This car has spent it's entire life within 10 miles of the original owner & has had the same fussy owner since the late 70's! It is all numbers matching with original build sheet, original door v.i.n. decal, original fender & dash tags, orig. dual point distributor, original carbs, original radiator, pulleys, oil pan, spare, jack, interior, dashpad etc. etc. etc.. It is unrestored except for the paint on the mint, rustfree original trunk floor, hood & lower rear quarters & the engine was just freshened up & redetailed also. There was never any rust or hits- the original hood was replaced in the 70's with an n.o.s. part & the trunk floor had some very light surface rust & there was some light road-rash on the lower rear 1/4's, the red pinstripe was added in the early 70's & left in place.
There were only 58 1971 Challengers built with the 426 HEMI 4 speed!! This car is more rare than a 1971 Hemicuda!! When new, the Challenger outsold the 'cuda in total production but for various reasons, the cuda has become more popular among collectors- NOW, the Challenger is catching up quickly. Another current trend in the musclecar market is the attention quality survivors are getting from serious collectors- (anyone can buy a restored car!). Look at anything collectible......once it reaches a certain age, a restored example is worth far less than a nice unrestored example.

Thu, Apr 30 2015One has James Bond Mode, Insane Mode, Creep Mode, and, yes, Insane Creep Mode. The other has 707 horsepower and is a heck of a lot cheaper. But which one is the bigger American badass? We figure most people already have strong opinions on the Dodge Charger Hellcat and Tesla Model S P85D, and they aren't likely to be swayed too far in the opposite direction by another person's viewpoint. Still, we think you'll enjoy watching the video above. The Dodge Demon is leaked in Fast 8 video with Vin Diesel
Thu, Jan 19 2017It's only week two of the twelve-part Dodge Demon teaser roll out, and it already appears the metaphorical Hellcat is out of the bag. A YouTube video featuring Vin Diesel discussing The Fate of the Furious ( Fast 8) has what are almost certainly two Dodge Challenger Demons parked right in the background. So much for three months worth of build up and mystique. The two cars in the video appear to have the new logo affixed to the fender, right where the current Hellcat logo resides. In addition, the wheels and the massive hood scoop both appear to be the same relative shape as the ones briefly flashed in the latest teaser video. While we can't be 100 percent certain this is really a Demon, all the evidence points to yes. Even if this spoiled Dodge's plans, actually seeing the car here makes us even more excited for the full reveal. We still don't know all the final specs, save that it'll be 200 lbs lighter, so there is still some mystery to be had. The Challenger and Charger Hellcat twins, some of the most brazen and brutish machines currently on the road, were already cranked up to 11. The Demon, with its wide fender flares and comically large hood scoop looks makes the standard car look tame by comparison. We can't wait. Here are the cars Fast 8 characters will drive in Iceland
Tue, Jun 28 2016The eighth installment of the Fast & Furious franchise will feature some characteristic wheel-to-wheel adventuring, this time on Icelandic ice. As revealed by the F&F production team, here are some of the vehicles that will be seen in the film. What else could Dominic Toretto drive than a Dodge? The previous film showed a Charger fitted for off-road driving, and this time the classic shape has been formed into an ice racer. The muscle car is still recognizable, but the altered wheelbase and fender flares make this something quite different. And as the bullet holes testify, the matte black machine is definitely going to see some action. Letty drives a Local Motors Rally Fighter, which might be the best fit for the ice scenes. The off-road coupe has been modified with a brush bar and some serious roof-mounted lights. Roman will be seen behind the wheel of an orange Lamborghini Murcielago, easily standing out in the frozen wastes. To top it off, there are some tank-like machines: There's a tracked Ripsaw for Tej Parker and an "Ice Ram" for Hobbs, who is played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Both of these look like mean machines, and on the screen they'll probably prove to be the admission ticket's worth.
