THIS IS A 2001 DODGE RAM 2500 QUAD CAB 4X4. IT HAS THE 5.9L CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL ENGINE WITH A AUTOMATIC 47RE TRANSMISSION. TRUCKS STARTS RIGHT UP AND RIDES AND DRIVES AS IT SHOULD. THE FRONT END AND TRANSMISSION WAS COMPLETELY GONE THROUGH BY THE PREVIOUS OWNERS AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS YEAR. IT HAS BEEN WELL TAKEN CARE OF AND ALL REGULAR MAINTENANCE HAS BEEN DONE ON TIME. 4X4 HIGH/ LOW WORK PERFECTLY AS IT SHOULD. TRANSMISSION SHIFTS OUT THROUGH ALL THE GEARS SMOOTHLY. ENGINE STATS RIGHT UP EVERY TIME AND RUNS SMOOTHLY WITH NO LEAKS OF ANY SORT. WHEELS AND TIRES ARE IN GREAT SHAPE AND ARE ONLY A COUPLE OF MONTHS OLD. FRONT AND REAR ROTORS AND PADS HAVE BEEN REPLACED, BOTH FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS, ALONG WITH SWAY BAR LINK BUSHING FRONT AND REAR.

IT HAS A STEERING BRACE ON THE FRONT TO ELIMINATE THE INFAMOUS DODGE DEATH WOBBLE THESE ARE NONE FOR. IT DRIVES STRAIGHT DOWN THE ROAD LIKE IT SHOULD. IT HAS A K & N COLD AIR INTAKE, EDGE JUICE WITH ATTITUDE PROGRAMMER, FASS FUEL SYSTEM, BALL IN THE BED FOR GOOSE NECK TRAILERS, LED INTERIOR DOME LIGHTING, GRILLE, BRAND NEW 2' FRONT LEVELING KIT WITH FRONT SHOCKS(NOT INSTALLED YET,) BLACK 1 PIECE HEADLIGHTS, AND A 4'' FLO PRO EXHAUST WITH A 5'' TIP. \

THE INTERIOR OVERALL IS IN GREAT SHAPE. THERE ARE NO RIPS IN ANY OF THE SEATS, AC BLOWS ICE COLD AND HEATER WORKS GREAT. HEADLINER IS NOT FALLING DOWN ANY WHERE. THE DASH DOES HAVE A COUPLE OF CRACKS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ABOVE THE AIRBAG LIKE ALL THE OLDER DODGES DO. LED INTERIOR DOME LIGHTING.

THE PASSENGER WINDOW MOTOR/ REGULATOR WILL RANDOMLY LOCK UP FOR A MINUTE OR TWO AND BEGIN TOP WORK AGAIN. THE SHOP SAID THAT IT NEEDS A NEW MOTOR/ REGULATOR IN ORDER TO FIX IT. I HAVE PURCHASED A BRAND NEW UNIT BUT HAVE NOT INSTALLED IT YET. THE SENDING UNIT REEDS A FULL TANK UNTIL IT GETS DOWN TO A QUARTER TANK. I HAVE A BRAND NEW SENDING UNIT THAT WILL GO WITH THE TRUCK ALSO. THE DRIVERS SIDE DOES HAVE SOME DAMAGE TO THE BOTTOM PART OF THE FRONT FENDER, BOTTOM OF THE TWO DOORS AND CAB CORNER(SEE PICTURES) THE DAMAGE IS NOT VERY BAD AND WAS THERE WHEN I BOUGHT THE TRUCK. SENSE BUYING THE TRUCK I HAVE BOUGHT BOTH DOORS AND THE FRONT FENDER THAT ARE ALL PAINTED THE SAME WHITE IN GREAT SHAPE THAT WILL GO WITH THE TRUCK.

I BOUGHT THE TRUCK IN THE SAME CONDITION/ SHAPE IT IS IN NOW. THE ONLY THINGS I HAVE DONE TO IT IS REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND ADDED THE WHEELS AND TIRES TO THE TRUCK. AS FAR AS THE LITTLE BIT OF DAMAGE TO THE DRIVERS SIDE THE PREVIOUS OWNER SCRAPED IT ACROSS A POLE IN A DRIVE THREW. IT WAS NO INVOLVED IN ANY SORT OF WRECK. I HAD PLANNED ON HAVING BEDLINER SPRAYED DOWN THE SIDE OF THE TRUCK ON THE ROCKER PANELS BUT HAVE NOT HAD THE TIME HAVE IT DONE YET.

THE TRUCK IS NOT IN PERFECT CONDITION BUT OVER ALL IT IS A GREAT TRUCK. I AM CLOSING ON MY NEW HOME IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS AND WILL NOT HAVE A PLACE TO STORE IT. THE TRUCK IS COMPLETELY PAID OF AND I HAVE A CLEAR OKLAHOMA TITLE IN MY NAME READY TO SIGN OVER TO WINNER OF THE AUCTION. IT DOES NOT HAVE ANY LEAKS AT ALL AND NO KNOWN PROBLEMS OTHER THEN THE COUPLE LISTED ABOVE. IT PULLS THE BOAT TO THE LAKE GREAT AND HAS NEVER LEFT ME STRANDED OR GOTTEN HOT. IT IS STORED IN A GARAGE EVERY NIGHT SENSE I HAVE HAD IT.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL OR TEXT ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU MAY HAVE REGARDING THE TRUCK.
THE TRUCK IS BEING LISTED WITH NO RESERVE WITH A STARTING BID OF $10,000.00. i HAVE ROUGHLY $13,000.00 IN IT, MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN!

The best cars we drove this year

Tue, Dec 30 2014

Six hundred and fifty. That's roughly how many cars pass through the hands of Autoblog editors every year, from the vehicles we test here at home, to the cars we drive on new product launches, testing roundups, long-term cars, and so on. Of course, our individual numbers vary due to several reasons, but at the end of the day, our team's repertoire of automotive experience is indeed vast. But let's be honest, some cars certainly stand out more than others. So as the year's about to turn, and as we're readying brand-new daily cat calendars for our cubicles, our editors are all taking time to reflect on the machinery that made this year so special, with one simple, open-ended question as the guide – a question that we're asked quite frequently, from friends, family, colleagues, and more. "What's the best car you drove this year?" Lamborghini Huracan When I review the list of everything I drove in 2014, picking an absolute favorite becomes almost impossible. I mean, how does one delineate between the joy offered by cars as different as the Alfa Romeo 4C, Volkswagen Golf R, Mercedes-AMG GT S and even the humble-yet-wonderful Chevy Colorado? Okay fine, I'll just pick the Lamborghini. I drove the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 on a racetrack, in the mountains, and along southern coast of Spain. It felt like the king of the car jungle in all of those places, sucking the eyeballs of observers nearly out of their heads as it drove by, and almost melting my brain with its cocktail of speed and grip and intense communication. It feels a little easy to say that the one new supercar I drove this year was also my favorite, but the fact is that the Huracan is one of the finest cars I've driven during my career, let alone 2014. Judge me if you must. – Seyth Miersma Senior Editor Rolls-Royce Wraith There are a couple of ways to look at the question, "What's the best car you drove this year?" In terms of what was so good I'd go out and buy one tomorrow, that'd be my all-time sweetheart, the Volkswagen GTI. Or if I'm just talking about sheer cool-factor, maybe something like the Galpin GTR1, BMW i8, or Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. But instead, I'm going to write about the sheer opulence of being the best of the best. The hand-crafted, holier-than-thou, shut-your-mouth-when-I'm-talking-to-you supremacy. I'm picking the Rolls-Royce Wraith. I drove the Wraith for a week in April, and was really, really impressed. This car does everything, perfectly.

2015 Dodge Viper getting small increase in power

Tue, 29 Jul 2014

The Viper is used to being the most powerful car in the Dodge and SRT stables, but the arrival of the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat means that's no longer the case. The serpentine supercar is, however, reportedly getting a small boost in output for 2015, amounting to all of five horsepower.
The increase was uncovered by Road & Track courtesy of the SAE J1349 certification process to which Detroit's Big Three automakers submit themselves and which reports the Viper's output at 645 hp instead of the 640 it was rated at until now. There are a hundred factors that could have contributed to the relatively mild boost in output (best guess? nothing at all changed...), but we doubt anyone's going to complain about some extra horses under the hood.
The five-horsepower boost brings the Viper that much closer to the 650-hp Chevy Corvette Z06, not to mention the 707-hp Hellcat, but the Viper's impressive power-to-weight ratio ought to mean it'll have little problem keeping up in a straight line - which is just one of the reasons why Chrysler won't shoe-horn the Hellcat into the Viper: as R&T points out, the supercharged engine is too heavy and the blower makes it too tall to fit in the Viper's engine bay.

Will Dodge limit 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat to 1,200 units?

Sun, 20 Jul 2014

With over 700 horsepower on tap and a price tag barely over $60k, Dodge appears on paper to have a winner on its hands with the new Challenger SRT Hellcat. But if you want to get your hands on one, you may have to act quicker than this most powerful of muscle cars covers the quarter-mile.
That's because, according to our compatriots over at Edmunds, Dodge may limit production - in the first year, at least - to just 1,200 units. That would amount to barely a quarter of the Challengers that Dodge moves each month, and would also mean only one Hellcat for every two Dodge dealers in the US - which could lead to some serious contention over which stores and which customers can get their hands on the ultimate Challenger.
Reached for comment, SRT spokesman Dan Reid told Autoblog that "there is no plan to limit production of the Challenger Hellcat," echoing the words of Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis who told Edmunds: "We don't know what the market demand is." Which doesn't mean that it won't restrict production, but doesn't mean that it will, either. It just hasn't decided yet - or announced any such decision, at any rate - over what will be the final allocation strategy for what could be a game-changing muscle car. That is, at least, until new versions of the Mustang and Camaro come along in pursuit of Dodge's bragging rights...
