This is "The" original Dodge Cummins pickup. It is the very first year, and a very rare single rear wheel D350 (1 Ton) 2WD pickup. I have yet to see another D350 like it on the road. This truck is bone stock and original in nearly all areas. It even has the original Chrysler premium sound system option with cassette player along with the original owner manuals. The truck was repainted about 8 years ago in urethane, and looks very good as you can see. There are many blemishes on this truck as it has been well used over the years. I have had it for most of it's life, and I love this old girl. The original 12 Valve non intercooled diesel is in it, and all that has been done is the water pump, and the injector pump has been stepped up a bit. This thing has some serious power. The manual 5 speed shifts excellent, and the clutch was replaced around 180,000 miles. It has a Dana 70 rear end with 354 gears. I recently changed the carrier bearings. The suspension is pretty much original except for shocks, and brakes. The front rotors have always chattered under heavy braking, and I could never figure out how to get rid of it. The AC works good, and it is the original R12 system never had issues other than adding some every few years. The tires are like new all around and very good quality heavy truck tires. I towed a camper trailer with a 5th wheel hitch. It is fully functional with the plug and trailer brake control. The hitch is the old style non rocker as you can see, but it tows like a dream and gets 15 MPG with the camper on it. This truck gets phenominal mileage. I have a 2005 cummins with a 24V motor, and it eats way more diesel than this old girl. She has clear title, and has had no accidents. There is a heavy Draw tite bumper hitch receiver as well with the 4 prong trailer plug. This is a longbed pickup with a bed liner. The 5th wheel hitch is bolted down through cut outs in the liner. There is no rust anywhere I have seen in this truck. It is a California/Oregon truck as far as I know. It has a slider rear window that works, but the lock is broken. The seat has a hole where the driver sits. The rear main seal drips a little oil on the garage floor. I have always garaged this truck, although the rubber seals for the driver and passenger windows are cracked and dried out. All the glass is good with no cracks. The front bumper has a crease in it where I hooked a stump in revers and pulled it back slightly. It still look fine, but a new bumper would look pretty. The grille is excellent in all respects except for a could little dings and scrapes in the metal stripping. There is a silver dollar size dent near the passenger side read wheel well that is barely visible. There are some scratches I noted in the photos the best I could, but they could easily be touched up. All the hardware works for the doors and windows. Everything is manual crank old school which I always liked. The driver door hinge is pretty tired, but still closes well after all these miles. The tailgate is absolutely beautiful. The outside latch has been partially disable so I reach in the bed to drop the tailgate. The rear bumper is very nice chromed diamond plate factory. The drive shaft with carrier was freshened up with all OEM parts at 200K miles. The truck drives very well overall. I has a little vibration at highway speed, but mostly due to the big original steel wheels. The engine starts right up every time.I put a factory new OEM starter in it a year ago. When it is cold it puffs a little blue for a minute then it is all black from there. Remember it has alot of miles, but there is another 300K in this truck. You will never kill this engine. It is impossible. Ask questions if I missed anything.

Jay Leno drives the Demon-powered SpeedKore carbon fiber Dodge Charger
Wed, Mar 13 2019Jay Leno drives all sorts of wild vehicles on his TV and YouTube series "Jay Leno's Garage," from concept cars to classics. Although many of the vehicles are museum quality, they don't all come through in straight by-the-book factory form, as Leno often likes to highlight the creative and insane builds from premium speciality aftermarket shops. One of his favorites is SpeedKore, which recently dropped by with its carbon-fiber-bodied 1970 Dodge Charger Evolution. After cementing itself as one of the best builds of the year at SEMA 2018, the high-performance Charger paid Leno a visit to show off its immaculately assembled blend of classic and modern Dodge. It's not the first time SpeedKore has stopped by, as they've previously shot videos together of the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro, the 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R, and the 1970 Dodge Charger Tantrum. The Charger featured here wears its Evolution name because it is an updated take on the Tantrum build (which had 1,650 horsepower, by the way), but the two are quite different. The Charger Evolution uses numerous parts from Dodge's recent superstars, the Challenger SRT Hellcat and the Challenger SRT Demon. In fact, it's one of the only ways in the world to drive a Demon engine with a manual transmission. Under the hood is the 6.2L Supercharged Hemi V8 from a Demon pre-production car, and SpeedKore has tuned it up to 966 horsepower. It pairs with a Tremec M6 6060 six-speed transmission from the Hellcat. At full bore, the whine of the supercharger paired with the grumble from the custom stainless steel SpeedKore exhaust headers makes for a thrilling, if not unharmonized, battle cry. Whereas some restomods have cut corners, shoddy build quality, or imperfect fittings, Leno notes that SpeedKore's work is top-notch, despite the entire exterior body and many pieces of the interior being fully replaced with glossy clear-coated exposed carbon fiber. According to SpeedKore Vice President Dave Salvaggio, the Charger weighs about 3,400 pounds. Check out the full video above or read full details from our time with the car at SEMA. And as a bonus, Autoblog photographer Drew Phillips recently got to spend a day shooting the Charger. His gallery of photos appears below. Speedkore 1970 Dodge Charger View 53 Photos
Chrysler's Woodward Dream Cruise festivities include Ram concept truck debut
Tue, 13 Aug 2013The streets will be crowded next weekend along Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak, Michigan for the 19th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise. As part of the run-up to the festivities, Chrysler has announced that all of its brands - Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Fiat, SRT and Mopar - will bring along their latest vehicles. Also included will be a collection of classic American cars and various activities for attendees at the official Chrysler location on the corner of Woodward and 13 Mile Road.
Special to this year, Ram brand director Bob Hegbloom and head of design John Dehner will unveil a Ram concept truck on Saturday. Chrysler will also bring Ryan Friedlinghaus of West Coast Customs fame along to show off a few custom Chrysler-made vehicles of his own. Fans of the brand on Facebook will get the chance to virtually customize a vehicle from the automaker's portfolio, with the winner getting their dream car built for them by Chrysler. Pretty cool stuff, no?
As in past years, Ford and General Motors will have an official presence at the event as well, and you can expect to see plenty of cars of all makes and models from all parts of the globe. The madness starts this Friday, August 16, from 4:30 PM to 10 PM, with the main event taking place on Saturday, from 9 AM to 9 PM. For more details on the show, including events and their times, check out the press release below.
Get a peek at the Dodge Demon in the new Fate of the Furious trailer
Thu, Mar 2 2017Will all of the news that comes out, Thursdays should now be referred to as Demon Days (no relation to the 2005 album by Gorillaz), at least until April. In addition to this morning's news on the Dodge Demon's Launch Assist and beefed-up components, the automaker released a trailer/commercial for The Fate of the Furious that shows a Dodge barrage and a few quick looks at the new car. The film, which opens days after the Demon's debut at the 2017 New York International Auto Show, is packed full of Dodge, SRT, and FCA products. While the few cars shown in the garage look superficially like Demons, they appear to just be standard Hellcats – the hood is wrong, and they are missing the fender flares. On the other hand, the ones in the trailer's chase scene appear to be the real deal, or at least made to look like it, with the big AirGrabber hood scoop and wide-body fender flares. We've seen a few of these cars already on the film's set, so this is no real surprise. The ad itself is a bit strange. The shots of the woman standing in front of the SRT lineup appear to be cut into footage from the film, so she's not actually talking to the cast in these scenes. That's why a narrow-body car bursts through the wall and becomes a wide-body Demon-like thing. Well, the Fast and Furious franchise was built on bad dialog and over the top car stunts, so par for the course? The film debuts on April 14, and expect the Demon around that time, too.
