Thank you for viewing my Challenger. All of the important features and details are listed in the auction listing but I'd like to add in a few more notes about the car.

If you can't afford an SRT-8, then I am telling you, this is the used Challenger you are looking for. Why? Because it has low miles (under 24K), 6-speed manual transmission (no brainer), leather-interior and A LOT OF POWER, without the extreme gas usage of an SRT-8. It is also very clean.

This car has been garage kept as long as I've owned it. While I am not the first owner, the car was in fantastic condition when I purchased it and still is. I would bet any money that the car has always been garage kept. It has never seen snow. It has never been smoked in either. I have had it regularly serviced several times since owning it and I have only used premium gasoline in it. All oil changes are up to date. You may need tires within the next year or so, depending on how much you drive it. The current tires have some normal wear/tear but are in good shape.

This car has never been in an accident.

The engine, interior and dash-board components are all in stunning condition.

Title in hand.

The car does have a few VERY MINOR cosmetic blemishes and the key-fob issue. The car is still considered to be in very-good to excellent condition. As I stated earlier, the few minor cosmetic blemishes and key-fob issue could be taken care of for less than $500.00. I need to sell this car and don't have the time or money at this time so I would like to sell this beauty to someone who can enjoy it more.

I don't drive this car very often, but when I do, its flattering how many compliments I get. From friends and family members, to complete strangers at stop-lights and gas-stations, this car is a true head-turner with a lot of power. This was my "realistic dream car" but after about a year of owning, my life situation has changed a bit and I need to let her go.

After doing some research, I have found that the Kelly Blue Book Price for this car, as of today in excellent condition is $25,598. The KBB suggested private party price for this car in very-good condition is $24,948. I would like all bidders to know that my reserve price is BELOW both of those figures to account for the small blemish to the bumper, door sill and rim (and the key-fob issue).

Living in Western Pennsylvania, this car is not exactly a hot sell in the winter time, so I have turned to Ebay Motors to sell it. However, I am attempting to sell this car locally too, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions what-so-ever.

2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody Drivers' Notes | Widebody for everybody

Thu, Nov 14 2019

The 2019 and soon to be 2020 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody is another Challenger dart thrown against the wall by Dodge. It takes the desirable Widebody package we’ve seen on Hellcats and applies it to the naturally aspirated Scat Pack with the 6.4-liter V8. This kit includes stiffer adaptive shocks, stiffer springs, larger stabilizer bars, big Brembo brakes, a 3.09 rear axle ratio, 20-inch forged wheels and massive 305 section-width tires on all four corners. Most important of all, you get the special Widebody fender flares that give the car its signature look. The package is $6,000 on top of a regular Scat Pack. That means the cheapest youÂ’ll step into a Scat Pack Widebody is $46,740. The Widebody that rolled through our offices came in at a much-higher $57,295 after a number of options were tacked on. Many of these, you can skip. The 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque that comes standard is the most important aspect of this big coupe. Several packages costing more than $1,000 each add convenience and driver assistance tech, and the Harman/Kardon system is a hefty $1,595. With such a loud engine and exhaust, itÂ’s hardly worthwhile. Our tester also had the $1,595 eight-speed automatic transmission. ThisÂ’ll let you scare unsuspecting bystanders with the remote start system, but opting for a manual is an easy way to save some cash and increase driver involvement. With all the modern technology like adaptive cruise control, auto high-beams, heated and cooled seats, and blind-spot detection, the Challenger tries its best to keep up with the times. ItÂ’s no technological marvel, but itÂ’s neat to see some of these options available for folks who might want them. Still, tech gizmos are not what the Widebody is about. This Challenger keeps the same personality as all of those before it, but adds a dash of handling and hostility to its outward appearance. Here are our varied experiences with it during a week of testing. Editor-in-Chief, Greg Migliore: Yes, you can put a rear-facing convertible car seat in a Dodge Challenger. I did. It actually wasnÂ’t that hard. Remember, the Challenger is genetically a Mercedes sedan and shares underpinnings with the Dodge Charger. The biggest hurdles are ingress and egress, which is to be expected in any coupe. The roofline is low, but really not that bad. I simply lifted my toddler and maneuvered him into the backseat.  I was able to get him secured and fastened, and then I just stepped out of the car.

China own a Detroit automaker? Would the U.S. let that happen?

Tue, Aug 15 2017

The news that several Chinese automakers want to buy Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and that one has even made an offer, elicits some mixed feelings. On one hand, as some have pointed out, it could be a win-win both for China and for FCA's American workers, ensuring the company's survival and opening new markets. On the other hand, this is China, whose trade relationship with the U.S. is the source of considerable scrutiny from the Trump administration — and whose not-a-friend, not-an-enemy status is particularly difficult to gauge right now during heightened tensions with its client state North Korea. So would such a deal pass regulatory muster? One reason that springs to mind for blocking any sale has to do with national security. Chrysler's role as a military supplier dates back to Dodge trucks used by Gen. Blackjack Pershing to chase Pancho Villa in Mexico, and shortly thereafter by American forces in World War I. The Detroit Three automakers were, of course, mainstays of the Arsenal of Democracy of World War II. Even before U.S. entry into the war in December 1941, America's industrial machinery went into overdrive, and Chrysler was one of the biggest cogs. It engineered and built the M3, Sherman and Pershing tanks and trucks for Gen. George Patton's Redball Express. It helped develop a radar-guided antiaircraft gun that knocked German bombers and V1 rockets out of the sky — on one day, shooting down 97 of 101 V1s headed for London. On D-Day, the radar system helped thwart Luftwaffe counterattacks on the beaches of Normandy, and it later helped Allied forces break out at the Battle of the Bulge. Chrysler redesigned the Wright Cyclone engines used by the Boeing B-29 Superfortress, the plane that firebombed Tokyo and dropped the atomic bombs that ended the war. Chrysler even played a secret role refining uranium in Oak Ridge, Tenn., that was used in the Hiroshima bomb and in the ensuing Cold War arms race. It worked on military missiles and was NASA's prime contractor for the Saturn V rocket that put men on the moon. More recently, Chrysler produced the M1 Abrams tank. And of course Chrysler is the keeper of the flame for Jeep, a 75-plus-years military legacy handed down from Bantam and Willys to Kaiser to AMC to Chrysler. The point of this history lesson is to note that in times of war or national emergency, America's industrial might has been called to serve, and may well be called on again.

Jay Leno's 426-powered 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 is simple and simply fun

Wed, Dec 21 2016

This week on Jay Leno's Garage, the man in denim presents one of his most subdued-looking cars, a 1966 Dodge Coronet 500. Despite that, it's one of his favorites. As he shows, the car is nearly free of any unnecessary options, excepting bucket seats and a console shifter. At least those are the only visible options, since the original owner also opted for the massive 426 cu. in. Hemi V8. What Leno really likes about the car is the honking huge V8 combined with the car's simplicity, especially the lack of frivolities like scoops, stripes, and wings. It's finished in a low-key, dark metallic green, and has plain-Jane "dog dish" wheel covers. The one downside to the vehicle is the lack of stopping and turning ability, Leno says, which is not surprising considering the four-wheel drum brakes and lack of power assist. And keep in mind, the Coronet is not a small car. Still, it's a mean green machine, and it sounds great. Leno also demonstrates the engine's capability to chirp the tires going into second gear, despite having a three-speed automatic and a relatively tall 3.23 rear axle gear ratio. Check out the video above to get the whole story and to hear rumbling V8 noises. Related Video:
