If you are in the market for a beautiful 7-passenger Dodge Journey and don't mind a few extra miles if it has been well cared for and serviced then you are going to LOVE my 2009 SXT V-6 model that is a 1-owner southern vehicle that has been serviced at the Dodge dealership and is in great shape inside and out! You need to see this Journey in person to appreciate just how clean it really is, amazing for the miles. It has a clean Autocheck report showing no accidents or problems and it shows that the 1-owner took it to the Dodge dealer for services. It received a great score of 83 points out of an average rating of between 74-82 points so you know it has a great history. It has been in Georgia and Florida it's whole life out of the harsh winters of the north and it shows, there is NO rust and even the underside still looks near new, you won't see that on any northern vehicle. It is spotless inside and out and it is a non-smoker's vehicle so it is very fresh inside with no stains or odors. The exterior looks great with a deep Dodge shine and no dents, scrapes, fade or rust. The aluminum wheels look nice and there are near new matching tires all around to help give it a smooth and quiet ride. The interior too is very clean and all the power options work including the ice cold dual air conditioning and 6-cd stereo. Sometimes you have to play with the cd a bit when you put it in but it works fine. There is third row seating so there is enough room for seven adults if need be and there is also plenty of head and legroom both front and rear. The seats are a very attractive two tone for a nice look. What a pleasure to drive. The peppy V-6 runs smooth as silk with no issues and will deliver very good gas mileage as well. There are no rattles and it is tight as new, obviously well cared for. I'm sure that most of the miles are highway miles, they put on 78k miles the first two years! You'll be forgiven for not having heard about the TV show Defiance - it actually hasn't aired its first episode yet. The new science fiction show about an alien war against Earth in the near future seems like a perfect fit for the SyFy channel, and, apparently one that Dodge saw as a slick marketing opportunity for its Charger sedan.
Here in Chicago, Dodge has given a large corner of its show stand to the Defiance Charger, a car that won't be skipped by any Mad Max fans in attendance at this year's show. The Charger boasts one hell of a gnarly patina under a confusingly welded cage of tube steel, as well as window bars, a grille guard in front, and big, knobby truck tires. There aren't any obvious guns or turrets on the outside of the vehicle, so we can only hope that the characters driving it go well-armed.
Look for the Charger to make its star turn in Defiance when the series premieres on SyFy on April 15 at 9:00 PM EST. Also, there's said to be a Defiance video game in the works, too, so you may get a chance to steer the burly Dodge for yourself. Find a trailer for the show, below, as well.

General Motors isn't the only automaker with ignition switch problems. Chrysler is fighting it too and is now announcing a recall of 695,957 examples worldwide of the Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans from the 2008-2010 model years, plus the 2009-2010 Dodge Journey.
According to a statement from Chrysler, the models have a bad wireless ignition node detent ring in the ignition switch, making it possible for drivers to appear to have the key in the "Run" position but for the spring not to fully engage. It can then slip back to the "Accessory" position and shut the car off. If this happens, the vehicle loses power steering, brake boost and the airbags.
There is some disparity about the number of vehicles affected under this recall. In its statement, Chrysler claims that it covers 525,206 vehicles in the US, 102,892 in Canada, 25,591 in Mexico and 42,268 elsewhere. However, the recall announcement posted by The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration lists an estimated 438,109 vehicles in the US. Chrysler spokesperson Nick Cappa told Autoblog via email that the reasoning for the different figures "will become clear at a later date."

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is showing off a completely redesigned Dodge Charger Funny Car at this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas and it's ready to blow through the NHRA timing lights next year. Initially, the shape might look like any of the other entrants in its class burning through the quarter mile, but this is the first comprehensive rethink for the racecar's aerodynamics since 2006, says Dodge.
Draped in classy red and black Mopar livery, the 2015 Dodge Charger R/T NHRA Funny Car tries to share the front and rear styling with its roadgoing counterpart, plus the scallops along the side, but this racer is all about crossing the finish line first.
The major goals for the redesign included making the body stronger and lighter without sacrificing aerodynamics, and that has been done with materials like Kevlar and carbon fiber. However, engineers have accomplished even more. By moving the cockpit further back, they've increased engine clearance and improved driver visibility.
