VERY CLEAN TRUCK INSIDE AND OUT. THE LETTERING ON DOORS COMES OFF ITS JUST STICK ON LETTERS. MORITZ 7' X 8' ALUM FLATBED ONLY COUPLE YEARS OLD PAID OVER 3,000 FOR CUSTOM BED. HAS GOOSNECK HITCH IN ALUM BED NEVER USED. ALSO HAS REESE HITCH ON TRUCK. VERY RELIABLE WORK TRUCK. ONLY ISSUE EVER HAD WAS NUMBER 6 INJECTOR STUCK OPEN AND BURNT HOLE IN PISTON. HAD COMPLETE MOTOR REBUILD DONE ON TRUCK .20 OVER PISTONS, ALL NEW BEARINGS, RODS, CYLINDER HEAD, OIL PUMP AND OIL COOLER AND NEW INJECTOR. THIS WAS CAUSED BY BAD INJECTOR THAT SPRAYED TO MUCH FUEL AND GOT THE NUMBER 6 CYLINDER HOT. HAD G&R DIESEL DO A COMPLETE MOTOR REBUILD. THIS WORK WAS DONE LESS THAN 2000 MILES AGO. COST $6800.00. SO TRUCK HAS BRAND NEW CUMMINS REBUILD ON IT ALSO HAS 12MO/ 12000 MILE WARRANTY FROM G&R. THEY ARE ONE OF THE BEST AND LARGEST DIESEL SHOPS IN OUR AREA. VERY GOOD WORK. NEVER HAD ANY TRANSMISSION ISSUES WITH THIS TRUCK. GOOD SOLID TRUCK. THE TRUCK ALSO COMES WITH A 10' 2" BOSS V PLOW. THEY COST OVER $6000.00 NEW. ALSO COMES WITH A SMITH DC DRIVE V BOX SALT SPREADER. IT WILL HOLD 6000 LBS OF SALT HEAVED. SPREADER NEW OVER $4000.00. SO INCLUDED IN THE SALE OF THIS TRUCK IS EVERYTHING YOU SEE IN PHOTOS. PLOW AND SPREADER WERE NEW WITH TRUCK. How to turn a Dodge airport tug into a trail slayer
Sun, 16 Nov 2014Sometimes, having a ton of fun requires takes a ton of work. Just nine days before the so-called Ultimate Adventure 2014, the folks behind 4-Wheel & Off-Road had 40 tasks to complete in order to turn the ratty truck pictured above into a machine that could excel on treacherous off-road trails while still being able to handle highway jaunts. Much of process behind the build was chronicled on the latest episode of Dirt Every Day.
The team's vehicle started life as a 1990 Dodge tug truck that spent part of its life hauling around airplanes. The builders hung on to the Cummins six-cylinder diesel, but they tossed out practically everything else for the project, with some seriously heavy-duty replacement parts for the transmission, transfer case, axles and a whole lot more. The process was certainly a ton of work, but the end result looks like a fantastic crawler.
Sure, it might have been easier to bring a truck that was already prepared, but where would the fun in that have been? Stay tuned until the end of the video for a few glimpses of the completed Dodge and peek at some of the punishment it goes through.
Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat's 707 storming horses can be yours for $60k
Wed, 16 Jul 2014We love a good deal on high performance. It's what traditionally makes muscle cars so appealing - you get lots of speed, for not a lot of money. For 2015, Dodge has taken this to its logical extreme, offering its new 707-horsepower, supercharged, V8-powered Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat for just $59,900. For those wondering, that works out to just about $85 per horsepower, which when compared with a typical budget performance car, like the $24,995, 210-hp Volkswagen GTI ($119 per hp), demonstrates the Hellcat's astonishing value.
The information was revealed by a photo (click on the inset image to expand) taken at this week's Portland launch event (our man Seyth Miersma is just now on the ground and will have a full report on the madness that is the Hellcat soon) for the entire 2015 Challenger range, and reveals the Hellcat's price alongside its high-powered competitors from Ford and Chevrolet.
The discontinued 662-hp Mustang GT500 started at $56,000, while the 580-hp Camaro ZL1 starts off at $58K. Indeed, the only muscle car that outprices the Hellcat is the track-focused Camaro Z/28, a car that we're guessing could still wallop the Hellcat on the right piece of track, despite being down over 200 hp.
