LOW MILEAGE! 2003 EXTREMELY CLEAN DODGE RAM 1500 QUAD CAB 4X4 WITH ONLY 77,863 MILES! Mileage may be a bit higher at time of sale , since I am driving this vehicle from time to time.Runs well, non smoker, very clean and priced very reasonable. Equipped:4.7 Liter V8 Magnum engine, auto trans, four wheel drive (part time) recent tires 265/70/R17 Cooper, SLT PKG, alloy wheels, chrome trim, spray bed liner, towing package, CD, power windows, locks , mirrors, tilt, cruise etc. Damage: Just like to mention , tailgate has a key scratch, both quarter panels show surface rust on wheel opening area ( very common with these trucks, all in the same area) left front fender has a ding the size of a quarter, front bumper painted portion has scratches. This truck looks like a 2009 model since it is so clean and I get compliments constantly. I had the engine oil changed with synthetic oil and did not touch the trans fluid since it was clean.Production date: 5-03. I listed this truck with a rebuilt title since it has flood history. This truck arrived as you see it with no odor or signs of any damage. The title actually has no brands since it is a 2003 model. In New York,  they do not brand titles on 2003 and older vehicles and the mileage is also exempt due to its age. This vehicle already went through the salvage exam process in New York. Please check your local salvage laws before bidding or feel free to contact me. Contact Allen 201-248-3818 or 1ofals@optonline.net  The phone works best! I will be advertising this truck local so do not wait untill auction ends to contact me. I may end this auction early if I have a local buyer.I can arrange shipping at a reasonable rate. Clean Truck!!

Chrysler recalling 280k Dodge Ram 1500 pickups over axle seizures

Fri, Dec 19 2014

Following a June investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will be recalling 280,000 Dodge Ram pickups from model year 2005. The issue, NHTSA told The Detroit News, centered on a loose pinion nut, which could cause the rear axle to seize and, potentially, the driveshaft to detach. The affected vehicles were built between January of 2004 and August of 2005, while of the 280,000 trucks, only 257,000 were sold in the US market. According to The News, the recall will begin on February 13, and will see owners report to dealerships to have "a retention feature" added to the pinion nut.

NHTSA probing Ram recall pace, communication

Tue, 28 Oct 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that it's looking into Chrysler Group's handling of a pair of recalls affecting roughly one million Ram pickup trucks. Reuters is reporting that the regulatory agency is focusing on the availability (or lack thereof) of parts and "poor communications" from the automaker in its investigation.
"Customers have been advised in accordance with the regulations governing recalls," Chrysler spokesman Eric Mayne told Reuters via email. "We are continually replenishing our supply of replacement parts. Chrysler Group regrets any inconvenience our customers may have experienced."
NHTSA disagrees, arguing that the recalls, which affect 972,000 trucks from 2003 to 2012, are being delayed by the lack of parts.

Chrysler recalling over 280k minivans because airbags may deploy on wrong side

Mon, 08 Jul 2013

Chrysler has issued a recall for some 2013 Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan and Ram C/V Tradesman vans built between May 10, 2012 and June 7, 2013. These vehicles may have a software error that would cause the wrong side (opposite side) airbags to deploy in a crash. With this defect, a left-side impact would cause the right-side airbag to deploy, etc.
The recall affects 281,500 vehicles in total: 224k in the US, 49,300 in Canada, 2,900 in Mexico and 5,300 in other locations. Chrysler will notify owners of effected vehicles, and reflash the offending occupant restraint control module to resolve the issue.
