2001 Dodge Cummins 2500 4x4 5.9 Turbo Diesel on 2040-cars
Chardon, Ohio, United States
I purchased this truck from an Ohio dealership originally coming from Pennsylvania owner. I have owned it since 10-2012, has been a good running truck. Never used for heavy towing, just occasional livestock trailer pulling.
Everything on truck is stock. Fluids and oils are changed on a regular basis. Tires were new 09-2013. Front and rear brakes replaced 2014. Fuel pump replaced 2014. Front wheel bearings replaced 2014. Rear rotors and calipers replaced 2014. 4 wheel drive works. Hood was replaced this spring due to not being latched and flew open while driving! Truck is in fair condition with the normal Ohio salt damage to front fenders and bottoms of doors. A new bed was put on the truck before I owned it, can see the red color through some minor paint chips. Air does not work, did not work when I bought it. The dash is cracked. Fuel gauge does not read right, found this out the hard way driving it home from dealership. Half tank means empty and full means full. I got used to this so I never had it fixed. There is a dent in rear driver side bumper. There is a rip in the center council top where an arm usually rests. The motor has been fine, this is the second Cummins truck I have owned and loved. Now looking for more of a family vehicle because we already have another truck. |

CES 2022 was huge for EVs | Autoblog Podcast #711
Fri, Jan 7 2022In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder. CES took place this week, and there were some nice electric surprises from automakers, especially General Motors. John has been driving the Ram 1500 Power Wagon, as well as what seems to be its polar opposite, the electric Mini Cooper SE. Greg talks about the differences between the Acura TLX A-Spec long-termer (which is back in the shop) and the Type S loaner that's filling in for it. John's also got some interesting thoughts on leather interiors. Finally, the editors reach into the mailbag and help a repeat customer decide on a suitable replacement for a 2008 Lexus GX 470 in this week's Spend My Money segment. 2019 Ram 1500 features an updated Ram's head badge
Fri, Jan 19 2018Full-size truck owners love to make a statement. That's how we've arrived at the mile-high grilles, acres of chrome and belt buckle-esque badging you'll find on trucks like the Chevy Silverado, Ford F-150 and Nissan Titan. The new 2019 Ram 1500 made its debut this week at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show. While the sheetmetal and grille are the most obvious visual changes, the ram's head badge quietly got a modern redesign. At first glance, it appears to be the same badge that's graced Dodge and Ram vehicles for decades. Look closely and you'll see that this new one is all squared off, ditching all the curves for straight edges. It looks chiseled rather than carved and is a far cry from the detailed Ram's head that made a debut back in 1981. It also incorporates the new "RAM" lettering that replaced the crosshair in the truck's grille. View 4 Photos Little things like this do a lot to keep a vehicle fresh. Dodge seems to be the only automaker capable of changing logos anymore. Ford and Chevy are stuck with the blue oval and bowtie, so why not take advantage of a newer nameplate?
