Here is a super clean, two owner 1992 Dodge Ram 350 pickup truck, with 193k original miles, mostly highway miles driving between Oregon&Idaho hauling show horses!! This Dodge is equipped with the Bulletproof 6 cylinder, 5.9L, 12 Valve Cummins Intercooled motor, an automatic transmission and four wheel drive!!

The body of this truck is very straight, no dents and no dings. The paint shines and looks beautiful! No Rust at all, Idaho&Oregon truck since day one!! There are some very, very minor and superficial scratches, blemishes and rock chips in the paint/clear coat, expected for the age of the vehicle. Back in '93 the truck was rear ended at a traffic light, the rear bumper as well as the tailgate were damaged, It was a very minor accident. The owner had a new rear bumper installed and decided to buy an after market tailgate, shown in the pictures. We do not have the original tailgate. As with most of these trucks, the original paint started to flake/peel off and the second owner had the entire truck re-painted a few years back. This was a professional job at a professional shop and cost just under $5k! This Dodge has been well taken care of by both owners!! There is one crack in the grille, please see pictures.

The interior is in good shapeThere are no cracks in the dashboard, please see pictures. The headliner as well as the sun visors are in excellent condition, however the plastic trim around the headliner has a few cracks, common issue. The drivers and passenger seats are in good shape, drivers seat has one small hole, please see pictures. The carpet is in good shape as well, no rips, a few wear marks and only a few small stains, please see pictures. All of the power locks and windows work great! All of the guages work perfect as well including the manifold pressure/temperature, transmission temperature, vacuum and air bag pressure wich can be controlled up or down from inside the cab with a comput-a-ride switch, please see pictures! This Cummins is equipped with Air Ride suspension (these are not just airbags) installed at the rear of the truck, specifically set up for a very smooth ride hauling horses, please see pictures!! This truck is also equipped with a Tekonsha Sentinel brake controller and a very nice Pioneer Super Tuner CD player/stereo, please see pictures. The truck was smoked in for the first few years of it's life and has a few burn holes, mainly in the carpet and one on the passenger side cup holder, please see pictures. The truck does not smell like smoke!! The windshield is in great shape, no chips and no cracksThe AC and cruise control work great!! Also, the truck will come with after market rubber floor mats, we pulled them out so that everyone can see the condition of the carpet!

The motor starts instantly and purrs!! The automatic transmission shifts very smooth, just serviced with fresh fluid&filter!! Also, the transmission was completely rebuilt less than 40k miles ago, upgarded with many parts including a heavy duty low stall torque converter& stage two shift kit as well as a B&M deep aluminum oil pan!! The truck also has an aftermarket B&M exhaust manifold for better performance and fuel milage, an exhaust brake which works great and a Banks muffler&tail pipe! This Cummins has been well maintained, never missed an oil change and always serviced on time!! The motor was just serviced, a fresh engine oil&filter service, a fresh fuel filter installed, the K&N air filter cleaned/serviced, a brand new serpentine belt installed, the vacuum pump has been re sealed including flat sanding the rear housing and a new vacuum pump shaft seal has been installed!! Also, the fuel injection pump was completely rebuilt&re sealed a few years back!! All 6 tires are almost new, Cooper Discoverer ATR M+S, size LT 225/75R16 mounted on alloy wheels!!

Please keep in mind that this is an older vehicle and is not in new condition!! Please expect normal wear and tear for a vehicle of this age and miles, this is not a brand new vehicle and it is not perfect!! If you are looking for a Super sharp&clean, Dodge Cummins 12 Valve Dually 4x4, than this is the truck for you!!

Dodge pumps power to the people with $10 discount per horsepower

Thu, Aug 1 2019

Dodge announced an incentive program named Power Dollars, which represents the next step in its mission to bring horsepower to the people. Starting on August 1, the automaker is luring enthusiasts into its showrooms by offering a $10 per horsepower discount on select models. The Power Dollars program applies to the 2019 Challenger (pictured), the 2019 Charger and the 2019 Durango. It's as simple as it sounds: if you buy a 500-horsepower car, you benefit from a $5,000 discount. The more horsepower you choose to put in your garage, the more money you save when you sign the dotted line. The 797-horsepower Challenger Hellcat Redeye comes with a $7,970 discount. At the other end of the spectrum, the Charger SXT powered by a 3.6-liter V6 rated at 292 horsepower is eligible for a $2,920 rebate.  The Grand Caravan has 283 horsepower, so it's not far from the Charger SXT, but it's not included in the program. The Journey with the same 3.6-liter V6 engine isn't in it, either. Dodge launched the Power Dollars program to boost sales, and likely to clear the remaining 2019 models out of its inventory before the 2020s arrive. But the company has another reason to make its muscle cars cheaper, one we don't think we've heard from an automaker yet. "Since bringing the Charger and the Challenger back to the market, Dodge has put 485 million horsepower into the hands of our loyal enthusiasts. The goal is to grow to a half-billion horsepower before the end of the year," explained Tim Kuniskis, the global head of Alfa Romeo, and FCA's head of passenger cars in North America, in a statement. It's 15 million horsepower short of the milestone. It needs to sell about 18,820 examples of the Hellcat Redeye to reach its goal, or approximately 51,370 units of the Charger SXT.

FCA's U.S. sales chief sues company for wrongful retaliation

Thu, Jun 6 2019

Some fresh controversy is brewing at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles as The Detroit News reports that the head of U.S. sales has filed a federal whistleblower lawsuit against the company.. Reid Bigland, who's also in charge of the Ram truck brand, alleges that FCA made him a scapegoat for wrongful sales inflation practices and fixing vehicle sales statistics, which are currently under investigation by federal agents. Bigland claims that FCA executives punished him for cooperating with the federal investigators in the case by cutting his pay by more than 90 percent, according to the lawsuit he filed. The plan apparently was to use the money saved to pay for fines following any settlements made with the Securities and Exchange Commission. So far, the lawsuit alleges that FCA cost Bigland over $1.8 million in income. "They had the largest growth in retail sales in 17 years last year and refuses to pay him," Deborah Gordon, Bigland's lawyer in the case, said to The Detroit News. "Why is that? Because he participated in the SEC investigation and they don't like what he said." Bigland claims he just cooperated with the SEC investigation by testifying about FCA's sales reporting, from the time he took the position to the period prior to being appointed the company's U.S. sales chief. "In late 2018, presumably as a way to wrap up their investigation with some result, the SEC suggested to plaintiff that he admit to some wrongdoing as to defendants' monthly sales reporting," Gordon further said in a statement as part of the lawsuit. "The SEC also suggested a resolution involving some penalty to FCA. Because (Bigland) had not engaged in any wrongdoing, and there was no wrongdoing, he declined to do so." However, exacerbating the issue is the fact that Bigland reportedly sold his shares in the company last year, prompting FCA to act against him even more. FCA came under fire recently by federal agents in at least two separate investigations, potentially exposing conspiracy and corruption between company executives and private entities. The investigations are being led independently by the U.S. Attorney's Office and the FBI. So far, eight convictions were reportedly secured, with one including former Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Vice President Alphons Iacobelli, as one of the defendants. Iacobelli was one of the former top labor-relations executives for the automaker.

Junkyard Gem: 1964 Dodge Dart station wagon

Fri, Nov 30 2018

The Chrysler A Platform, built from the 1960 through 1976 model years for the North American market (and for a few years beyond that in Australia and Latin America), was one of Chrysler's greatest hits, if not the greatest hit. We know these cars best as the 1963-1976 Dodge Dart and the 1960-1976 Plymouth Valiant, and they established a reputation for reliability matched only by the likes of the Mercedes-Benz W123 diesel. I still see many of these cars during my junkyard wanderings, but A-Body wagons have become very rare. Here's a tattered '64 Dart wagon that I spotted in a self-service wrecking yard in San Jose, California. 1964 was the first model year for factory-installed V8 engines in the Dart and Valiant (and the Valiant's sporty sibling, the Barracuda), and the 273-cubic-inch pushrod V8 was a sturdy powerplant indeed. The slant-6 engine, though less powerful, went into most of these cars, and for good reason: It was harder to kill than all the world's cockroaches and rats put together. This car would have come with a 170- or 225-cubic-inch version of the slant-6, optimistically rated at either 101 or 145 gross horsepower (probably about 55 horses at the wheels), but I didn't feel like scraping sludge off casting numbers to see if it's on its first or 11th engine. In any case, slant-6 Darts were on the pokey side but would get you to your destination every time. This one has a lot of rust for a California car (in New Hampshire or Wisconsin, it would be considered pretty solid) and the interior is more or less obliterated, so even dedicated station-wagon lovers wouldn't have been motivated to take it on as a restoration project. So another early Dart is poised to be stuffed into The Crusher, for reasons that make good economic sense. This still makes us sad, though. This content is hosted by a third party.
