I have decided to go a different direction as a result, up for sale is a beautiful Red Viper with White Stripes (vinyl, so they can be removed). The previous owner owned the car since 2002.
The car runs excellent and early in 2013 it ran a 10.9 at 128 mph with a DA of 2500. This car is capable of a 10.5-10.6 sec ET on a cool day and at sea level. It has also done back-to-back 129 runs on a day with a 3000 DA. The Jeff Moray heads/cam is actually as streetable as a stock car. 1997 GTS - 26,000 Miles Red/White Stripes Royal Purple HPS used since 10,000 miles ENGINE Jeff Morey Stage III Heads and Cam - 10.5:1 Compression/Bee Hive Springs/Larger Valves Head Studs -ARP Kit Balanger Headers and Exhaust - Catless - Car also comes with the Orem Take-offs (headers, cats & exhaust) Accufab Throttle Bodies (new 2012) - Intake ported to throttle bodies Stage 8 Locking Header Bolts T&D Rockers -Matched/machined to Head Stands Trick Flow Chrome Moly Push Rods - Fuel Rail - 50 LB Injectors Injectors Balanced by Tony Armour Boost-A-Pump 180 Degree Thermostat Accusump (3 qt) - Ignition operated with shut-off switch 2000 Model Year 10 Qt Oil Pan - Hinged Trap door and Custom Windage Scrappers ACR Oil Filter Adapter Custom Cold Air Box Roe Red Silicone hoses with Bleeder Catch Can with PVC rerouted to can Roe Breather on Valve Cover Roe Cold Air Inlet at Chin Underdrive Pulley Burping Tee at Heater Box Custom Spark Plug Wire Looms Red Silicon Coolant Hoses Drive Train John Dinoto built transmission SVS Billet Shifter Billet Cross Member Spec Petal Type Clutch Spare Flywheel Spare Spec Clutch Uitrax Half Shafts Roe Clutch Pedal Travel Reducer Drive Shaft Loop Aluminum Belly Pan - OEM pan also comes with car Archer Anti-Toe Brackets- Only fits on one side due to 998 recall Half Shaft loops Line Lock Tuning SCT Pro Racer X2 Tuner - Multiple tunes go with car/X2 tuner allows full tuning Innovate A/F gauge and logger (DL32) -A/F Gauge is in OEM Voltmeter Position (Oem gauge comes w/car) The logger is set up for A/F, Throttle, RPM, Fuel Pressure and Vacuum Two Position Pillar Gauge Pod - Voltmeter and Fuel Pressure Raptor Shift Light CHASIS Race Alignment at 25,000 miles CCW Classic Wheels w/PS2 BTR Roll Bar - Red powder coat Woodhouse Adjustable Sway Bar Fire Suppression for Engine Bay Toe Eyes Front/Rear Power Steering Captive Cover/Breather Tom's Rear Brake Kit and Proportioning Valve Slotted front rotors/aluminum hats New Rear Rotors Track brake pads Differential Pinion Arms Poly Bushings INTERIOR Carbon Fiber Center Console Carbon Fiber Radio/AC Surround Dash Painted Black Satin (professionally) - Original dash was stripped, sanded, primed and painted 2008 SRT Race Seats by Verzano - OEM seats also go with car 5 Point Seat Belts - Drivers and Passenger Custom Sneaky Pete Floor Mats MGW Short Shifter/Grip MGW Radio/AC Knobs MGW Gas Cap/Door MGW Console Compartment w/Cup Holder MGW Ash Tray MGW Lighter MGW License Plate Holder Chrome Gauge Surrounds Black/Red Shift Boot and E-Brake Boot - By Redline Air Flight Aluminum Pedals Air Flight Sill Kick Plates Sony Radio & Explod Speaker System - OEM radio comes w/car Miscellaneous Painted Viper Logo Hood Pad Extra remote/key fob Chrome OEM GTS Emblems Side/Rear Full 998 Recall Done OEM Chrome Factory GTS Lettering Side/Back Optima Red Top New Drivers Door Spring - 2012 Rear Glass - New Gas Shocks 2010 |

2018 Dodge Durango SRT First Drive | Speed, and space for six
Wed, Jul 19 2017We're gathered along with other members of the media at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to drive a trio of new vehicles from Dodge's performance arm. Alongside a pair of SRT Challengers – the Demon and the Hellcat Widebody – the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT towers over the coupes, and is surprisingly menacing to behold. Its proportions may be relatively simple, but its hood scoop, air vents, and aero features let us know that this car is built for performance. A set of sporty wheels and bright Brembo brakes reiterate its purpose. A badge on the fender bearing the number "392," denoting the V8's displacement in cubic inches, gets us thinking about classic muscle. Even with the Demon sitting feet away, just looking at the Durango has us excited to drive it. Our first stint in the Durango SRT takes place on the infield road course at Indy. We had just gotten out of the Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody, driving the same circuit, and we expected the Durango to seem tame by comparison. We were mistaken, mostly. The Durango SRT's seating position feels very upright, particularly due to a helmet that kept us from settling into the headrest. Still, we make ourselves comfortable, able to adjust the steering wheel right where we want it. Everything is in Track Mode – transmission, AWD, suspension, and steering – except for stability control, which is still set to Street. Taking off from behind Indy's famous bricks, throttle tip-in is quick, and the Durango SRT springs to life. The Durango feels fast under wide-open throttle in a straight line, which is impressive consider we had just gotten out of a louder, faster coupe. Dodge claims a 0-60 time of just 4.4 seconds, and it's that kind of acceleration that makes us agree with Dodge's boastful claim that the Durango SRT is a "three-row Charger." Then we take the first corner. The steering feels progressive, if not super tight, but the size and weight of the Durango quickly make themselves known. Body roll reminds us that this is, in fact, a tall utility vehicle, and definitely not a Charger. We lean to the side as the tires dig in, pulling the Durango around its axis and toward the apex of the corner despite the lateral momentum they are fighting. We're hesitant, but the instructor in the passenger seat coaches us to keep on the throttle despite what our inner ear is telling us. The Durango manages to stay stuck to our line as we push harder through the corners than we had thought possible.
Mopar '15 performance kit now available for Dodge Charger R/T
Tue, Jun 9 2015Dodge is releasing a new Mopar performance kit for the 2015 Charger R/T sedan, offering up just 50 examples of the dealer-installed upgrade package. Only a select few dealers will sell the kit, and they'll do so at a price of $3,550. As per usual, the Mopar kit makes both performance and aesthetic changes. For the 5.7-liter Hemi V8, upgrades include the Stage 1 Scat Pack kit, which adds a cat-back exhaust and cold-air intake, good for 18 additional horsepower and 18 more pound-feet of torque. There's also a new strut tower brace and a "premium fuel powertrain control module." Aesthetic changes are remarkably simple, with matte black body-side decals being the only notable addition to the exterior. In the cabin, there's a serialized dash plaque and new door sill plates. This is the sixth Mopar special edition since 2009. If you wish to join this fairly exclusive fraternity of Dodge owners, dealers are currently accepting orders, with deliveries slated to start later this month. Scroll down for the official press release from Dodge. The Dodge Demon is leaked in Fast 8 video with Vin Diesel
Thu, Jan 19 2017It's only week two of the twelve-part Dodge Demon teaser roll out, and it already appears the metaphorical Hellcat is out of the bag. A YouTube video featuring Vin Diesel discussing The Fate of the Furious ( Fast 8) has what are almost certainly two Dodge Challenger Demons parked right in the background. So much for three months worth of build up and mystique. The two cars in the video appear to have the new logo affixed to the fender, right where the current Hellcat logo resides. In addition, the wheels and the massive hood scoop both appear to be the same relative shape as the ones briefly flashed in the latest teaser video. While we can't be 100 percent certain this is really a Demon, all the evidence points to yes. Even if this spoiled Dodge's plans, actually seeing the car here makes us even more excited for the full reveal. We still don't know all the final specs, save that it'll be 200 lbs lighter, so there is still some mystery to be had. The Challenger and Charger Hellcat twins, some of the most brazen and brutish machines currently on the road, were already cranked up to 11. The Demon, with its wide fender flares and comically large hood scoop looks makes the standard car look tame by comparison. We can't wait.
