1972 Dodge Challenger Restored as a 1970 Dodge Challenger Tribute. Car is two days away from completion of a 3 year restoration. Started as a 1972 318 Auto solid NM car. It has been converted to a 1970 440 R/T Challenger. 440 engine and transmission have been rebuilt. Front suspension rebuilt. New TTI headers with dual mufflers and R/T exhaust tips. Brake system has been restored. New rear wing, dash pad, carpet, seat covers, front door panels, headliner, exterior door handles, carb, power steering pump, belts, aluminum radiator, battery, shocks, fuel tank, big block fuel sending unit, Auto pistol grip shifter, front windshield, etc. Car is painted B5 blue with dual chrome mirrors. Vinyl roof, R/T hood. Winged. The conversion is an all bolt on with a complete 1970 Challenger front clip. Quarters remain with 1972 rear marker lights. Car was purchased for $7,500 and $28k into restoration. Rims and tires are 14" Rallye and can be removed and credit given (someone may prefer custom set or larger 15" Rallye). Selling car for a friend who is in a bind and needs to sell this car immediately and willing to take a large loss. Car is sold as is with no warranty. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles recalls nearly 750k vehicles in two campaigns

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling a total of 747,817 vehicles in the US in two separate campaigns recently added to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration database.
The first one covers about 434,581 units of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Challenger, Durango, and Jeep Grand Cherokee from the 2011-2014 model years with electric hydraulic power steering, the 3.6-liter V6 engine and a 160 amp alternator, according to FCA. In the affected vehicles, it's possible for the alternator to fail without warning and possibly cause the car to stall. According to the documentation submitted to NHTSA, the automaker began investigating the problem in August 2014 and has found possible evidence of one crash caused by the failures but no known injuries.
Customers will begin receiving notification about the recall next month, and obviously the repairs will be done at no cost to them.

Consumer Reports says these are the worst new cars of 2014

Consumer Reports has announced its annual list of worst vehicles, a cringe-inducing contrast to its list of top vehicles. Ignominiously leading the way in 2014 is Chrysler, which has a staggering seven models listed.
Jeep nearly sweeps the small SUV segment by itself, with its Compass, Patriot and 2.4-liter version of the new Cherokee, while the only midsize sedans listed by CR were the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey round out CR's condemnation of Chrysler.
Ford is taking heat as well, with the Taurus, Edge and their counterparts from Lincoln all listed as the worst vehicles in their respective segments. Toyota doesn't fare much better, with its Lexus IS, Scion iQ and tC also making the list.
