1941 Dodge 1/2 Ton Pick-up Project on 2040-cars
Shenandoah, Iowa, United States
Vehicle Title:Clear
Make: Dodge
Drive Type: Manual
Model: Other Pickups
Mileage: 100,000
Trim: N/A
Very solid 41 Dodge pick-up project for sale. I don't think you're going to find too many 70 year old projects this straight, solid and complete. Original frame with VIN stamped on passengers side, original Dodge VIN/data tag on passenger side door pillar, good clean Iowa title and they all match! Right now the cab is the only thing fastened to the frame. Everything else is loose. Original engine and tranny just lying in place, but head was removed from the engine and it sat outside in the elements. It definitely has water in it and rusted pretty bad. I'm not sure if it's salvageable or not. I'm not going to say I have every piece to make it 100%, but pretty darn close. I have both pieces for front grille, chrome trim for front grille, hood ornament, marker lights for front fenders and chrome trim rings, original headlight buckets (little rust thru on very bottom), all four fenders (only slight rust in very back and bottom of rear fenders), both running boards, tailgate, both bed sides (only rust is on inside and very bottom support braces), original air cleaner, steering column, shifter, front windshield frame, head for engine, gauges for dash, nice hood. I'm probably missing something, but it has very nice sheet metal. I'm missing original bed front. You will not be dis-appointed. The pick-up is sold in as is condition. Please see pictures for condition. Please feel free to email if you'd like to see additional pictures. The pick-up is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. If you are interested in buy it now, please make reasonable offer. I prefer all interested buyers come inspect before buying. Buyer is 100% responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. I will assist with loading. Very reasonable reserve set. This will make somebody a very nice start to a cool street rod/rat rod project. Please do not bid unless you have the funds to follow thru with the transaction. Good Luck!

Dodge Hellcat Widebody delivers Christmas tree at 174 mph
Thu, Dec 21 2017The holidays are here, and so last-minute shoppers are going to be in a serious rush to get all the items they need, especially Christmas shoppers that haven't even put up a tree yet. Those seriously late folks may want to invest in a Challenger Hellcat because apparently they can go an incredible 174 mph with a Christmas tree strapped to the roof. This was discovered by the folks at Hennessey. They got a Hellcat Widebody from Dodge for the little experiment, along with a suction cup mount roof rack from SeaSucker and a real Christmas tree from Lowe's. Then it was off to the Continental Tire test track in Texas to see how fast it could go, which, as mentioned was 174 mph. As you'll see in the video, it takes quite a bit of road to move up from 170 to 174 mph. It's impressive that the tree and roof rack don't seem to budge. And it's all capped off with a huge smokey burnout to the sound of V8 rumble and supercharger whine. It's a fun way to get into the holiday spirit. And we'll look forward to next year when maybe Dodge will give Hennessey a Demon to try out. Related Video:
Dodge celebrates centennial with Charger and Challenger 100th Anniversary Editions
Tue, 19 Nov 2013In 1914, the Dodge brothers went from being a parts supplier to a full-scale automaker, and to celebrate the centennial of this milestone, Dodge will offer special editions of the 2014 Charger and Challenger early next year. Both cars will be sold in limited numbers (although no specific number was given), and these cars will stand out thanks to unique touches like 20-inch wheels, 100th anniversary edition logos and the exclusive High Octane Red Pearl Coat paint job (shown above).
The 100th Anniversary Edition package, which runs $2,200 on the 2014 Charger and $2,500 on the 2014 Challenger, comes with red or black leather seats with a cloud print (for a denim-like look) and metal badges on the seatbacks that read "Dodge Est. 1914," while similar logos are also found on the wheel center caps and front fenders. The instrument gauges are unique to each car, with the Charger getting black gauges and the Challenger getting white gauges, and to enunciate the 100-year anniversary, both cars have red numerals on the speedometer for the 100-mile-per-hour mark.
Finishing off the 100th Anniversary Edition cars, which will be offered on V6 and R/T models, Dodge adds a flat-bottom steering wheel and embroidered floor mats as a part of the package. Scroll down for the full press release for these commemorative models.
Dodge Demon gets official insurance from Hagerty
Tue, Jul 11 2017Hagerty Insurance has been covering enthusiast and classic cars for years, and now it will be offering special policies just for 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon owners – all 3,000 of them in the US and 300 in Canada, if they want. The big advantage to the Hagerty policies will be the Guaranteed Value coverage. Demon owners won't have to haggle about what the car's worth; Hagerty will set the value at the time the policy is issued, so there's no question about coverage should an owner total a Demon. Trust us: At least one owner will total a Demon, and that's a very conservative estimate. Dodge seems to be happy about the arrangement. Tim Kuniskis, who heads up the North American passenger car brands division, said in a statement that, "We didn't build the Demon to be a halo car that never sees the light of day – we want to make sure that Demon owners have access to the insurance they need to get these cars out on the street, for all the Dodge/SRT enthusiasts to see and appreciate their performance." Ordered a Demon and interested in coverage? There's a dedicated hotline for Demon owners at (844) 840-8733, or you can visit Hagerty's site and start a quote online. You're probably wondering if any of these policies will cover you at the strip. So are we. We're asking Hagerty and will fill you in when we have information. Related Video:
