For sale is my 2011 Dodge Caliber Express-trim vehicle. I purchased this vehicle as a travel vehicle while I was an independent consultant. I wanted something with plenty of room because I am very tall, and something reliable. This vehicle is absolutely FLAWLESS and free of mechanical and cosmetic defects. I have done nothing but baby this vehicle. I have complete and verifiable service records as well. I recently flushed the transmission, installed new brake pads, and a new air filter as well -All which can be verified. Still has new car smell! This vehicle IS a manual. However, this vehicle has a very forgiving transmission in case you are looking to learn a stick-shift. It shifts very smoothly. The vehicle gets about 32 highway mpg and 20-24 mpg in the city, depending on how you drive. It has an 11 gallon tank. * Manual Transmission * 2.0L 4-cylinder * One owner (ME) * 49k miles * Gas Saver (32/24 mpg) * Premium Wheels * Firestone sport tires * Clean title, accident free * Single Disc CD Player * Sirius Satellite Radio Capable * 110v AC outlet (US) I am selling this vehicle because I recently purchased another vehicle and have no need for this. I'm not looking to make any money necessarily. I simply want what this vehicle is worth. Please contact me if you have any questions. I will only accept cash or certified bank check. Only verifiable methods of payment will be accepted. NO TRADES. SERIOUS OFFERS ONLY SHIPPING: Shipping is to be coordinated by the purchaser. The purchaser must agree to consult with a shipping or escrow company of their choice for shipping. I am more than willing to cooperate with the shipping company in order to make sure the vehicle arrives safely to your door. Thanks for looking. |

Fri, Aug 10 2018On this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor Alex Kierstein and Green Editor John Snyder. They discuss driving the 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt and the (deep breath) 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody. They also recap this week's crazy Elon Musk news, and talk about the car brands they'd like to resurrect in the U.S. As always, they then help a listener pick a new car in the "Spend My Money" segment of the podcast.Autoblog Podcast #549 Get The Podcast iTunes – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast in iTunes RSS – Add the Autoblog Podcast feed to your RSS aggregator MP3 – Download the MP3 directly Rundown Cars we've been driving: 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt and 2019 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye Elon Musk might privatize Tesla Brands we want back Spend My Money Feedback Email – Podcast@Autoblog.com Review the show on iTunes Green Podcasts Dodge Ford Tesla Car Buying Used Car Buying Coupe Electric Performance bullitt dodge challenger srt hellcat redeye
Dodge performance could be electrified, new hybrid transmissions coming
Mon, Jul 8 2019Dodge is arguably the last company around specializing in old-school muscle cars. Outside of a few models like the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid and the new e-Torque offerings in the Ram 1500 and Jeep Wrangler, FCA as a whole seems behind the ball when it comes to green or electrified powertrains. That might change over the next few years, as Tim Kuniskis, head of passenger cars at FCA, told Automotive News that he sees the future of performance to be electrified. At the reveal of the Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody a few weeks back, Kuniskis said "the absolute future is electrification of these cars." What form this takes or how soon this all might happen is unclear, but changes are likely coming. Kuniskis said the electrified models could be anything from pure battery-electric vehicles to plug-in hybrids to e-axles. FCA’s e-torque system already works with the companyÂ’s Hemi V8 in the Ram 1500, so, if thereÂ’s room in the engine bay, we imagine it would be pretty easy to adapt the mild-hybrid system for other V8-powered vehicles. One thing to note is that FCA just inked a new deal with ZF. The latter will supply a new 8-speed automatic transmission for longitudinal front-engine cars that will work with both rear and all-wheel drive vehicles. FCA already uses a version of the ZF 8HP automatic, but the big thing to note is that the new transmission has a small electric drive unit built in. If this new transmission is as ubiquitous as the current one, you might find electrified versions of Alfa Romeo and Maserati products as well as those from Dodge, Jeep and Ram. This seems in line with what was announced in last yearÂ’s five-year plan.
Watch the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat verify its 204-mph top speed
Thu, Jan 29 2015The industry is producing some ridiculously fast four-doors these days, from the Porsche Panamera and Maserati Quattroporte to the Mercedes E63 AMG and BMW M5. But the fastest of them all doesn't cost six figures. It doesn't even come from Europe. It's made right here in North America, by a US automaker. And it starts at under $64k. We're talking about the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, the Pentastar muscle sedan with the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 and its 707 horsepower. Dodge claims it's the "quickest, fastest, most powerful [production] sedan ever," and they're not just blowing smoke... or smoking tires. During the final stages of development, engineers from Auburn Hills took a bone-stock, Hellcat-powered Charger out to a seven-mile oval for a top speed run and they filmed the occasion for posterity. The result? 206.9 miles per hour with the wind, 202.2 against it, for a two-way average top speed of 204.55 mph. Chew on that, imports.
