1971 Charger Se Beautiful Cruiser. on 2040-cars
Los Angeles, California, United States
1971 Charger SE Automatic Transmission. Mileage unknown as it was probably over 100,000 when I bought it. Beautiful cruiser for someone's New Years present! Don't really want to sell but need the money so my loss is your gain. Its been a great car for the 12 years Ive had it. Its always been reliable but Ive been fixing it a little at a time as money permitted. Just getting it listed now but I'll add more info as soon as I go over the receipts for all the things Ive done. Good news: Strong, reliable 318. Never had a problem with any of the drivetrain. Starts right up. Never overheated and doesn't smoke. Good tires strong brakes redone front end new radiator Drives straight $900 Al & Eds stereo system Painted Corvette yellow. Gets lots of thumbs up while driving around. Air suspension in rear. Beautiful black interior. All electrical works Needs work: There is a little too much play in the steering. I still drive it everywhere but I would work on this if I had time & funds. Car had been in an accident before I bought it. It was professionally repaired and Right Rear fender has some bondo. Looks fine from a few feet away and doesn't interfere with the car. Body panels all fit nicely as they should. Needs a new steering column outer housing. Works fine but someone tried to steal it by breaking thru the outer housing to hot-wire the car. Its missing the needle that shows which gear its in. Couple paint chips. Light surface scratches on drivers side window. 2 inch tear in upholstery above back seats. I know about Mopars but Im not a mechanic so I will answer all questions as best I can. I have driven it up and down the coast from Santa Barbara to the Mexican border and have not had a problem with it in over 10 years. Its gets garaged when not driven and is a thing of beauty. Nice growl in the engine. Sounds bigger than it is when idling and sets off many a car alarm. My family has had years of enjoyment and now it can be someone else's turn. |

Chrysler recalls 88,888 Darts, Durangos, and Grand Cherokees for two separate issues
Fri, Nov 18 2016Chrysler announced a pair of recalls for the Dodge Dart, Durango, and Jeep Grand Cherokee. They're unrelated, as the Dart recall concerns windshield washer pumps, and the Durango and Grand Cherokee recall is for fuel rails. But, as Automotive News discovered, the number of cars involved in both totals up to 88,888 cars, which is rather bizarre. Breaking down the coincidental number, we first have 34,633 2016 Dodge Durangos and Jeep Grand Cherokees recalled because fasteners on the intake manifold can come into contact with the fuel rail on some vehicles. This could lead to a fuel leak, and a subsequent fire hazard. Chrysler believes only 30 vehicles will have this defect, but it's inspecting any that could have had the issue. The other part of the 88,888 cars recalled in total consists of 54,255 2016 Dodge Darts. The windshield washer pumps on affected cars could short-circuit the wiper system, disabling the wipers. Chrysler will notify owners of all vehicles, and will replace any faulty parts at no cost to the owner. Owners can also contact Chrysler's customer care center at 1-800-853-1403. 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack
Fri, 24 Oct 2014We all knew That Kid. As a freshman, he was a big kid, overweight but surprisingly strong. Still, he was often picked on for his size. Then, he chatted with the football coach, who convinced him that his true calling was on the team's offensive line. After a season on the freshman squad and a summer of two-a-days, this mild-mannered, husky high schooler returned for his sophomore year as a big, imposing, solid piece of muscle. Needless to say, the same bullies that picked on him were praying he'd forgotten about them as a 10th grader.
That's the V8-powered 2015 Dodge Challenger. It arrived on the scene with a max of 425 horsepower and a bit of a weight problem. It completed its proverbial freshman year with a nice 2011 refresh, where the SRT8 was bumped up to 470 hp, but it still had some work to do.
Enter 2015, and fresh off three months of constant burpees and wind sprints, the newest Challenger is as big and powerful as it's ever been, but it's now got poise and potential, and my goodness, it's fun in a way that Dodge's muscle car has never been.
