I am selling my project. Its a rare 1992 Dodge Ram P/U (1/2 ton) with an EXTENDED cab that's not a diesel!! Its fast and has a nice rumble to it! Its in real good shape, it is my daily driver and I am averaging 13 in town and 18 on the highway. It is a COMPLETE, not stripped, truck. I have worked hard to track down all OEM parts to make it back to original & have fixed everything so everything works! This truck looks good but needs paint, I am hand sanding it and primering. It runs and sounds awesome for a truck that is 21yrs old!!!! It is a 5.2 fuel injected V-8 with 159K (MILEAGE GOES UP AS I DRIVE IT DAILY) I believe the cam was upgraded..auto trans w/OD, 2wd, power windows, locks, mirrors, C/C, A/C. It is a daily driver! Within the last several weeks, I completed the tune up: new plugs, wires, air filter & oil change, new lights, new shocks, it has a newer side exhaust, newer rear step bumper. It has the OEM slider window, OEM AM/FM/Cassette/CD. The interior is near perfect, completely CLEAN and original! There are no cracks in the dash pad at all. The rear jumpseats, and center console are near perfect. Grill is the original chrome and the original wheels and caps. It will need a windshield because of a small crack and some chips.  All the window tint needs redone. THERE IS NO LEAKS UNDER THE TRUCK...those are stains in the driveway prior to me moving in! The A/C will need a recharge...there is no leaks, I just cannot get my hands on R-12.  I was considering the conversion to R-134, but I will leave that up to the Buyer. I installed new taillights due to one cracking and fading, new brake booster, new turn signal switch, and all new fuses and the tires that I previously mentioned. All the chrome has been cleaned up with 0000 grit steel wool and shines beautifully in the sun. I also got and installed a new chrome spare rim with a new tire. This truck is a rocket!

I have looked on EBAY and CL for trucks like mine...on EBAY, and all I see is diesels. NOT ONE LIKE MINE! This truck is rare in this good of condition. I have looked on CL in every major city...nothing even close to the condition or options and way too high priced for a SINGLE CAB.  This is an AZ truck, and has no rust at all on it. Trucks like this are hard to come by and older trucks I believe are the new muscle cars....this was to be my son's but he has extended in Korea...so here it is....I am telling you...after you paint this, it will be a looker!

Please BID respectfully. Be a bidder not a watcher..I will not give it away. And its up for sale locally as well.  Buyer is responsible for a deposit (1/2 of auction sale price) within 48hrs of the winning bid, full payment and pick up within 5 days. I will not ship nor deliver. Ask questions or concerns about the truck PRIOR to close of auction. Deposit will not be refunded. I am representing the truck as I know it. I am not responsible for any misinterpretation and sale is "AS-IS" and final without any warranty or guarantee.

I have reviewed the "title record" from EBAY and I am addressing the issues as to my knowledge since owning it....1) the AZ TITLE reflects "RESTORED" due to a bed replacement. NO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE.  I was told that it had a contractors box and it was changed out. I have been under this vehicle redoing the shocks and such, I never noticed anything out of sort, it was actually quite clean. I will send pictures to an individual who requests them. 2) I was told by the previous owner who initiated the restoration of the truck, that it was a previous "Reserve Fire Department" vehicle. I never verified, but the paint and parts that were left on it, would indicate it possibly was...3) There is NO LIEN! I own the truck free and clear 4) The emission issue was an O2 sensor and exhaust, which has been replaced. 5) Mileage is BOX A which in AZ is "ACTUAL."  6) I have also spoken to Ebay about the 3rd party title report. Ebay states they are not responsible for the information (accurate or otherwise) but it has NO LEIN and the other issues I addressed in the description.  Hope this helps!

Trying to be upfront and honest as from what I know since owning her so there is no misrepresentation. But, as I said earlier, please feel free to ask any questions before the auction ends. If any questions please contact me directly at 623-293-1250.

Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!

The Dodge Challenger 1320 is rarer than the vaunted Demon

Tue, Dec 24 2019

Dodge stopped making the 840-horsepower Challenger Demon after the 2018 model year, and it filled the gap the coupe left in its range with a slightly tamer variant called 1320. While it wasn't a limited-edition model, production figures released recently cement its status as a future classic. 1320 references the length of a drag strip, which normally checks in at 1,320 feet, and the name speaks volumes: It was built to go flat-out for a quarter mile. It offered all of the go-fast goodies found in the Demon, including a transbrake, a line lock, an SRT-tuned suspension, plus bigger brakes provided by Brembo, and it swapped the supercharged V8 for a naturally-aspirated, 6.4-liter eight shared with the Challenger 392 and tuned to 485 horsepower. It wasn't quite as quick as the Demon, but it remained a race car barely street-legal enough to put plates on, so it occupied a shallow niche. Dodge made 1,054 examples of the 1320 during the 2019 model year, according to Mopar Insiders. Of those, 1,026 units were sold in the United States, and the remaining 28 stayed in their home country of Canada. As for colors, 232 enthusiasts chose Pitch Black, making it the most popular. At the other end of the spectrum, 13 buyers ordered Maximum Steel, which is the rarest color offered to the public. One 1320 was painted in Yellow Jacket, and another in Billet, but they were pre-production cars. To add context, the firm capped Demon production at 3,300 units, including 300 for the Canadian market. The 1320 is returning for the 2020 model year, so it might ultimately become more common than the Demon, but it remains a rare edition that will turn heads at high-profile classic car auctions in a few decades' time. If you've got one, race it, but pamper it off the track, and hang on to it. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. 2020 Dodge Durango SRT Drivers' Notes | When excess is a good thing

Wed, Dec 4 2019

Performance SUVs and crossovers from non-luxury brands are still in a nascent stage of development. Models like the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, BMW X5 M and others are on subsequent generations of their high-performance high-riding machines. Meanwhile, the 2019 Dodge Durango SRT is still refreshingly new. It’s also about as American as it gets. Dodge shoehorned in the 6.4-liter V8 and gave it an exhaust system that screams ‘Murica at anyone who strays too close. It makes a glorious 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, completing the sprint to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels, which means you have traction — something the Challengers and Chargers with this engine could use a bit more of. Despite the Dodge being far cheaper than other big, high performance luxury SUVs out there, it still isnÂ’t cheap. The SRT has a base price of $64,490. Ours stickers for a much higher $78,235. Unsurprisingly, Dodge makes you pay the big bucks for most of the luxury features and customization options. A $2,395 Technology Group adds adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and forward collision avoidance systems. Fancy interior materials like a suede headliner, nicer materials on the instrument panel and carbon fiber inserts can be had in a $2,495 package. The stripes are $1,295, and the 20-inch wheels cost $995. To get the second row console with an armrest and storage, youÂ’ll have to pay an extra $595. A $78,235 Durango might sound like a completely egregious amount of money, but itÂ’s still far below what youÂ’ll pay for a BMW X7 or Mercedes-Benz GLS that goes just as fast. ItÂ’s no muscle SUV for the people, but it is a muscle SUV for more people than could afford one previously. Assistant Editor Zac Palmer: An American SUV with a giant V8 feels like a superior descendant of muscle cars than most other “muscle cars” on sale today. Both the Mustang and Camaro slant toward the sports car side of things, leaving FCA to carry on the muscle car tradition. And man, Dodge carries it on well. FCA could slot its 6.4-liter V8 into nearly anything and IÂ’d love it, so it was no surprise that I enjoyed it thrashing it about in this behemoth of an SUV. Traction off the line was one major benefit in the Durango over the Charger and Challenger. Matt the throttle and it just leaps forward, similar to the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT.

One Lap of America, with three times the madness

Tue, May 15 2018

Instead of celebrating last weekend face down in a sombrero full of tequila-spiked OJ and a few lime wedges, 71 racing teams with one set of tires each and no support crews began Cinco De Mayo — and this year's 35th running of the One Lap of America — by hitting the wet skid pad at Tire Rack's headquarters in South Bend, Ind. There were Porsches, Vettes, Camaros and BMWs galore. There was a Miata, a vintage NSX, a Honda S2000 and even an old VW Rabbit. There were GTIs, the odd Evo and, oh yeah, six Toyotas, a couple of Vipers and a couple of GTRs. When the skidding stopped, a 2011 BMW 1M emerged triumphant and led the pack out into the heartland, where it will spend 5,000 miles this week hitting road courses, dragstrips and time trials at tracks as far west as Denver, as south as Fort Worth and then New Orleans. From there, it will barrel north through Mississippi, Alabama, Nashville, Kentucky and back home again to Tire Rack in Indiana. Twenty events, eight venues, with a three-hour window for each event. It's a nonstop, no-sleep, one-week road trip comprising 150-ish friends and brothers, partiers and pro racing drivers, spouses and other family-member combo packs. Some will never speak to each other again, some might end up divorced, some might get married. All of them are nuts. I know this because I made three laps. Three laps I will never forget.LAP ONE: 1984 Vehicle: 1984 Dodge Van Team #0: Jean Lindamood (Jennings), Walker Evans, Parnelli Jones I was present for the inaugural 1984 One Lap of America because I worked at Car and Driver back then and so did Brock Yates. He was the guy who came up with the clandestine, illegal, unsanctioned Cannonball Baker Sea-to-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash from Connecticut to Redondo Beach, Calif. It ran five times in the 1970s, with Yates joining Dan Gurney in a Ferrari Daytona for the second run. They won, Gurney insisting that "at no time did we exceed 175 miles per hour." One Lap was born of Cannonball nostalgia (read: Brock was bored), and I was beyond game for it. After securing a van from Dodge and two giant decals for the van sides, along with $5,000 in sponsorship from local Detroit Stroh's Brewery, I coaxed my friend, nine-time Baja 1000 winner Walker Evans, into running One Lap by suggesting he didn't have a hair on his ass if he refused. Then I suggested that if he didn't get his best friend and longtime road trip buddy, Parnelli Jones, to go with us, I would actually have to drive the van, too.
