Hudson, Florida, United States

This 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT 8 has been converted to the #001 Mr. Norm 426 Hemi Cuda King Cuda Edition. It is the only one that has ever been built. It is believed to be the very first & only Classic 426 Hemi engine that has been put into a new Dodge Challenger. This model has a Mr. Norm Cuda grill and the real Mr. Norm 71 cuda taillights, the rear panel uses actual 71 cuda lens and bezels. Matte black 1971 hemi billboards & shaker hood were added to complete that retro cuda look. This car uses the stock 2009 SRT front and rear suspension, the front cradle was modified to accept the classic 426 hemi. This one drives just like a new SRT but has a real 426 hemi engine it. It has big Brembo brake system from the SRT Challenger. The 426 hemi engine has been rebuilt using forged 10.5 to 1 pistons, a real hemi crankshaft and hemi rods, it is a fresh motor with only test miles on it. The car uses a 4L80 automatic transmission, Classic Hilborn Injection converted to EFI by Bob Ream of Imagine Injection was used, it has a FAST computer system to control the electronic fuel injection, and a March Performance serpentine belt system. It sounds as good as it looks. The interior is basically stock SRT with Autometer Gauges added, Ididit tilt steering column, and a Grant Steering wheel. We used the stock A/C system and added a Kenwood stereo system. This car has all of the power comforts you would expect from a newer car. It has a rollbar in the car if you decide you would like to try to take it to the track. The idea was a create a unique vehicle concept that combined the best of both worlds, the styling of yesteryear with the best today has to offer. Mr. Norm has been know for over 50 years of performance proven knowhow. This model continues that legacy, this is someone's chance to own a piece of automotive history. We have no plans to build another. This one will remain one of one. |

Ford leads top searched-for car brands on Google in 2014
Mon, Dec 22 2014With less than two weeks until 2014 takes its final bow, anyone and everyone is looking back on the past 50 or so weeks to see how they stacked up. For search giant Google, that means its time to check out its annual Trends report. Besides the most popular search term (the late, great Robin Williams), the most searched for gadget (the iPhone 6) and most searched for disease symptoms (quite worryingly, Ebola took the crown here), we have the most searched for automaker. With the long-awaited sixth-generation of one of America's most iconic vehicles, the Mustang, and a ground-breaking update for the US market's perennial best seller, the F-Series, it should come as no surprise at all that Ford was Google's most searched for automaker in 2014. Jeep captured second place, while Dodge, took third. We suspect introducing a pair of cars with 707 horsepower had something to do with that bronze medal... Scroll down to see the rest of this year's most searched for automakers, and then head into Comments and let us know if you're surprised by any of these. This content is hosted by a third party. Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat ringtone revs up [w/video]
Wed, 30 Jul 2014The best (or worst, depending on your views) thing about smartphones is that you're able to carry lots, and lots of useful stuff around in your pocket. That means you can always have a phone, messaging service, email, flashlight, calculator, dictionary, encyclopedia, and literally thousands of other things on your person at all times. Now, we can add one more thing for you to carry about in your little slab of aluminum, glass and plastic - a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
Now, you obviously can't carry around a 707-horsepower muscle car around in your pocket. That'd be ridiculous, impractical and uncomfortable. You can, however, carry around the noise made by said muscle car's 6.2-liter, supercharged Hemi V8, thanks to a new, free-to-download ringtone from the folks at Dodge and SRT.
We can't embed the ringtone here, so if you'd like to hear exactly how it'll sound when your phone goes off, you'll need to head over to the SRT Hellcat's page. If that's more trouble than it's worth, the same ringtone was attached to a tiny speaker on the press kit for the mighty Challenger, and was captured on video by our own Seyth Miersma (don't worry, he's already been soundly dressed down for shooting a video in portrait mode).
PGA golfer Kevin Na won a '73 Dodge Challenger, gave it to his caddie
Tue, May 28 2019PGA Golfer Kevin Na had one of the best Memorial Day weekends on the planet, as he took home more than $1.3 million from winning the Charles Schwab Challenge. But his caddie Kenny Harms' weekend wasn't too far behind. In addition to the monetary purse, Na won a restomodded 1973 Dodge Challenger, which he then immediately gifted to Harms. Plus, as a sponsor of the event, Lexus gave Harms a free one-year lease on a new UX F Sport. In 15 events so far in 2019, 35-year-old Na has three times finished in the top 10, but his victory at the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Texas was his first tournament win of the year. Na, who has been a pro since 2001, was awarded a restored '73 Challenger as part of his winnings. His caddie had been ogling the ride all week, and even predicted the car would be his: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. As soon as Na won the tournament, turned to Harms and yelled, "that's your car!" This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. After the event, Na joked that he wasn't sure how Harms convinced him to give the car away. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Coincidentally, Harms first car was a crummy 1973 Chevrolet Camaro. Steve Strope and his Cali-based shop Pure Vision handled the Challenger customization. Aside from the suggestion of blue paint, Schwab let Strope work his magic. He took the car down to the bare metal before building it back up as an impressive restomod. Because Dodge started downgrading power in the '73 Challengers, Strope swapped in a modern 6.4-liter Hemi crate motor that's rated at 485 horsepower. Several other special touches were added, including tartan interior accents that nod to the famous tartan jacket that is awarded to the tournament's winner. The video above details some of the work. Something tells us the Lexus UX might get a little more use but a little less love than the Challenger. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences.
