Here we have a 1987 shelby lancer serial number 228, 1 of 400 with five speed cloth interior, 2.2 turbo intercooled Shelby motor. Vehicles interior is in very good condition with no rips or tears also included is the rare factory pioneer stereo system, everything on the vehicle works as it should minus the A/C, which I will be looking at . Exterior wise tires are in good shape, original wheels very good with center caps, vehicle was repainted recently with new decals, new struts and shocks, brakes. Vehicle needs paint on hood fender and nose due to light accident by previous owner with no major damage or salvage title. I have driven the car across NYState and she runs and drives beautiful. Also comes with every bit of paperwork from new with many receipt's for repairs and maintenance, has all Shelby items still intact with original documents from new. Small number of 2013 Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger models recalled
Sun, 24 Feb 2013A small number of units of the 2013 Chrysler 200 (inset) and 2013 Dodge Avenger are being recalled over a broken control valve in the fuel tank assembly. The potential 1,785 sedans were manufactured late last year, and if affected with a broken control valve could suffer from stalling or fuel leakage.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration notes that the recall should begin next month, at which time owners can take their cars to dealers for repair free of charge. The full release with more information is just below.
2015 Dodge Viper getting small increase in power
Tue, 29 Jul 2014The Viper is used to being the most powerful car in the Dodge and SRT stables, but the arrival of the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat means that's no longer the case. The serpentine supercar is, however, reportedly getting a small boost in output for 2015, amounting to all of five horsepower.
The increase was uncovered by Road & Track courtesy of the SAE J1349 certification process to which Detroit's Big Three automakers submit themselves and which reports the Viper's output at 645 hp instead of the 640 it was rated at until now. There are a hundred factors that could have contributed to the relatively mild boost in output (best guess? nothing at all changed...), but we doubt anyone's going to complain about some extra horses under the hood.
The five-horsepower boost brings the Viper that much closer to the 650-hp Chevy Corvette Z06, not to mention the 707-hp Hellcat, but the Viper's impressive power-to-weight ratio ought to mean it'll have little problem keeping up in a straight line - which is just one of the reasons why Chrysler won't shoe-horn the Hellcat into the Viper: as R&T points out, the supercharged engine is too heavy and the blower makes it too tall to fit in the Viper's engine bay.
