Hi, Just out of storage, I am offering for sale my 1996 DODGE INDY 500 SPECIAL EDITION ram truck that is one of the documented official pace trucks that ran the track along side the dodge viper pace car at the 80th Indy 500 in 1996. The truck is in amazing condition with no rust on body and only a few small scuffs that I have touched up and looks good waxed. The truck still has the black undercoating on the frame and underneath. The truck has numerous factory upgrades for the road course like tubular upper and lower control arms, stiffer lowering springs and spindles, Mopar axle flip, tubular transmission cross member, pan-hard bar and a 4'' custom Moser aluminium driveshaft that is polished. It also has 4 new Falken racing 275 tires and forged aluminium wheel spacers. the truck has a factory Mopar roll-pan with all logos still visible and all original decals intact. the drivetrain has been extensively upgraded with no corners cut for quality. The engine is a 434CI stroked small block with 650hp AFR195 heads, victor Jr intake, Harland sharp roller rockers, comp cams BMT cam and valvetrain, march stainless pulleys, MSD ignition 6al with boost timing master, Eaton side mounted supercharger, Powerjection 3 EFI system with laptop tuning software and Usb plug in cab, 1-3/4 Hedman headers, doug's electric exhaust cutouts with switches in console, flowmaster original 40 series exhaust, custom vibrant front mount intercooler, HID kit in headlights and fogs, 1997 viper T-56 6 speed transmission conversion with factory new clutch, Richmond 4:10 race gears in rear end with Auburn Limited slip unit, custom console with blue suede inside cab with shifter boot still to finish soon, custom pioneer navigation system with stock infinity amp and kappa speakers, custom gauges displayed on radio screen and boost and air/fuel gauge customized on dash. there is many other small upgrades but i dont have room to list them all. This is a must see collector truck that has been well taken care of, runs and sounds mean with the blower and agressive cam. Only serious buyers will be entertained as I am in no rush to sell my collector truck. truck has more then $30000 in upgrades.  happy bidding

SpeedKore carbon-fiber 1970 Dodge Charger packs a 996-hp Demon engine

Tue, Oct 30 2018

SpeedKore Performance does some pretty neat things with carbon fiber. SEMA is always the place to show off new and interesting builds, and SpeedKore has a few new offerings on display. We talked about the lightweight carbon fiber 2018 Dodge Demon late last week, but now that SEMA 2018 is in full swing, we've got a look at something even cooler, an all-carbon, Demon-powered 1970 Dodge Charger "Evolution." SpeedKore Performance is based in Wisconsin and has been churning out SEMA showstoppers for years. In addition to the Demon, take a look at this Shelby GT350R the shop modified a few years back. The Charger Evolution is named so because it further modifies the SpeedKore Charger "Tantrum" that was used in the " Fast and Furious" films. That car used a carbon composite body and was fitted with a 9.0-liter Mercury Racing twin-turbo engine making an absurd 1,650 horsepower. The Evolution might be down on power — only 996 horses thanks to a modified Demon crate engine — but the goal was to create something a little more usable than the Tantrum. Upgrades include a smaller supercharger pulley, larger fuel injectors, a custom cold-air intake, stainless steel headers and a custom exhaust with SLP mufflers. There's also a Dailey Engineering dry sump, upgraded oil cooler, and Saldana radiator. It's also lighter, thanks to even more carbon fiber. SpeedKore had a goal to get the '70 Charger to about 3,200 pounds. To get there, the Evolution employs carbon-fiber bodywork, an aluminum floor, a steel roll cage and a new 2x3-inch steel box frame. SpeedKore's autoclave is large enough to bake a one-piece roof, hood and quarter panels. The bare bodywork has been finished with a clear coat to help prevent fading. The Evolution uses billet aluminum for the door handles, fuel cap and grille, all finished in a bronze-nickel coating to pair with the HRE wheels. In addition to the floor, aluminum was used for the firewall, transmission tunnel and radiator shroud. To slow the Charger down, it uses Brembo brakes with six-piston calipers up front and four-piston calipers in the rear. The suspension uses Penske adjustable coilovers while Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires wrap 19x10-inch front wheels and 20x12-inch rear wheels. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. Junkyard Gem: 2001 Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe

Fri, Jan 19 2018

The Chrysler "Cloud Cars" of the 1990s were the Chrysler Cirrus, Plymouth Breeze, and Dodge Stratus; by the turn of our current century, only the Stratus name remained standing. For 2001, the Stratus sedan remained on a Chrysler platform, while the unrelated-other-than-name Stratus coupe became a sibling to the Mitsubishi Eclipse. The Stratus R/T was the hot-rod version; here's a 2001 Stratus R/T coupe languishing in a California self-service wrecking yard. This car has the 5-speed manual transmission, which was becoming a rarity even for performance-minded American car shoppers by the early 21st century. The engine is a DOHC version of the Mitsubishi 6G72, a V6 engine that went into dozens of different vehicles from the mid-1980s through just a few years ago. The Mitsubishi Debonair AMG ran the 6G72, as did the early Hyundai Sonata as well as the Proton Perdana. This one was rated at 200 horsepower, which was enough to be real fun with a manual transmission. This car endured some exciting driving from its last owner, looks like. The Stratus Coupe was built through the 2005 model year, after which its Dodge Avenger successor continued in sedan-only form. This content is hosted by a third party. 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is getting a facelift

Tue, May 8 2018

The Challenger Hellcat won't be the only Mopar muscle car getting an update for the new model year. One of our spy photographers caught an updated 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat testing near the SRT office. It appears that the car will continue on mostly unchanged, since everything behind the fenders is uncovered and unchanged. But the fascia must be getting some noteworthy changes considering how well it's hidden. And it's really, really well-hidden. It's extremely difficult to see through this covering. Whatever changes have been made still aren't going to be massive. It looks like the basics remain the same, including the large center grille in the bumper flanked by two outboard inlets that lack fog lights. The grille appears to still connect with the headlights, and the grille is pinched in the middle. Odds are, the front fascia is the only major difference on the 2019 Charger Hellcat, just as the twin-scoop hood on the Challenger Hellcat is the only major difference on that model. Under the hood will likely be the same 707-horsepower supercharged V8. This Charger prototype also sports the same Brembo brakes as the current model. The full reveal will probably come this summer along with the Challenger. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
