Auto, WAS a real TA, re-bodied due to severe rust. Motor, trans rebuilt- 1250 miles since. six pack rebuilt. Yes I have the complete six pack set up, it too was overhauled but I am currently running a single four barrel for breaking in the engine >How about the fender tags? How about the six pack setup? The six pack is overhauled and boxed up at the moment. and I haven't had a chance to look at the fender tag as I'm out of the country >When you crossed over the components, did you switch the VIN? No the VIN wasn't changed, that would be a felony >Hi What do you mean was a TA,TA CLONE,REBODIED BECAUSE OF RUST? The original TA body was beyond repair due to rust so a good body was found and all of the TA parts were transferred to the new body. >OK, do you have the original fender tag for the T/A or a broadcast sheet showing how it was equipped by chance? I will have to check on that with the guy I got it from. I'll let you know as soon as I find out. Still waiting.. > What parts from the T/A are on this car then? What did this car start life as? 318? /6? or? The car was a complete TA but the body was too far gone. All the TA parts were transferred to the donor body. I believe the vin shows a straight 318 car > Is it titled with the donor body VIN or the T/A VIN? It is titled with an assigned vin buy the Washington state DMV >I think you need to reconsider your pricing given this is not a original numbered car. Thoughts? I had two professional appraisals done before I got the car, so I'm happy with where my asking price is. I am willing to entertain offers but not in the $9000-12000 range. >Do you have any before the restoration pics? I didn't do the restoration so I do not have any of the before pictures. |

Fiat Chrysler expands Takata airbag recall to 3.3M vehicles
Fri, Dec 19 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is expanding its recall of vehicles equipped with Takata airbags, moving beyond Florida, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands to the greater US, as well as Mexico, Canada and beyond. The affected vehicles, some 3.3 million in total, were built between 2004 and 2007, with many models, including the Dodge Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500, Durango and the Chrysler 300, having been affected by Chrysler's previous recall. Despite the somewhat alarming nature that comes with a recall of this many vehicles, it seems that Chrysler is moving more out of an abundance of caution (and federal pressure) than anything else, saying: "Neither FCA US, nor Takata Corporation, the supplier, has identified a defect in this population of inflators. These components also are distinct from Takata inflators cited in fatalities involving other auto makers. More than 1,000 laboratory tests have been performed on these components. All deployed as intended, but FCA US continues to study the suspect inflators, which are not used in the Company's current production vehicles." Owners of affected vehicles will be notified and asked to report to dealers for a free replacement driver's side airbag. Scroll down for the official press release from FCA. Statement: Global Air-Bag Inflator Replacement December 19, 2014 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC will replace driver's-side air-bag inflators in an estimated 3.3 million older-model vehicles worldwide, in an expansion of an ongoing regional field action. Outside of Florida, one of the areas covered by the original action, no FCA US vehicle has been linked to an air-bag deployment of the type that has raised public concern. Nevertheless, the Company is replacing the Takata components tied to that concern. FCA US is aware of one related injury involving one of its vehicles, an older-model sedan. It occurred in a southern Florida region marked by persistent, high, absolute humidity – a condition believed to be a contributing factor in the air-bag deployments under investigation.
Watch a Dodge Challenger Demon break 200 mph
Fri, Feb 16 2018We all know that the Dodge Challenger Demon is a monster in short bursts. Its 840 horsepower and drag-ready tires allow it to hit 60 mph in a claimed 2.3 seconds on the way to a sub-10-second quarter-mile time. But it turns out that the Demon doesn't run out of grunt after the quarter-mile. This was proven by a group that took one to the runway where space shuttles landed, Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds in Florida. There they hit a top speed of 203 mph. Dodge doesn't give a top speed for the Demon, but for a bit of comparison, the 707-horsepower Hellcat Widebody has a top speed of 199 mph. Watching the video, it's interesting how calm things appear to be in the cabin. There doesn't appear to be much vibration, and the car was clearly staying steady in a straight line, since the driver hardly moved the wheel. And before you know it, the 2.3-mile run is over. The run's not official unless a record-keeping body is witnessing it, and there will surely be Demons out there trying to beat this run, but it's sure fun to watch in the meantime. Sat, 16 Aug 2014If you're an enthusiast, and you don't know that Dodge spawned another Hellcat this week, you really must have been living in cave. The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is probably the biggest news for enthusiasts since the reveal of, well the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
But, there are some things you might not know or might have missed about the new Charger and Challenger Hellcats. For starters, reports that the Hellcat production would be limited to a low volume are not true.
"We have not capped the Hellcat on either the Challenger or the Charger," Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis said.
