1993 Dodge Diesel 2500 D250 Club Cab 5.9l 12v Cummins on 2040-cars

Completley original 5.9L Cummins 12valve. Power windows, Power Locks, EVERYTHING electric works PERFECT. Purchased in January of this year from original owner who purchased it brand new in 1993. It was garaged stored and never used to tow anything but a small farm trailer, and he only drove it as a summer ride. It has recently had new front ball joints, BF Goodrich tires, alignment and steering stabilizer. Truck is solid and fires up before starter makes a full rotation even in 30 degree weather. I have been getting 22-26 MPG out of a tank depending on where and how I drive it. The only problems with the truck is some rust on the drivers side rocker panel, which is covered by the diamond plate, and the steering gearbox leaks a little. If it sets all night or day it may leak a quarter size spot, but steering is still smooth and there is no noise while turning the wheels in park. There is some minor quarter sized clear coat peeling off on the hood but as expected with Dodge paint jobs, especially 21 year old paint jobs. Aftermarket trailer brake and plug installed proffessionally by original owner. Any other questions or specific pictures you may want please feel free to contact me at 910 340 3885. I do not need to sell but i am going to Afghanistan for several months and I dont want this beauty sitting around not being driven!! Thanks for viewing and good luck!! |

Want a new 2017 Viper? You'd better call Gerry Wood Dodge
Thu, Oct 6 2016As unfortunate as the news may be, the Dodge Viper is entering its final year of production. Slow sales and increased safety regulations have finally killed Dodge's big, brutish, and beautiful supercar. It will be missed. According to Motor Authority, those looking to pick up one of the last remaining models will have to travel to Gerry Wood Dodge in Salisbury, North Carolina. The dealer has apparently managed to secure the final allocation of cars for itself. All 135 or so remaining cars will be sold exclusively through Gerry Wood Dodge. While Dodge has already sold out of the limited-edition 2017 models, Gerry Wood Dodge put a team together to research and create their own unofficial limited-edition cars. These will be ordered in specific and unique color and option combinations. Dodge offers more than 8,000 colors for the Viper, so picking out a few unused shades couldn't have been too difficult. While these aren't official, it should provide some bragging rights to owners who manage to secure one of the special cars. Despite the exclusivity and hoarding the final few vehicles, Gerry Wood Dodge doesn't plan to add a dealer markup to the car. They claim to never markup cars over MSRP, which seems good for everyone but them. We won't complain. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. It ain't easy keeping a Hellcat steady at 170 mph on ice
Mon, Mar 28 2016The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat you see hit the ice at Arsunda Speed Weekend in Sweden, over two hours north of Stockholm. It's said to be bone stock, save for the studded tires that help it grip on ice. But it apparently takes more than some steel studs and a lead foot to keep it pointed the right way. Just look at how much driver Alx Danielsson has to saw at the wheel to keep the Hellcat from veering off course. Fortunately he seems to have the chops to do so, being not only a native of Sweden (and therefor imbued from birth with otherworldly abilities to drive on ice) but also having won the highly competitive Formula Renault 3.5 Series championship back in 2006. In the end Danielsson hit a top speed in excess of 170 miles per hour, touted as some sort of record, however unofficial (and specific to Dodge Challengers). That's a fair bit shy of the 205 mph that Bentley achieved in the Continental Supersports, but while that model had slightly less power than the Hellcat, it did have the benefit of all-wheel drive – something that could make all the difference in these kinds of slippery conditions.
