2001 Dodge 3500 Cummins Diesel Extended Cab 4 Door 4x4 4wd 6 Speed Manual Nice! on 2040-cars
Athens, Tennessee, United States
You are looking at our company truck that we used for some hauling last year. We upgraded to a newer model Dodge and so we just dont need this one anymore. It runs perfectly and actually our new truck has given us more problems than this one ever did! We believe that it will run for an incredibly long time yet. The engine is strong and purrs perfectly, but it is stock. It has a straight pipe on it, but other than that it is totally stock. It sounds awesome by the way... It was a local purchase for us a couple years ago and a friend knows the history of the truck. He told us that it had a brand new engine put in it a few years ago! This is unconfirmed as didnt check into that deeper, but there would be no reason for him to be telling an untrue story. But it is not confirmed by receipts either. Although it seriously runs like it is a new engine! Take all that for what it is... Its a 6 speed and the clutch is strong. The body is in good shape except for two small rust spots on the hood where the paint has started to come of slightly. It is hardly noticeable, and an easy fix. Its in nice shape overall! Has power windows and door locks, although the passenger side window only works from the passenger side. You cant roll it up or down from the driver side, but you can from the passenger side fine...Its probably an unhooked wire in the door of the driver side etc. The AC works, but is quite weak. It will need to be charged I would guess. The 4X4 worked awesome up until one of the last job sites we were at. It stopped working then and so we got it checked out and it looks to be the actuator. If you are at all familiar with these trucks you will know that that is a fairly minor and common issue that happens with the 4X4. We will fix it before the truck is purchased, or take 500$ off the price so that you can fix it yourself or get it fixed. (it is typically a 300-400$ job) The dashes on these trucks are always cracking and breaking (super common issue with the Dodges) so we replaced the dash last year. It looks great! It has over a 1,000$ of new beast tires! Has 3 point goose neck hitch also. The title is rebuilt...The reason is because (before we bought it) it was stolen. It was soon found and reclaimed in undamaged condition, but still, the title had the theft reported on it and therefore it makes the title rebuilt. It was not based off damage or anything, just the theft. We have the records and paperwork to show the history of the title etc... Overall its a great ride and hope that someone can use it for a very long time! Call us at 423-745-3200 or text 423-381-1227 to find out more or ask any questions you may have. |

2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody First Drive Review | Son of a beast
Wed, Aug 8 2018PORTLAND, Maine — They told us the Hellcat Redeye Widebody is a "Hellcat that's been possessed by a Demon." But what I'm telling myself is, Save it for the track. I hadn't even put the pedal all the way to the floor, and the world around me had warped in my peripheral vision. I peeled my skull from the headrest and contemplated the supercharger under the double-snorkel hood in front of me force-feeding air to the's 6.2-liter Hemi V8, producing a hair under 800 horsepower. With my stomach returning to its usual place, I tried to summon the patience not to roast the tires again. Relax, enjoy the drive, explore the car, and save the rest for the track. I tried to restrain myself from adding to the many strips of rubber already smeared across the hilly, meandering roads between Portland, Maine and Club Motorsports across the state line in New Hampshire. But then there's always another stop sign, and something possesses me to misbehave again as I pull away. The 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye includes a number of borrowed features that helped the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon slap me in the back of the helmet back at Lucas Oil Raceway. It has the same displacement Hemi with a 2.7-liter supercharger providing 14.5 PSI of boost. That pressure is thanks in part to the "Power Chiller," which diverts the A/C refrigerant to cool the air intake. It offers the torque reserve system for explosive launches, as well as the strengthened driveshaft to handle it all. It won't do a wheelie, but it'll scream in your face as it hurls you straight to jail. Compared to the standard Hellcat, it gets a higher top speed of 203 miles per hour, and quarter mile times reduced by a precious tenth of a second (11.1 seconds at 131 mph for the standard Redeye, and 10.8 seconds at 131 mph for the Redeye Widebody). That said, Dodge has ensured that Demon reigns supreme in the Challenger hierarchy. For one thing, the Demon has 840 horsepower and 770 pound-feet of torque, compared to the Redeye's 797 horsepower and 707 pound-feet. The Demon's suspension is specifically tuned for the weight transfer characteristics of drag racing, and can lift its front wheels off the ground if you nail the launch with the narrow tires on it. Also, while the Redeye does have line lock to let the rear wheels spin while braking the front calipers, it doesn't get the Demon's transbrake to keep the car locked into position as throttle is applied for launch.
Saleen SA-30 Mustang, Camaro and Challenger help celebrate the big 3-0
Fri, 22 Nov 2013After 30 years of tuning performance cars and building racecars, Saleen is celebrating its racing heritage with a limited-production car line called SA-30. Based on the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger, Saleen will only build 10 of each SA-30 model at a base price of $95,000.
For that money, buyers will get upgraded suspension, brakes and engines, and while the power figures have not been released for the SA-30 620 Camaro and SA-30570 Challenger models, the SA-30 302 Mustang will be the top performer with 625 horsepower. Each car will be painted up in a custom pearl white hue with black and yellow accents, and get white wheels shrouding yellow powder-coated brake calipers. Inside, the SA-30 offerings will all get a proper Saleen interior with black leather and white Alcantara on the seats, along with the expected smattering of SA-30 badges.
On all three SA-30 models, customers will have various options available to further customize their cars, including a rear-seat delete option that transforms each car's cabin into a race-inspired interior with a chassis-strengthening rear cross brace. Perhaps the coolest feature of all, though, is the Saleen Frost-Touch Glass that is an option on the SA-30 302 Mustang. Similar to the Mercedes Sky Control roof first introduced on the Mercedes SLK, the Saleen Frost-Touch Glass allows the Mustang's optional glass roof and rear window to be switched from transparent to opaque at the push of a button.
Will airbags sandbag the 2017 Dodge Viper?
Thu, Jan 14 2016The Dodge Viper is speeding down the road to cancellation for the 2017 model year, and at least part of the reason for the V10 monster's death is a problem fitting it with federally mandated side curtain airbags. An anonymous source close to FCA US told Motor Trend the automaker can't install the parts because they would further limit the coupe's already tight headroom. The government believes the side curtain airbags can reduce occupant ejections during accidents, and all vehicles must have them for the 2017 model year. The Viper's slow sales also don't provide FCA US much motivation to work out a solution to this problem. The automaker moved just 676 of the handmade sports coupes in the US in 2015, which was down 11 percent from 760 deliveries in 2014. FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne hinted at the Detroit Auto Show that the Viper could return eventually. He doesn't like that the current model has a dedicated platform but indicated a new one could share the underpinnings with another of the company's products. Marchionne's current business plan for FCA stresses building the automaker's value, so it might be a while before we see the sweater-clad CEO focusing on a niche vehicle like the Viper. Related Video:
