. Hidden design cues like the fascia suggest this Durango has truly devilish power. There's also a bulging hood with an air intake under the camouflage. So it could be a Durango Hellcat. It's also possible Dodge is dropping the 6.4-liter V8 used in the Grand Cherokee SRT under the hood of the Durango. Engine sharing makes sense, since both FCA SUVs are based on the same platform and built at the same factory in Michigan, though the Durango is longer to accommodate a third row. It is also more logical Dodge would add the 475-hp mill to the Durango's lineup first before going all the way to the 6.2-liter 707-hp Hellcat engine. The most powerful current Durango has a 360-hp 5.7-liter Hemi V8. We expect the Durango will get a refresh for 2018.
