auto transmission which I was told was changed at 210,000 miles(I trust this but have no proof i.e. receipt) has a b+m shift kit and an aftermarket single disc torque converter so trans is built to last pulling trailers or normal wear and tear
this truck looks great! the fact that the truck is from Michigan is unbelievable im almost certain its never seen Michigan salt there are two paint bubbles on the rear box sides but other than that I cannot find any rust
truck fires right up trans shifts great transfer case and all 4x4 componets work great
now the truck is 14 years old and the drivers seat is split there are coffee stains in the carpet the speedo does not work brake abs and air bag lights are on probably a bad wheel sensor and other imperfections im sure
the truck drives good doesn't seem to knock or bang over bumps doesn't shake or shimmy
steering is a little loose but better than other dodge trucks ive driven
has 305/70/16 tires on the factory wheels tires are good for summer but not winter I will include a full set of 265/75/16 coopers with 60%+ tread to winning bidder
as far as aftermarket parts this truck is mostly stock it has mbrp 4 inch exhaust with a 5 inch tip and a banks big head wastegate no tuner or programmer
the truck has a towing package with brake controller and reese 2 inch receiver never has had a 5th wheel or gooseneck hitch
all in all this is one of the cleanest dodges ive seen here in Michigan I have never driven in snow and I don't think it has seen much in all its life truck really sells itself

Fiat Chrysler picks Google, Samsung for global connected car system
Tue, Apr 30 2019DETROIT — Fiat Chrysler said on Tuesday it will use technology from Alphabet Inc's Google and Samsung to connect all its vehicles by 2022, providing music and video and facilitating future car-sharing and self-driving capabilities. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (FCA) will use Google's Android operating system globally instead of a mixture of software that varies by region, a spokesman said. The automaker will also use a cloud-based digital platform from Samsung Electronics Co Ltd's Harman unit. Unlike its rivals General Motors and Ford, FCA has spent virtually nothing on developing self-driving vehicle technology. This saves the company large amounts of money, but makes it reliant on outside parties to provide technology and systems. FCA said it will launch the new capabilities in the second half of 2019. The company said the system will aid owners "by predicting maintenance needs, locating fuel and charging stations, receiving traffic prompts and restaurant offers and providing live customer-care assistance at the push of the button." FCA recalls 210,000 new Jeeps and Dodges due to a brake issue
Thu, Aug 23 2018FCA is recalling some 210,000 vehicles in the U.S. and elsewhere over a possible braking issue. On this occasion, the recall is made less complicated by the fact that about one-third of the affected vehicles are so new, they still reside on dealer lots, making them easy to tally up and put right. The recall concerns 2018 Dodge Journeys, 2019 Jeep Cherokees and 2018-2019 Dodge Grand Caravans and 2018-2019 Jeep Compasses. Most were built in spring 2018, and the recall is related to a brake system component that failed to meet FCA specifications. Further information available on the NHTSA website details the issue, saying that insufficiently coated rear brake caliper pistons may cause gas pockets to form in the brake fluid of very new vehicles. This in turn can reduce rear brake performance — bubbles in brake lines are not desirable. FCA underlines that the brakes still function, but stopping distance can be affected. As a remedy, the brake systems are inspected and re-bled. The recall is slated to begin on Sept. 28. In addition to 154,337 vehicles in the United States, the recall concerns 19,066 units in Canada, some 900 in Mexico and some 35,500 vehicles on other markets. Dodge shows off the electric Charger, and is the Wrangler 392 done? | Autoblog Podcast #815
Fri, Jan 19 2024In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Road Test Editor Zac Palmer. They kick things off with a roundup of the week's news, and of course the first photos of a pre-production electric Dodge Charger Daytona are the first topic. After that, the pair chat about the possible demise of the Jeep Wrangler 392 via a Final Edition meant for 2025 and ruminate on if they'd be up for buying one of the many Teslas that Hertz is offing from its rental fleet for cheap. Once the news is wrapped, the two move along to what they've been driving, starting with the first drive of the 2024 Acura TLX Type S. Then, they welcome our new Subaru WRX long-term test car and review both the Nissan Altima SL AWD and Nissan Pathfinder Platinum.
