CAR WILL NOT COME WITH A PASSENGER FRONT FENDER!!! The fender on my current SRT-4 is starting to rust. I could swap out the black one if you really want it. Will also come with a fair shape carbon fiber hood and carbon fiber eyelids unless someone buys them separately.
For sale is a wrecked 2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4 Sedan. The car originated in Arizona, and I paid to have it get shipped up to Iowa. The car has only been in winter for a total of one week, at which point I flipped it. It has summer tires with 75%+ tread left, and I underestimated how terrible summer tires are in the winter. As you can see, the carfax would indicate that it was doing very well until the accident. The car stalled out in 5th gear and landed on the wheels, so no engine damage was done. Rolled it going 70 MPH on the highway. The passenger front tire became separated from the rim, but is not damaged in any way. The car was treated very well, regular synthetic oil changes between 3,000 and 5,000 miles. Turbo is in fantastic shape, no odd noises or behavior whatsoever. The damage to the car was purely on the exterior, the frame, suspension, and undercarriage were completely unaffected, as shown in the pictures. Car was getting 22/30 MPG as it was supposed to, so the engine is in fantastic shape. 165 PSI across the board. No grinds or hesitation in any gear, the transmission is perfect. The car still runs/drives perfectly, it could be taken around the block before you buy it. Doesn't look pretty, but it runs and drives perfectly. A/C is cold, heat is hot. Cooling system is flawless. Replaced since I got it at 52k- Spark plugs Plug wires Cam sensor and magnet Air filter Tires @ 52,500 miles Just to give you an idea, here are some recently completed listings for parts on this car (if you were to part it out): Complete motor 90k- $1,600 Tranny w/lsd- $1,200 Seat set (stained)- $300 Rear brake setup- $230 Passenger side door- $125 Passenger side skirts- $100 Trunk lid- $100 Complete carpet set- $150 Door panels- $50 Dashboard/cover- $150 Struts/shocks- $120 Cluster- $70 Keep in mind there are many more parts you could take off as well. Any other questions, just let me know! I can also be reached at 319-429-4125. Ask for Chris. |

2013 Dart GT will hold us over until SRT stokes Dodge's handsome compact
Tue, 08 Jan 2013No, this isn't quite the Dart SRT4 we've been waiting for - and still believe is coming - but as part of its 2013 Detroit Auto Show lineup, Dodge will be showing off the slightly sportier Dart GT seen here.
Building on the already well-equipped Limited model, the GT adds performance enhancements including a more powerful engine, 18-inch aluminum wheels, sport suspension calibration, unique front fascia and dual exhaust. Inside, you'll find perforated Nappa leather seats, a heated steering wheel and front seats, dual-zone climate control, remote start (if you spec the automatic transmission), Chrysler's 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen, a seven-inch TFT display in the gauge cluster, and a whole lot more. Optional goodies include hyper black aluminum wheels, a technology group (pushbutton start, keyless go, rain-sensing wipers, blind spot monitoring and smart-beam headlamps), power sunroof, Sirius radio, Garmin navigation, Alpine premium sound and high-intensity discharge headlamps.
Powering the Dart GT is Chrysler's 2.4-liter MultiAir2 four-cylinder engine producing 184 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. That grunt is sent to the front wheels via a standard six-speed manual transmission, but a six-speed automatic 'box is optional.
The Dodge Demon is leaked in Fast 8 video with Vin Diesel
Thu, Jan 19 2017It's only week two of the twelve-part Dodge Demon teaser roll out, and it already appears the metaphorical Hellcat is out of the bag. A YouTube video featuring Vin Diesel discussing The Fate of the Furious ( Fast 8) has what are almost certainly two Dodge Challenger Demons parked right in the background. So much for three months worth of build up and mystique. The two cars in the video appear to have the new logo affixed to the fender, right where the current Hellcat logo resides. In addition, the wheels and the massive hood scoop both appear to be the same relative shape as the ones briefly flashed in the latest teaser video. While we can't be 100 percent certain this is really a Demon, all the evidence points to yes. Even if this spoiled Dodge's plans, actually seeing the car here makes us even more excited for the full reveal. We still don't know all the final specs, save that it'll be 200 lbs lighter, so there is still some mystery to be had. The Challenger and Charger Hellcat twins, some of the most brazen and brutish machines currently on the road, were already cranked up to 11. The Demon, with its wide fender flares and comically large hood scoop looks makes the standard car look tame by comparison. We can't wait. Stellantis axed the SRT engineer team, but performance isn't going away
Mon, Feb 15 2021Stellantis has broken up the Street & Racing Technology (SRT) engineering team that created over a dozen high-performance vehicles, including the Dodge Charger Hellcat, but the situation isn't as dire as it sounds. The newly-formed company assigned SRT's former engineers to different positions, where they'll continue to make hot rods. "All of the core elements of the SRT performance engineering team have been integrated into our company's global engineering organization," a spokeswoman told enthusiast website Mopar Insiders. She added that integrating SRT's personnel into other brands in the Stellantis portfolio will ensure that the lessons learned from decades of peddling speed will permeate other products. Previously, SRT operated with a high degree of independence. Don't get too excited. Her statement does not necessarily mean that Citroen will begin building cars powered by the Hellcat engine, though a C3 Chat D'enfer sounds absolutely epic. Technology transfer will likely be limited to fields like aerodynamics and thermal management, and the design department might learn a couple of neat new tricks. Dodge will still move forward with the development of its next SRT-branded cars; the decision to dissolve the SRT team will not affect future models, according to the spokeswoman. Whether they'll be powered by a V8 is up in the air, because company boss Tim Kuniskis warned that regulations are killing the eight-cylinder engine. Similarly, Jeep will continue designing high-performance models, like the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. What changes is that the model will be developed and designed by a group of engineers and designers from Jeep, not from SRT. SRT is dead, but performance isn't going away. SRT's demise nonetheless marks the end of an era for Chrysler. The division traces its roots to 1989, when some of the company's brightest minds were brought together to develop the first-generation Dodge Viper. It merged with Team Prowler to form the Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) group, which was renamed Performance Vehicle Operations (PVO) in 2002 and finally dubbed SRT in 2004. SRT has operated as the carmaker's in-house tuner since, its resume includes a diverse selection of cars ranging from the Neon SRT-4 to the 1500 TRX, and it was promoted to a standalone brand led by designer Ralph Gilles in 2011. Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) axed the SRT brand in 2014 but kept the name and the development team. Related video:
