Thanks for viewing my Dignified Junk & Homesick Antiques !
Up for bids is my 1979 Dodge Lil Red Express ~ Restored in 2009 from the ground up.
NO RESERVE~ HIGH BIDDER WILL GET IT!
All factory correct , this was originally an Arizona truck, so had no rust to begin with.
I had intended to customize the interior but have not been able to finish due to family illness.
ALL 5 ORIGINAL SLOTTED WHEELS ARE INCLUDED WITH THE TRUCK !
Also have a NOS dash bezel that will go with it, a speedometer, and ignition assembly.
I also have a lot of the original documents from 1979 original purchase; ie~ build sheet, title, etc.
Have all receipts from the restoration; engine built out with all Mancini racing parts
Great daily driver ~ THIS IS A REAL LIL RED, NOT A CLONE !!!!!
only 116,096 miles / 7,000 miles on since rebuild.
Has a frame-mounted tow package <
It will need a new heater/ac switch and bezel. AC is new but has a slow leak somewhere that will need soldered.
Also needs a nice new tuff wheel ! Bed wood is weathered due to Florida sun but was brand new when rebuilt, and would not take much to put a fresh
coat of stain/ spar to bring it back to life..
This has been my daily driver and has been totally faithful !
Very nice, and screaming fast !

Toyota, Lexus dominate KBB's Best Resale Value Awards
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Toyota and Lexus stormed the 2014 Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards, winning a combined 18 categories including best brand and best luxury brand. This marks the third year in a row that both automakers have won the Brand and Luxury Brand resale value awards. In all, Toyota won 11 categories and Lexus won seven.
Honda made a good showing, as well, winning two segments (Accord Plug-In Hybrid and Civic Si) and putting one car on the top-10 Best Resale Value list (CR-V). Chevrolet did even better, winning two segments (with the V6 Camaro and the Corvette) and placing three cars on the top-10-overall list (again, the Camaro and Corvette, plus the Silverado 1500).
The other winners came from Jeep, Dodge, Infiniti, Subaru and Audi. To give you a clearer picture of the Toyota and Lexus domination, their 18 mentions represents more than half of the 34 awards (including the top-10-overall list).
2013 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee
Tue, 12 Mar 2013I can pinpoint the exact moment when I fell in love with this car. It was starting down a nearly straight entrance ramp at 15 miles per hour when I buried the throttle. In a moment, I was thrown back into my seat as the big SRT8's engine came to life with commensurate sound, fury and force, bringing me up to 75 mph in what felt like two blinks of an eye. This thing feels so much quicker than its 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque would lead you to believe. And mashing the right pedal never, ever gets old.
But beyond sheer speed, I found a whole lot to like about the Charger SRT8 during my week with the Pitch Black test car here in Detroit. And while the whole Super Bee kit isn't really my style, it's really easy to overlook those badges for a package that offers so much for so little.

2015 Ford Mustang vs. Camaro and Challenger [w/poll]
Thu, 17 Jul 2014The horsepower wars are tightening among the Detroit Three, as the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger are getting bigger, more powerful, and yes, more fuel efficient.
That came into sharper focus this week as more information was revealed about the most insane Challenger ever - the 707-horsepower Hellcat - followed quickly by Ford's in-depth showcase of the 2015 Mustang in Dearborn.
It's shaping up to be a golden age for enthusiasts, and what's under the hood is becoming more important than ever.
