I have not sold a vehicle on EBAY, and will therefore be as thorough as possible. This Durango has a clear title, it is in both my wife and my names, no liens (the previous owner did but it was paid in full prior to our purchasing it-- we paid full in cash up front).

When we purchased the vehicle it was due for some maintenance. Here is some of the work done on it recently:
  • New pads, resurfaced rotors and alignment done at 109,035 miles.
  • Oil changes done regularly since we owned it.
  • New waterpump, radiator, thermostat, hoses, radiator cap, belts belt tensioner at 112,393 miles.
  • Tune up done at 114,077 miles.
  • Both differentials and transmission were serviced.
It is a great looking vehicle, but has a few flaws:
  • The driver seat has is torn from general wear and tear- getting in and out.
  • It has remote start, but for some reason it isn't working, we suspect a wiring issue. The remote lock/unlock works.
  • The plastic under the seat, part of the base, is broken. This is a cosmetic issue and the seat works fine.
  • The seats are in great condition aside from a few streaks and blemishes that could be easily steamed out..
  • The top end of the grill has a rumpled look. This is apparently due to a factory flaw according to the previous owner and what we have read on other chrome-finished Dodge grills..
  • The back door has a piece of the plastic cover that is broken off, it is not immediately visible and has no negative effect on anything- again, it is just a cosmetic flaw.
  • The metal shields/ protectors along the bottom panel of either side of the vehicle, are a bit worn and have some tears and chips to them.
  • The 'Check Engine' light is on. It showed the code 'P0308' when we tested it that says the 8th cylinder is misfiring. The vehicle drives fine, but a shudder is noticeable when starting it, or when slowing down to idle revs. In second gear and above, it drives smoother. I am not sure what the issue is and am unsure about what repairs are required. Any repairs would be up to the new owner to make. Again, the vehicle is in running condition.
Here are also a few photos, please feel free to ask any questions. Thank you.

1942 Dodge Carryall from WWII featured on 'Jay Leno's Garage'

Thu, Dec 28 2017

On this episode of Jay Leno's Garage, Leno takes a look at a unique Dodge Carryall, both in its past and present states. The Carryall is a 1942 model restored and modified by Winslow Bent at Legacy Classic Trucks in Wyoming. According to Bent, the truck spent time in Tunisia during World War II. Obviously it's no longer a military vehicle, but Bent explains that he and his crew built the truck to still be extremely durable, since its new owner wanted a support vehicle for classic car rallies around the world and in remote locations. To reach this end, the Carryall's original inline-six has been replaced with an intercooled Cummins 4BT turbocharged diesel four-cylinder. Bent modified the engine to make less power than it could in order to make the engine understressed and longer lasting. In total, it makes only 130 horsepower, but 380 pound-feet of torque. It also features a boxed frame and heavy duty axles. It's plenty practical, too, with a large roof rack, winch, and even an on-board welding setup. But it's not all hardcore upgrades, since it also has air conditioning. Check out all the other cool details and listen to Leno and Bent geek out over leaf springs and intakes in the video above. Canada offloading hundreds of nearly new cars it bought for G7 Summit

Wed, Nov 7 2018

Are you looking for a deal on a lightly used 2018 Chrysler 300C? Do you feel like purchasing several at a time? Do you feel like visiting Canada? If all of these apply, you might be able to catch a pretty decent bargain. The Canadian government is offloading Chryslers and hundreds of other cars it bought for the G7 Summit held in Quebec in the summer, and the cars can be had quite cheaply. Originally, over 600 brand new cars were bought to ferry summit guests around Quebec, some of them in motorcades, necessitating the choice of very official-looking black on black 300C models with tinted windows. The RCMP said it turned out to be more affordable to buy the vehicles than to rent or lease them, but it still didn't come cheap for Canada. The bulk purchase price of all the cars exceeded $23 million CAD, and just $6.3 million has been recouped so far through selling 167 vehicles, as narcity.com reports. And there are still a bunch of cars for sale, posted on the GCSurplus.ca website. Take a look at the aforementioned Chryslers that were put up for auction yesterday: There are multiple 300Cs on offer with the starting bid of $25,343 Canadian and barely over 1,000 miles on the clock; the purchase price of a new, Canadian-spec 300C without motorcade modifications is over $42,000. Chevrolet Suburbans are less cheap, as the minimum bid on them is $53,428, but they appear nicely loaded with similarly low mileage and 4WD. There are also bulk deals, like a five-car pack of police-specification Dodge Chargers for a combined $133,000 if you can get them for the minimum bid. Other, less interesting but unquestionably fully serviceable vehicles include Toyota Siennas (109 were originally bought), Ford Escapes, Mitsubishi Outlanders and Dodge Journeys. You can browse the cars here. Related Video: News Source: Narcity.comImage Credit: GCsurplus.ca Weird Car News Chrysler Dodge Car Buying SUV Sedan
