1971 Dodge Charger Rt 440 Auto With Working Factory Air,mopar on 2040-cars
Dundalk, Ontario, Canada
OK MOPAR FANS, I AM SELLING ONE OUT OF MY PERSONAL COLLECTION.
This is a true RT , not a clone. Car runs excellent & I would trust to drive it any were. The 440 runs strong . The motor is date code correct being a 1971 block , but is not vin# correct. Extensive detail went into the engine bay detail as well as the trunk. The air cleaner top has a bit of paint peeling. I have won several awards at multiply car shows & meets I consider this car to be a 9 out of 10 . This car is 43 years old , so its not brand new. Its been driven so there's they odd paint chip here & there. Paint shows a good 9 out of 10, its almost impossible to get a perfect paint job.But i'm picky. The lower back seat cover should be replace , it has some stitching coming out. The rear window felts are showing some wear too. Passenger window has a chip in the top of it as well. I've tried to list any flaws I see , but please ask before bidding. Please view all pics. That should really tell it all. The fender tag is present & reads as follows: 07140 165108 445 046 G11 25 L37 V1X U V60 C16 N51 CX6 D6X9 TX9 323 157489 E86 D32 WS23 U1A 165780 This car is for sale locally , so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I may also lower my reserve at any time , so please be serious when bidding & have your funds in order. Good Luck & thanks for looking nds On May-03-14 at 12:47:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note someone was kind enough to notice the wrong paint code. Code should be GK6. thanks On May-03-14 at 17:08:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Good Question . TIRES have less then 2000 miles on them . I do have a broad cast sheet , buts its in very poor condition. thanks for looking On May-06-14 at 19:32:38 PDT, seller added the following information: Wow there's alot of people losing sleep over this fender tag, so lets try this again. John Schneider's General Lee Dodge Charger up for auction
Thu, Jun 25 2015Over 150 years after it was first adopted, the Confederate flag is disappearing from license plates, state-legislature flagpoles, and even toy cars across the American South. While some are ready to bury those Stars and Bars forever as a symbol of racism and slavery, others will miss them as an emblem of freedom. Regardless of where you stand, the emergence of this particular vehicle on the auction block couldn't have come at a more poignant time. It's a 1969 Dodge Charger, and as you can see it's been done up just like the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard. While it may not be one of the cars used in the original television series, it's not without its provenance. The vehicle is the last of four that were customized by John Schneider, the actor who – long after the rebel flag ceases to fly – will forever be remembered for his portrayal of Bo Duke on that timeless television show. It's painted orange, emblazoned with the number 01 on the doors, the words "Bo's General Lee" above each window, and that controversial flag on the roof. It also features signatures and messages inscribed by Schneider, as well as by Sonny Shroyer (who played Deputy Enos Strate on the show), and by sportscaster and former pro basketball player Jalen Rose who once owned the car. It appeared alongside Schneider in commercials and films, and in the pages of the Mopar Collector's Guide. Now it's set to be sold off to the highest bidder this weekend by Invaluable Auctions and Julien's Auctions, where it's expected to fetch between $200,000 and $300,000 – assuming the latest controversies don't hinder its chances.
Dodge lets us drive 100-years' worth of history [w/videos]
Thu, 03 Jul 2014
A raft of important production models from the last hundred years were available for me to either drive or ride in.
Dodge is 100 years old this year. So, as happened on Ford's recent centennial, the 50-year birthday of the Porsche 911, and others, the company has an excuse to trot out the highlights of its history next to its upcoming model lineup, and declare that "these are the fruits of the Dodge Boys' tree whose roots have grown strong." Or something like that. Never so hampered by marketing skepticism that I'll pass up the opportunity to burn someone else's rubber, I was happy to drive out to Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills, MI - former grand estate of the Dodge family - to hear the spiel.
Watch 1,414-hp worth of Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat do stereo burnouts
Tue, 08 Jul 2014When Dodge announced that the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat would produce 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque from its supercharged 6.2-liter V8, automotive enthusiasts were shocked. The company had promised us that it would be powerful, but no one expected for the muscle car to post even larger numbers than the range-topping Viper.
Car and Driver recently got ahold of two new SRTs and decided that the only proper way to show them off was by lighting up the rears in stereo. With a combined 1,414 horsepower, the pair of them make burnouts from the Hellcat V8 look as easy as breathing. The tires start spinning at the slightest provocation and just don't stop. If you buy one of these, it looks like you and the employees at the local tire store are going to be on a first name basis.
Scroll down to watch these two Hellcats to lay down enough smoke to alert the local hook and ladder trucks.
