WOW! Here is what you have been looking for. An all original 1978 Dodge Warlock pick up with only 45,132 actual miles! This truck has never left our county. It was sold new here in town, Belvidere, IL. The original owner kept the truck until December 2000. They traded the truck back in to the Dodge dealer for a new vehicle. The GM of the Dodge dealer bought the truck himself and has owned it since, only putting about 5000 miles on it in the past 13 years. This is one fantastic find. The Dodge Warlock's were only produced three years, 77, 78, and 79. The big brother, the Little Red Express Truck was only made two years, 78 and 79. Warlocks had more options and choices when ordering. They came in either 2 or 4 wheel drive as well as different engine choices and colors. This 2 owner Warlock has the 360 V8 engine with an automatic trans with the shifter on the column. It is 2 wheel drive. This truck does have factory air as well as factory cruise control. It also has the original AM/FM stereo. Everything you see is original. All chrome work is in great shape as well as the grille. The chrome wheels are hard to find and these original ones are in very good condition. The interior is in great condition with no rips or tears as well as the body and bed of the truck. The original wood bed and side stakes are in their original condition also. This truck runs and drives great. Does not smoke at all runnning. The exterior stripes are fading in many places and some areas have tried to been redone. Don't worry, I have a brand new 43 piece stripe kit in the box that goes with the truck. I just wanted to leave it in the condition I got it and let the next owner decide if they want to chage the stripes. I want to list a couple areas that I noticed that might need some attention. The radio is not working. I have not looked into why as well as the wipers will work some times not all the time. Their is a belt/tensioner squeak upon start up then goes away. The driver door has had some work to it, but it is the correct door with all tags still in place. There is a small dent down low on the driver side by the chrome step plate, see photos. Otherwise, this truck is in great condition. I just like to disclose as much information as I know. Please email me or call me with any questions or addtional photos you need. I do have a car dealership, but this truck is not in our inventory. So no extra fees are charged. What the winning bid is is what you pay for the truck! Thank you for looking, Gary Dixon

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles recalls nearly 750k vehicles in two campaigns
Thu, 16 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling a total of 747,817 vehicles in the US in two separate campaigns recently added to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration database.
The first one covers about 434,581 units of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Challenger, Durango, and Jeep Grand Cherokee from the 2011-2014 model years with electric hydraulic power steering, the 3.6-liter V6 engine and a 160 amp alternator, according to FCA. In the affected vehicles, it's possible for the alternator to fail without warning and possibly cause the car to stall. According to the documentation submitted to NHTSA, the automaker began investigating the problem in August 2014 and has found possible evidence of one crash caused by the failures but no known injuries.
Customers will begin receiving notification about the recall next month, and obviously the repairs will be done at no cost to them.
Junkyard Gem: 1963 Dodge Dart two-door sedan
Mon, Mar 6 2017The 1963-1966 Dodge Dart, sibling to the Plymouth Valiant, was sturdy, cheap, and easy to drive, and it sold very well. Here's a worn-but-solid example of the two-door '63 Dart sedan, spotted in a Denver-area self-service wrecking yard. The only transmission choices for the Dart this year were a three-speed manual and an automatic controlled by Chrysler's famous dash-mounted pushbutton shifter. These shifters worked surprisingly well, even when used for road racing. Starting in the 1964 model year, the Dart could be purchased with a 273-cubic-inch V8 engine, but in 1963 Dart buyers had but two engine choices: a slant-6 displacing 170 cubic inches and good for 101 horsepower and a slant-6 displacing 225 cubic inches and making 145 horsepower. This car has the big engine. This is one of the most reliable engines to come out of Detroit, period. The interior is pretty beat, but the metal isn't rusty. You'd think that someone would have rescued this car long before it came to this sorry end, but perhaps Dart restorers only want numbers-matching V8 cars these days. Dodge Grand Caravan reportedly will cease production in 2020
Wed, Jul 24 2019The Dodge Grand Caravan looks like it may finally be reaching its demise next year. A report from Automotive News Canada says the old Dodge minivan will cease production in May 2020. The report cites AutoForecast Solutions as the source of its news. FCA confirmed to us that the van will be going away eventually, but the company is not ready to put an official end date on it yet. For the time being, it looks like the Grand Caravan’s long run will eventually grind to a halt in Windsor, Ontario, the vanÂ’s only production site. With the introduction of the Chrysler Voyager as the budget minivan option from Chrysler, FCA may think it no longer has any use for the outdated Dodge. The Grand Caravan has a starting price of $28,535, whereas the new Voyager is priced from $28,480. ThatÂ’s an almost identical starting point, but we still donÂ’t know what kind of incentives FCA will offer for the Voyager. There are typically big cuts for the Grand Caravan, which have pushed recent average transaction prices down to $24,972. We imagine itÂ’ll be much more difficult for FCA to offer discounts of that magnitude to Voyager shoppers. Still, AutoForecast Solutions told Automotive News it believes FCA will transition folks away from the Grand Caravan. “For the 2020 model year, theyÂ’ll likely run to fleet and then get the consumers to buy the new Voyager,” says Sam Fiorani, vice president of global vehicle forecasting at AutoForecast Solutions. Eliminating the Grand Caravan would be a strong bet on ChryslerÂ’s strategy of splitting the Pacifica into two different model lines. Nearly every month, FCA sells more Grand Caravans than Pacificas. The Pacifica is the far superior minivan to own, but you canÂ’t argue with a cheap price. Once the Grand Caravan is gone, budget minivan buyers will have no choice but to buy a Voyager if they want the cheapest new option out there. Entries from the few other manufacturers that produce minivans are all going to be more expensive than the Voyager. The 2020 Pacifica and Voyager team are slated to reach dealers later this year, but it wonÂ’t be until next year that weÂ’re able to fully take stock of how this plays out for FCA.
