1957 DODGE CUSTOM ROYAL LANCER D-500 (not a cornet) My dad and I were working on getting this car completed and life is demanding that we sell it not completed as intended. All of the expensive and hard to get done work has been completed. Car is needing final assembly of finished components to drive. The car is extremely rare being a D-500 performance car. This is an early American muscle car that I wish we could have experienced driving. If you buy it my dad and i would love to take it for a spin when you finish it. One rare option being a Texas car is that it has factory A/C with the much desired 235 Hemi engine.
When we purchased the car the man had done some work on the frame and brakes for restoration. The brakes are off of a wagon so they are the larger version brake assembly. He wanted to make it a D-501 clone. This did not happen except that it has larger brakes. When we built the car we paid for and purchased the best parts and craftsmanship we could afford. The car was a straight Texas car to begin with and did have some rust in the floor boards that was repaired by the body shop. The paint turned out great and still needs to be color sanded and buffed out.
Interior is complete including headliner and carpet. We were able to find the correct fabric with the original style gold thread. The engine and transmission are ready to be installed and have both been professionally rebuilt to the highest of standards by people who were experienced with these type engines. I have most all of the parts. We lost some of the engine pulleys at the powder coater. This is really going to make agreat car for someone. If you have any questions please do not hezitate to give me a call 410 533 5347 cell We invested a lot in the car and hope to get as much as possible back but are also realize it does not always work out that way.

Has Dodge stepped in it again with Scat Pack lawsuit?
Mon, 20 Oct 2014Lawsuits are an unfortunate part of doing business in just about any industry, so the latest complaint filed by a California-based aftermarket firm against Chrysler would seem to be nothing more than business as usual. But this isn't the first time the two companies have sparred over this particular issue.
According to a report from Automotive News, the dispute revolves around the Scat Pack name that Chrysler first offered on the Charger, Coronet, Dart and Super Bee starting in 1968. Scat Enterprises, a manufacturer of crankshafts and other components for Dodges and other vehicles, sued Chrysler for using its name. A few years later the Scat Pack disappeared from the Dodge catalog.
Fast forward to August 2013 when Chrysler applied to register the Scat Pack name anew. The US Patent and Trademark Office turned down Chrysler's application, but the automaker proceeded anyway, unveiling new Scat Packs for the Challenger, Charger and Dart at last year's SEMA show.
Widebody Challenger Hellcat spotted with no camouflage
Mon, May 8 2017Well this is a mightily mysterious muscle car. One of our photographers caught this Dodge Challenger out testing without any camouflage. At first glance it looks like an SRT Demon, since it has the same widebody flares and front spoiler of the hellacious Challenger. However, the hood is from a garden-variety Hellcat (as if such a thing existed...), the rear spoiler has an SRT Hellcat badge, and the wheels don't come from the kitty or the Hellspawn. We have two theories as to what this SRT mishmash may be. Our first is that this is perhaps a next-generation Hellcat that takes advantage of some of the Demon's developments. It could have a more potent engine under the hood, perhaps with the extra fuel pumps and air-conditioned intercooler, along with the Demon's beefier driveline. It would be a way to keep the Hellcat relevant, and a way for people who might miss out on the one-year-only Demon to get the next closest thing. Our other theory is that this is an all-wheel-drive Hellcat. The wide fender flares and chin spoiler appeared on an all-wheel-drive Challenger concept before they made their way to the Demon. And with the introduction of the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, we know that Mopar has an all-wheel-drive system that can handle the grunt of the 707-horsepower Hellcat mill. If an all-wheel-drive Hellcat is in the cards, it would be another way to keep the Hellcat line fresh without too much investment, and would be a treat for fans of the old all-wheel-drive concept. It would also probably be a great seller here in snowy Michigan. Oh, and it would certainly post some amazing 0-30 acceleration times. Related Video:
