1992 Dodge Stealth R/t Turbo Hatchback 2-door 3.0l Like Vr4 on 2040-cars
Lincolnton, North Carolina, United States
Up for sale I have a 92 dodge stealth R/T turbo. If you haven't already noticed the mileage, please don't let that turn you away. The shell itself and the interior have the original almost 200xxx miles but the drive train has been completely redone. The performance factory, in concord nc, completely rebuilt the engine with all forged internals from 3sx. I have the paperwork for the rebuild and the parts also. The transmission and transfer case have been gone through and inspected for any issues that may have been in the near future. New driveshaft carrier bearings just installed this past week personally by me. I work for Abernethey Chrysler in Lincolnton nc as a technician so no worries as to it not being done right in the back yard. This car has been extremely well maintained since I've owned it, and its only had about 9k miles put on it since its been rebuilt. Power everything works just like its suppose to, cruise control, driver power seat and power lumbar, pop up headlights have no issues, power steering and all wheel steering works like it should. The car is my daily driver back and forth to work so mileage will go up slightly (about 20-25 miles a day). other than the exhaust, BOV, and intake the car was completely done back to stock specs...just with forged internals. So if your planning a future super car build with well over 500hp or so? This would have to be the perfect platform to start with. It currently sits at 300hp at the wheels. Well Ill start with a list of the goodies: 3sx forged short block (3sx pistons, rods, and crank) 3sx solid engine and trans mounts. 3sx solid aluminum crank pulley (stock size) Turbosmart Hybrid BOV (really loud) New MHI stock turbos done at the time of the rebuild 3sx adjustable rear control arms CX racing coilovers 3" full stainless exhaust XXR 530 wheels (17x9.75" +25 offset.) Drilled and Slotted brake rotors 3sx single din + 3gauge pod. AEM wideband Sunpro Boost and oil pressure gauges (oil pressure not hooked up yet) JVC Bluetooth radio Full LED interior lights and tag lights 6000k Xenon headlights 3000k yellow fog lights Stickers on the back window include AEM, Keep calm and hang the fu*k on, and Carolina scat pack(car club I'm in) all the stickers can be removed upon buyers request, or left on, whichever. Front and rear brake calipers have been painted gloss black with Dupli color gloss black caliper paint and front calipers have Mopar sickers (they come off easy if you don't like them) Its had the oil changed every 2500-3000 miles using Mobil 1 20w-40 full syn every time. The car gets hand washed at least once a week sometimes twice. It still turns heads everywhere I go and surprises a lot of v8 guys hahah. Now for the not so greats: The paint is 21 years old, it has a few scratches on the front and rear bumper. a few light scratches on the passenger door by the door handle. And a few small dents (tried to get them in the pictures). The drivers seat is worn from the 21 years and 200xxx miles. At the moment the A/C display unit does not work, it still functions, blows hot and cold and everywhere in between, its just very irritating not having the display, but I hope to have a working one in by the time its sold. If you have any questions at all please feel free to contact me via email or call/text 704-530-three six eight five. Just ask for Anthony. Thanks for looking |

Lackluster Dodge Dart sales trigger layoffs
Thu, 06 Mar 2014Hidden amidst the overall very positive sales figures that Chrysler released earlier this week were a few disappointments, the biggest of which may be the Dodge Dart. While Dodge sales in general were down 11 percent from a year ago, the Dart's poor figures stood out from the rest - with 4,888 units sold, the Dart was down 37 percent in February.
It comes as little surprise, then, that the automaker has announced layoffs at its assembly plant in Belvidere, IL. According to The Daily Herald, Dodge will temporarily lay off 325 workers "to balance vehicle supply with current sales demand." Put more simply, there are more Darts than buyers at the moment...
We don't think the Dodge Dart is a bad car, but it's playing in a market that offers a few standout sellers, like the Chevy Cruze, Ford Focus, Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. According to AutoPacific analyst Dave Sullivan, as quoted by The Daily Herald, "great incentives on the Dodge Avenger" are also partly to blame for the Dart's poor showing.
Why the Charger Hellcat can't be ordered with a manual transmission
Sun, 16 Nov 2014Fans of truly irreverent amounts of horsepower will find lots to love in the form of the 2015 Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcat models. Both of them send 707 ridiculous horsepower to the rear wheels; the only question is whether you want your absurdity delivered with two or four doors. Oh, and whether or not you want the option of a manual transmission.
If you prefer rowing your own gears, the choice is made for you; there is no manual gearbox option available on the Charger Hellcat, or any Charger model at all, for that matter. Wonder why? Well, besides the fact that almost nobody - sorry, clutch fans, but it's true - would choose to buy a Charger with a manual transmission, that is? The answer, according to an industry insider in a post written on Jalopnik's Opposite Lock forum, is the floorpan.
It's probably not a surprise to most of our readers that the Dodge Challenger and Charger share a large portion of their chassis structure, which is codenamed LX at Chrysler, but there are still some significant differences under the skin due to the shorter wheelbase and two-door coupe bodyshell of the Challenger, as opposed to the sedan shape of the Charger. One of the differences is the floorpan, the huge chunk of sheetmetal that makes up the floor of the car and props up such essential items as the car's seats.
Dodge Challenger Scat Pack adds power and noise, with a warranty
Thu, 17 Apr 2014If you want to go fast, there's certainly nothing wrong with the Dodge Challenger SRT8. With 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque for 2014, there's certainly not much to complain about. But what if you want something more aftermarket in flavor? There's no shortage of options, but while turning to the tuner world will make your car plenty fast, that extra power won't just shred rear tires, it'll torch your warranty, as well. That's where Dodge's Scat Pack comes in.
With three stages of mods for both the 5.7 and 6.4-liter Hemi V8s Challenger (as well as the 5.7-liter Charger and, soon, the four-pot Dart), the Scat Pack cars give drivers all the power, aggression and noise of a heavily modded aftermarket car while maintaining the piece of mind provided by the Dodge warranty.
Power gets bumped up to 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque with the 6.4-liter Scat Pack, while the 5.7-liter can provide up to 58 hp and 47 lb-ft of torque to add to the stock engine's 375 horsepower and 410 pound-feet. It's the latter engine that can really get some work done, with upgrades ranging from the mundane - intake and exhaust - to the racy, like the ported heads and high-flow headers.
