Fully built custom Dodge Diesel, used as my daily driver and off road rig for the last 4 years. The modifications to this truck run in the $15,000 range. Considering a Ford Raptor? Take a look at this truck, more torque, more travel, trussed axel, it will take more punishment than the Ford. This was built for me to run expeditions and I have, including the entire Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route. If you are in need of a race chase truck this will serve you well, you can get through the woops, crawl up the hills, and then drive the freeway home. Look at the other 2500’s on Ebay they either have 150,000 miles on them or have a lift that is junk. Also I should point out that this truck has never towed anything! Talk about not taxing a diesel truck. Also no mudding so if you have to service anything no piles of old mud will fall in your face. I had jeeps back in the day and hated when I would have to do something and it was all caked in mud.
The truck has low miles and no mechanical issues. This means it has no leaks, of any kind, all the electronics work as they should. The AC blows cold and the heat blows hot. If you have any questions at all I encourage you to please contact me prior to the close of the auction. Both batteries were replaced within the last 12 months. At the same time the crossover cable that connects the two batteries was replaced. The only time this truck has ever let me down was when the fuel pump went out in 2007. This was a design failure from Dodge and it was replaced under warranty. The fuel pump is no longer mounted in the tank as they were on the 2004.5's it is now located in the same place as the 2005 version. Also it is worth pointing out this is a California truck meaning no salt from the roads so no rust in the truck.
The 6" lift clears 37" tires as you can see in the pictures with ease but is not circus tall. This makes it very drivable on road and off without feeling like you will flip the truck every time you take a corner. This truck has long travel deaver rear springs and progressive rate from springs. No blocks here with stock springs and a harsh ride. At the same time the steering is perfect. Please do your homework when looking at a lifted truck if they have just slammed some cheap lift on there and big tires you will most likely end up with death wobble. You can find this in jeeps and trucks and let me assure you that this truck does not. I know because I have upgraded every component that can cause it and made sure that issue is not going to happen here. I will be happy to go out and hit potholes with you in the truck to prove that it won't happen. I also can take the truck up past 100mph and show you that you can confidently drive it down the freeway at that speed.

Here are a few of our automotive guilty pleasures
Tue, Jun 23 2020It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The world is full of cars, and just about as many of them are bad as are good. It's pretty easy to pick which fall into each category after giving them a thorough walkaround and, more important, driving them. But every once in a while, an automobile straddles the line somehow between good and bad — it may be hideously overpriced and therefore a marketplace failure, it may be stupid quick in a straight line but handles like a drunken noodle, or it may have an interior that looks like it was made of a mess of injection-molded Legos. Heck, maybe all three. Yet there's something special about some bad cars that actually makes them likable. The idea for this list came to me while I was browsing classified ads for cars within a few hundred miles of my house. I ran across a few oddballs and shared them with the rest of the team in our online chat room. It turns out several of us have a few automotive guilty pleasures that we're willing to admit to. We'll call a few of 'em out here. Feel free to share some of your own in the comments below. Dodge Neon SRT4 and Caliber SRT4: The Neon was a passably good and plucky little city car when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The Caliber, which replaced the aging Neon and sought to replace its friendly marketing campaign with something more sinister, was panned from the very outset for its cheap interior furnishings, but at least offered some decent utility with its hatchback shape. What the two little front-wheel-drive Dodge models have in common are their rip-roarin' SRT variants, each powered by turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Known for their propensity to light up their front tires under hard acceleration, the duo were legitimately quick and fun to drive with a fantastic turbo whoosh that called to mind the early days of turbo technology. — Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski Chevrolet HHR SS: Chevy's HHR SS came out early in my automotive journalism career, and I have fond memories of the press launch (and having dinner with Bob Lutz) that included plenty of tire-smoking hard launches and demonstrations of the manual transmission's no-lift shift feature. The 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder was and still is a spunky little engine that makes the retro-inspired HHR a fun little hot rod that works quite well as a fun little daily driver.
Here's the last Dodge Viper
Thu, Aug 17 2017The last Dodge Viper has rolled off the line. Ralph Gilles, FCA's Head of Design since April 2015, posted a photo gallery on Instagram with the caption "So long... #Viper." The gallery includes multiple photos of the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit, where the Dodge Viper has been built since 1995. In the gallery, we see a yellow unit with black stripes coming down the line, and Gilles is posing in front of it with Dodge/SRT Head of Design Mark Trostle. The yellow Viper is followed by a red car, with nothing else behind it on the line. That red Viper is "the ultimate last one," according to Gilles, adding that the automaker will be holding onto that unit for the company's heritage collection. You can click through the gallery here: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. When asked in the comments if the Viper was discontinued because of low sales, Gilles replied, "Not really as it sold well over the last couple of years at a great mix of mostly ACRs in the last 15 months. It has more to do with a new ejection mitigation regulation airbag that simply won't fit in our package." Despite the solemnity of the post, Gilles is upbeat about the Viper in general, saying "The Gen5 had a great 5 model year run and the Viper platform which has not changed that much over the years had a great 25 year run!" He says he has great memories with the car, and that "they are relatively robust so they will be around making memories for generations to come!" Still, we hope to see something that lives up to the Viper's wild, raw spirit come from FCA in the near future. Dodge Hellcat Widebody delivers Christmas tree at 174 mph
Thu, Dec 21 2017The holidays are here, and so last-minute shoppers are going to be in a serious rush to get all the items they need, especially Christmas shoppers that haven't even put up a tree yet. Those seriously late folks may want to invest in a Challenger Hellcat because apparently they can go an incredible 174 mph with a Christmas tree strapped to the roof. This was discovered by the folks at Hennessey. They got a Hellcat Widebody from Dodge for the little experiment, along with a suction cup mount roof rack from SeaSucker and a real Christmas tree from Lowe's. Then it was off to the Continental Tire test track in Texas to see how fast it could go, which, as mentioned was 174 mph. As you'll see in the video, it takes quite a bit of road to move up from 170 to 174 mph. It's impressive that the tree and roof rack don't seem to budge. And it's all capped off with a huge smokey burnout to the sound of V8 rumble and supercharger whine. It's a fun way to get into the holiday spirit. And we'll look forward to next year when maybe Dodge will give Hennessey a Demon to try out. Related Video:
