Up for sale is my 2006 Black Dodge Ram 2500 4WD Crew Cab Laramie with an 8' Box.  It has the 24V Cummins Turbo Diesel Engine and has an after market Jasper Transmission that was installed by the previous owner and I bought this truck almost 3 years ago on EBay. It's the RIGHT truck in the RIGHT color with the RIGHT options... Everything on this truck works like it's supposed to.  This truck runs awesome and shifts perfectly and downshifts perfectly.  This truck was originally from Texas and that is where I bought it from.  The guy I bought it off of, purchased this truck from the owner of a dealership in Texas.  It was already lifted and had 335/65/18 ( 37" ) tires with Chrome Helo wheels.  The previous owner has no idea how much suspension lift is on this truck and I don't either or what kind of lift it is......He said is was 6 inches, I think it's more like 3 or 4 inches.......Maybe someone on here can answer it for me by looking at the pics!  To be perfectly honest with you......I don't know very much about suspension lifts.   The front tires are about 60-75% and the rear tires are about 50%.  The truck has Heated Leather, driver and passenger seats are both power.  It also has a Power Sliding Rear Window, 6 disc Navagation, Power Adjustable Pedals, driver and passenger climate control, Power Sunroof, Towing Package, Trailer Brake Control, front tow hooks, it has 5th wheel rails in the bed with no hitch, Spray in Bed Liner, Amp Research Powersteps ( drop down automatically when any door opens ), Dual Steering Stabilizer Shocks, Bushwacker Wheel Flares,Ventvisors, Chrome Bug Shield, an aftermarket Cold Air Intake, an aftermarket fuel filter and separator system and a Smarty programmer that is set at 130HP over stock and when you see how much black smoke it produces and the power it has to put you back in the seat-you will be shocked-I have never owned a truck that ran so well and it is a torque monster.

I bought this truck to pull a 30ft Travel Trailer that we were going to purchase and I almost didn't buy it because of the lift, (I wanted a Black Laramie with a Sunroof,) but the previous owner pulled a 36 ft 5th wheel Camper and assured me it pulled straight and true with NO ISSUES!  He was not kidding, my Travel Trailer weighs 10,800 LBS and I have to look in the mirrors to make sure its still back there because it pulls it with ease and NO ISSUES!  I am selling our Travel Trailer so I will have no need for this truck anymore, plus I am using this truck to fund my new car purchase.....a 2013 Dodge Challenger 392.

This is an Awesome Truck and it attracts a lot of attention every where I go.....It has almost 162000 miles on it and you would never know by how well it runs and drives.....It is a 7 year old truck and its Nada price for clean retail is still over $25,000 with its options, but you will not pay anywhere  even close to that----all I will say without breaking EBay's listing policy is, it has a very low Best Offer Price mainly because of its imperfections that I will cover next.......I am not going to bash my truck, but be perfectly honest about its minor issues.........
First and foremost......... it is a truck and not a show vehicle.......it has stone chips on the front bumper cover........it has large tires and kicks up a lot of stuff......so the flares have some stone chips and the bottom of the front doors as well........there are some minor scratches on the outside top of bed on both sides and the top of the tailgate is scratched heavily......there is also what looks be a roman numeral ( IV ) on the tailgate.......it is scuffed in the paint...I have no idea how it came to be, but it rubbed something or someone did it....I tried polishing compound and if you look close it removed some of the ( I )....so I'm sure it will probably come off, but making no guarantee's..........NEXT   the wheels....which are Chrome and have tons of brake dust on them....like I said to me, its no show truck, and I didn't spend time cleaning the wheels like I should have...I tried, but way to much work for me...it would be easier for me to buy new ones than clean these....The carpet and floor mats could stand to be shampoo'ed as well to remove a few stains.......One Last Thing.....this may show a CarFax Insurance Claim or whatever they call it.....the truck was in a hail storm while I owned it and I claimed it with my insurance company..........  all this stuff is minor as the important things work just fine!                    I will include pics of the paint and wheel blemishes, upon request!!!!

If you have no issues with the paint or the wheels, you will SAVE THOUSANDS buying this truck........and remember this truck came from Texas and is RUST FREE and everything works properly......I don't know anymore I can tell you and I have honestly represented my truck as best as I can.
If you have any questions of something that I may have forgotten, please call me and I will try to answer them honestly, but please don't ask me technical questions about the lift as I don't honestly know how to answer them..
REMEMBER...... the BEST OFFER PRICE will be LOW....this truck will SELL......I drive a truck for a living so please call me during the day..(570) 751-6547   Tom   ......Thank you and good luck to all.........I will only sell this truck to USA Bidders and you will be responsible for shipping....I will accommodate as best to my ability with a transportation Carrier that you provide and pay for.    $500 deposit via Paypal within 24 hours and Balance due within 7 days after auction ends.......if you have no money or funding please do not bid and waste my time.   Thank You!

Stellantis invests more than $100 million in California lithium project

Thu, Aug 17 2023

Stellantis said it would invest more than $100 million in California's Controlled Thermal Resources, its latest bet on the direct lithium extraction (DLE) sector amid the global hunt for new sources of the electric vehicle battery metal. The investment by the Chrysler and Jeep parent announced on Thursday comes as the green energy transition and U.S. Inflation Reduction Act have fueled concerns that supplies of lithium and other materials may fall short of strong demand forecasts. DLE technologies vary, but each aims to mechanically filter lithium from salty brine deposits and thus avoid the need for open pit mines or large evaporation ponds, the two most common but environmentally challenging ways to extract the battery metal. Stellantis, which has said half of its fleet will be electric by 2030, also agreed to nearly triple the amount of lithium it will buy from Controlled Thermal, boosting a previous order to 65,000 metric tons annually for at least 10 years, starting in 2027. "This is a significant investment and goes a long way toward developing this key project," Controlled Thermal CEO Rod Colwell said in an interview. The company plans to spend more than $1 billion to separate lithium from superhot geothermal brines extracted from beneath California's Salton Sea after flashing steam off those brines to spin turbines that will produce electricity starting next year. That renewable power is expected to cut the amount of carbon emitted during lithium production. Rival Berkshire Hathaway has struggled to produce lithium from the same area given large concentrations of silica in the brine that can form glass when cooled, clogging pipes. Colwell said a $65 million facility recently installed by Controlled Thermal can remove that silica and other unwanted metals. DLE equipment licensed from Koch Industries would then remove the lithium. "We're very happy with the equipment," he said. "We're going to deliver. There's just no doubt about it." Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares called the Controlled Thermal partnership "an important step in our care for our customers and our planet as we work to provide clean, safe and affordable mobility." Both companies declined to provide the specific investment amount. Controlled Thermal aims to obtain final permits by October and start construction of a commercial lithium plant soon thereafter, Colwell said. Goldman Sachs is leading the search for additional debt and equity financing, he added.

2016 Dodge Viper ACR is ready to take a bite out of the Corvette Z06 [w/video]

Fri, May 8 2015

The Dodge Viper ACR is back, and as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles tells it, it's the most venomous breed ever born. Before you get too excited, the 8.4-liter V10 produces 645 horsepower; five more than the standard Viper and five less than the supercharged Chevrolet Corvette Z06. It's unclear why Dodge didn't extract more from the huge engine, although we somehow imagine that certain people in Maranello, Italy had a say in the matter. Instead of blessing the ACR variant with bunches of extra output, Dodge instead turned to an aggressive aerodynamics package that it claims delivers nearly a ton of downforce at the Viper's maximum speed of 177 miles per hour. The total aero package includes an adjustable, twin-element, carbon-fiber rear wing, carbon-fiber diffuser, an extendable front splitter, and dive planes. Those big louvers on the hood? Yeah, they're removable, too. The "race-tuned" suspension uses coil-over Bilstein shocks that offer ten different settings and up to three inches of height adjustment. Kumho Ecsta V720 tires were built specifically for the Viper ACR, and come in 355/30 in back and 295/25 in front, with 19-inch wheels at all four corners. Along with the aero improvements, Dodge is claiming the Viper can pull a race-car-like 1.5Gs in higher-speed turns. Carbon-ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers add the stopping power that's greater or equal to the ACR's cornering performance. Dodge was also keen to reduce weight, taking some rather dramatic measures in the effort. The stereo has just three speakers, while the electric function was removed from the seats. Even the carpet has been replaced with a "lightweight" alternative. Finally, Dodge is offering up the innovative 1 of 1 customization it pioneered with the Viper GT earlier this year. That means that not only can you get the fastest Viper ever built, but it'll be entirely your own when you take delivery.

2015 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack Quick Spin

Thu, Jun 18 2015

"Scat Pack" is plucked from The Big Book of Dodge Nameplates to describe what is basically the average of the Charger R/T and Charger SRT 392. Unnecessary horsepower always seems to go down better with a dose of heritage. If you think it's a silly name, just be thankful Dodge didn't call it an S/RT or an R/T-S. In previous years, a similar formulation was known as the SRT8 Super Bee. Going by another name, it's still as sweet and wears the same hurried-looking pollinator on the grille. We do wonder: What has displeased him so, and why does he have wings and wheels? The packaging is at least fresh. All Chargers get updates for 2015, including improved interiors and a Dart-on-steroids exterior redo. The new lines work especially well on the more aggressive models, including this Scat Pack car. Like the Super Bee before it, the Scat Pack gets the 6.4-liter engine from SRT 392; for 2015 it gets a slight output boost to 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque, respective increases of 15 and 5. It does without the SRT three-mode suspension and comes with cloth seats (leather is an option) to keep the price down. The Scat Pack also has slightly smaller Brembo front brakes, narrower wheels, and different rubber. It does, however, cost eight grand less and is just as quick in a straight line. Intriguing. Driving Notes Scat Pack cars get an electronically controlled active exhaust that we'd call hyperactive. It's loud all the time, opening its widest at startup, idle, and when you ask for any appreciable amount of power. Sport mode supposedly makes a difference, but we couldn't discern loud from louder. It's a delicious and appropriate loudness, with a brassy trumpet tone to it, and the engine makes top-fuel noises at full tilt. The squeal of the rear tires can be heard from every stoplight no matter the road conditions. A light touch avoids leaving a mark if you're so inclined. We weren't. When the tires eventually smear into the realm of traction, this thing is pretty quick – hitting 60 miles per hour takes 4.5 seconds. There's also an adjustable launch control mode if you want to cut out some of the wheelspin. The eight-speed transmission shifts smoothly. Quicker, more-palpable shifts are had in Sport mode, but occasionally the transmission still needs a moment to drop down from seventh or eighth when you mash the throttle. Despite its two overdrive gears, this Charger is still loud on the highway. In a good way. Probably.
