This 7 passenger Dodge Durango has been an excellent vehicle for our family for since 2002 but sadly its no longer needed. We are the 2nd owner and have had it since 2002.  It runs very well and accelerates strong.  The paint is amazing,  the gloss looks like new.  I will try to capture it in the pics.  I have never seen factory paint this good and durable.   Its a great looking reliable truck and always has been.  Its been well cared for as are all vehicles I have ever sold.   The only other issue other than those mentioned above is that we have noticed few times over the last couple years when driving on the highway it hesitates one time for a split second,  like someone turned the key off and back on for a half second.   A google search seems to indicate a sensor needs replacement but my mechanic said he doesnt see anything worth bothering with since it has been so infrequent.

This truck isnt perfect but I cant imagine a nicer, more cared for R/T, and I am very critical of vehicles.  There is a little wear and tear but far less than most trucks this age. It is not the average 2000 Truck, if you need a great 7 passeneger SUV or you always wanted one but couldn't afford the original $35,000.00 sticker price, now is your chance.

You are welcome to see and drive the truck in person.  Its located near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.  Auction may be ended early if the truck sells through other sources and the mileage may increase very slightly if test driven.  We are okay with shipping as long as you make the arrangements.   Comes with original owners manuals, 2 remote keyfobs and keys and a full set of Chrysler factory service manuals. We can help deliver within parts of DC, Baltimore, Delaware area.   Good Luck!!!

To clarify some questions:

If you would like additional pictures send me your email and I will get them to you. nickastech@gmail.com

-  The stainless steel door sill plates were installed by me, they were slightly customized but look as if they came from the factory.
-  The pictures are not great and I will try to post better ones this weekend,  my neighbor was burning leaves and the smoke screwed us up.
-  The tires have about 500-600 miles on them
-  The brakes, rotors, caliper were replaced less than 25 miles ago.
-  The water pump and belt were about 1200 miles ago.
-  Now that I have looked closer the one pic that is a close up of the drivers door is trying to show the 2 door dings.  No chips there, just dimpled.
-  The rear bumper has a spot where it got bumped, you can see it in the rear end picture. It has been touched up and you probably wouldn't know its there if I didn't tell you
-  If you look closely there is a mark on the passenger rear wheelwell moulding right where it meets the rear bumper.  Because of the location and the shape it doesnt show much.
-  There is a 2" bald spot on the floor carpet under the rear mat,  I believe its from some battery acid years ago.
-  The drivers mat is showing some wear.
-  There is some typical front bumper highway abrasion when you look closely.  but much less than average.
-  Exhaust is stock.
-  Windshield was replaced a while back because of a chip/crack.

CES 2022 was huge for EVs | Autoblog Podcast #711

Fri, Jan 7 2022

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder. CES took place this week, and there were some nice electric surprises from automakers, especially General Motors. John has been driving the Ram 1500 Power Wagon, as well as what seems to be its polar opposite, the electric Mini Cooper SE. Greg talks about the differences between the Acura TLX A-Spec long-termer (which is back in the shop) and the Type S loaner that's filling in for it. John's also got some interesting thoughts on leather interiors. Finally, the editors reach into the mailbag and help a repeat customer decide on a suitable replacement for a 2008 Lexus GX 470 in this week's Spend My Money segment. Dodge Dart falls short of Consumer Reports Recommended, Caddy XTS and Lincoln MKS, too

Thu, 22 Nov 2012

The Dodge Dart, Cadillac XTS and Lincoln MKS all failed to earn a "Recommended" rating from Consumer Reports. When it came to the compact Dart, the organization's testers thought the vehicle offered a quiet cabin, solid-feeling chassis and nimble suspension, but the new model ultimately fell short of the coveted rating due to powertrain issues. The institute's reviewers found the base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to be underpowered and noted "drivability issues" when the available turbocharged 1.4-liter four was paired with the optional dual-clutch transmission (some of our editors disliked it paired with the six-speed manual). CR also dinged the latter powerplant for sounding "raspy." For what it's worth, we think the forced-induction engine offers an excellent and playful exhaust note, but that's just us.
As for the XTS, CR lauded the car for its luxurious cabin, but the vehicle's experience was dulled by its finicky CUE infotainment interface. Overall, the big Cadillac scored much higher than its cross-town rival from Lincoln. While testers found the American luxury sedan to offer a quiet ride and quality fit and finish, they felt the MKS delivered a "cramped driving position, ungainly handling, uncomposed ride, and limited visibility." Ouch. At the end of the day, both cars fell short of rivals from Japan, Germany and Korea. Check out the full press release below with more details, along with CR's musings on the Chevrolet Spark and Lexus ES.

Dodge designer on yellow plastic splitter guards: 'I wish they would take them off'

Mon, Oct 7 2019

About a year ago, Dodge began placing yellow strips of plastic on the leading edge of Charger and Challenger front splitters to prevent damage during transport from plant to dealer. Dodge embossed "To Be Removed By Dealer" into the plastic, but those instructions weren't always followed. By summer of 2018, so many owners had left the tabs on, or reinstalled a discarded set, or bought a set on eBay for $100 or more, that factions broke out. Some thought the protectors looked cool, some thought they looked foolish, some thought it didn't matter either way. Now Dodge and SRT lead designer Mark Trostle has stepped in with his thoughts, those being, "I wish they would take them off."  Trostle made the remarks at the end of a video by Canadian auto scribe Brian Makse that otherwise dove into the design and technology on the 2010 Charger Widebody. Part of the designer's remarks related to aesthetic aspects — designers are paid to be precious about every line they draw, after all. "When we did the sketch for the Charger and Challenger," he said, "it never had yellow strips on it," and, "To me, as a designer, it ruins the lines of the car." He had a functional reason as well, though: "You're just ruining the paint!" The paint issue convinced Tyler Grant, the Internet sales manager at a Dodge dealer, to make a Facebook post in April this year requesting owners remove the splitter guards. Grant wrote that because the guards aren't specifically molded to fit perfectly, dirt and moisture get between the plastic and the splitter and mar the clear coat or paint, illustrated by a scuffed example that had been driven just 18 miles with the protectors on. He ended with, "Please, on behalf of your splitter AND its paint, take off the splitter guards." Despite forum chatter, splitter-shaming Facebook photos, and Facebook groups like "Hey Pal, You Forgot to Take Your Splitter Guards Off," it appears too late for the protector color to curb (get it?) the trend. Owners have already dealt with the dirt issue by putting protective tape on the air dam, others have painted the spilitter guards to match the car, and the owner of a vintage Dodge pickup ran yellow tape across the width of his front bumper in an attempt to join the party.  In the Makse video, Trostle said that the automaker would soon be rolling out a "new fashionable purple color" for the protectors. "We'll see if that one takes off," he said. "I hope it doesn't."
