2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8.....so it seems.....

I bought a gorgeous 09 SRT8 Challenger from Dallas TX almost 3 years ago from a Porsche dealership of all places.  Previous adult owner loved a wide array of toys and traded the SRT8 in on a new Porsche for his wife.  His loss, my BIG gain.  It was meticulously maintained and was actually a daily driver - the worst it ever saw was Dallas dust.  I flew down to TX and within minutes was driving a dream back to OH.

Challengers were popping up everywhere...which was a very good sight to see, but the craze to make the Challenger your own was ON!  I had a personal goal of getting my dream car of a 70 HemiCuda in Sublime green with a PistolGrip (5)spd Tremec by the time I reached 50 years of age.  I saw my dream dwindle as I lost my job and began slow self-employment.  However, I did well enough to buy my SRT8!  I wasn't about to change it to Sublime green, but started to customize one Stealth-looking beauty of a Challenger.  I got the crazy idea of making my own HemiCuda tribute (on a non-sponsored/TV/tycoon budget, that is).  I think I have come out on the other side with a true #1 of 001.  Never had a negative comment about anything I've done to it to make it tribute/honor/emulate a HemiCuda.  A few 70 touches, a few 71 touches.  If by chance, you DONT like what you see, please refrain from telling me - keep negative commentsto yourself.   And here it is.........

There is too much to list and I will be typical in saying I really don't want to sell my baby, but everything has it's price.  Let's see if someone wants to purchase my dream.
A quick rundown:   Lowered 1.5" from stock, Eibach Springs, Hotchkis Suspension, Bilstein shocks, Corsa exhaust, MSD ignition.
Cosmetically:  custom 'AAR'-style strobe stripe in matte black, de-badged ramheads & challenger with either 'M' mopar or authentic 'cuda'emblems (from things I collected for my 70 dream), Hurst Pistol Grip Shifter with carbon fiber sleeves, functional Shaker Hood assembly & fiberglass hood w/'original' hemicuda emblems from a real 70 shaker, 71-style grille insert, brushed headlight bezels, aesthetic hoodpins, custom polished HEMI embossed coil cover/'valve' covers, custom-made 'nascar-style' rear spoiler (only element I may change - but everyone has the AAR or go-wing spoiler now even on their SE and SXT Challenger)....I do have the original SRT8 spoiler and emblem to put backon if preferred, 70-style fish gille rocker moudlings, and the best addition so far - a set of Custom RT-S Weld Racing wheels made specifically for my car with my specs of backspacing/offset.  Rears are 20x9, fronts are 18x8.  These wheels co$t more a piece than most wheels cost per set.  Tires are Dunlop Sport Maxx 275/50/20 rears & 235/50/18 fronts.  I have recently added custom-made Raised White Letters to the tires - some photos show my  previous set of lettering, but the current (larger font) set is very high-quality and look great!!    Engine compartment has also been signed by SRT president and 'rock-star' Ralph Gilles from the Moparpalooza gathering in Chantilly, VA on 5-20-12.  There is too much else to list.......
Body is near MINT.  To the naked eye, it is showroom new.  To the perfectionist, there are 2 'shadow' dings on the roof.  Paint is spectacular.
Interior still smells brand NEW and is 100% perfect - leather perfect, suede perfect,dash/panels perfect, carpet perfect.
This car has been very well taken care of from day one, from previous owner to myself.  I am in my mid-40s and I don't 'beat' my vehicles or thrash it while being coaxed by a bunch of guys in ballcaps, jeans & flannels hoot and holler with beers in their hands.  Gotta love the 'crowds' sometimes....it's not their money if something breaks or have to drop $2k on tires.

I would prefer to sell OVERSEAS.....why?  Because I will have great remorse and depression if  there is a chance I will see my baby again.  I will work with exporters and transporters and for the right buyer may consider personal delivery.
My goal in selling this?.....I need to tap into some equity in something - this is pretty much all I have left.  Do I need alot or do I have bookies coming after me for $100k?  No.  I would like to pull $10,000 out of this sale and take the balance and build this car all over again!!!  It may take me another 2-3 years, but I want the same exact car again.  Not selling because I am bored.  I need some cash, and I need to do this again - it has been a BLAST doing it!!!   In fact, if someone has a Challenger or wants to buy a Challenger, and wants to contract me to customize theirs with some upfront cash - I would be over the moon to do so!
Feel free to visit a small taste of things on my Facebook page, look up: RevUnlimited.  There are also plenty of photos of my HemiCuda SRT on there as well!
I welcome emails from serious buyers only.  I can add a Buy It Now for the right offer.   And for anyone interested in partnering on their Challenger, get in touch with me on Facebook.
Let's see where this goes........
This would be an As-Is sale, no warranty expressed or implied or available.  Please have funds ready to purchase, I have the right to cancel bids, end the auction or sell locally at any time.  Feel free to make a Buy-It-Now offer if you really don't want to miss out here.  Email me.

2014 Dodge Durango leaks ahead of NY rollout

Wed, 27 Mar 2013

Even though Chrysler will reportedly discontinue the Dodge Durango after the current model's lifespan - said to be around 2016 - that isn't stopping the automaker from improving its full-size, three-row SUV. The vehicle won't debut at the New York Auto Show until tomorrow, but images are already leaking out ahead of the embargo lift, and they show that the 2014 model is getting even more aggressive styling to go with more technology inside and out.
Dodge limited its early press shots of the new Durango to just the R/T trim level, but this new look adds a meaner look to this model with more dramatic projector-beam headlights along with a "floating" crosshair grille and a restyled fascia. At the rear of the Durango, LED racetrack taillights show a family resemblance to the Charger and Dart, while a new rear fascia adds to the styling while also allowing for an integrated trailer hitch.
On the tech side, the instrument panel looks to have been redesigned to include a standard seven-inch thin-film transistor (TFT) gauge cluster, and it also appears as if Chrysler's well-liked UConnect system has been updated with the 8.4-inch touchscreen found in other Chrysler vehicles. The 2013 model's conventional console shifter has been replaced by a rotary knob for gear selection, suggesting that there are transmission changes afoot as well. We'll have more details when the silks slide off this big boy tomorrow, so stay tuned.

Dodge rolls out Shaker package for 2015 Challenger

Mon, Feb 16 2015

Having an awesome Hemi engine under the hood can deliver impressive performance, but for those who lament not being able to see that big V8 engine doing its thing, hidden away under the hood, Dodge offers the Shaker hood on its Challenger muscle car. And it's just released the option for the updated 2015 model. Now available on two engines and three trim levels – including the Challenger R/T and R/T Plus with the 5.7-liter V8 and the 6.4-liter Challenger 392 – the new Shaker hood brings cold air into the engine compartment and lets everyone see that V8 (or at least an appendage thereof) shaking away in plain view. Arriving 45 years after the original Shaker Challenger, the package includes a satin black hood scoop, cold-air intake, conical air filter and optimized air box, along with Shaker graphics inside, out and under the hood. The 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker and R/T Plus Shaker are available to order now, priced at $35,495 and $38,495, respectively (plus a $995 destination charge), and come bundled with the Super Track Pak. Order books open in March for the 392 HEMI Shaker, which also comes with the Scat Pack, for $42,495 (plus destination and $1,000 gas-guzzler tax if equipped with the manual transmission). 2020 Dodge Charger pricing starts at $31,390

Fri, Sep 27 2019

We've been talking about the 2020 Dodge Charger for three months, and it's finally time to start doing the math on trade-in values and loan payments. The 2020 Charger lineup starts with the SXT in rear-wheel-drive trim priced at $29,895, plus a $1,495 destination charge for a total of $31,390. That's a $425 bump over the 2019 model. The rest of the range doesn't get a price bump higher than $250 save for the Hellcat Widebody. The 2019 Charger didn't offer Widebody variants, so those are new for 2020. The lineup with MSRP changes from 2019: Charger GT RWD $33,390 ($150 more than 2019) Charger SXT AWD $35,090 ($25 more) Charger R/T $37,890 ($150 more) Charger Scat Pack $41,490 ($250 less) Charger Scat Pack Widebody $47,490 (brand new model) Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody $71,140 ($2,150 more than 2019 non-widebody) Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition $75,635 (brand new model) There's a price differential of $44,245 from bottom to top. Even more relevant to the Charger faithful, there's a displacement and power differential from the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 in the SXT with 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque to the 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 in the Charger Hellcat Widebody Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition with 717 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Dodge plumps the Scat Pack in the middle as having the "most horsepower per dollar," with its 392-cubic-inch Hemi V8 pumping 485 hp and 475 lb-ft. In the amusement park business, this is what's called "Fun for everyone." The Scat Pack Widebody makes a break from its standard sibling with stiffer springs, larger sway bars, and shocks, and retuned dampers. Changes throughout the rest of the lineup save for the SXT center on new wheel and tire options, and an updated Performance Handling Group on the GT and R/T trims. The 2020 Charger order book opens in the fall, but America's family-friendly muscle car won't start hitting dealer lots until early 2020.
