Hello,
I'm the proud owner of this 1974 Dodge Dart Sport, with a 318-V8, Automatic Trans, Air Condition (not working but all there), Power steering, Power disc brake, and fold down rear seat. I'm the second owner and just bought it a year ago, it only had one owner from 1974 until 2012 thats 38 years, and it was a little old lady! Seriously, and I got the original title from 1974 I copied it before I had to turn it into DMV. the car only has 106,000 (5-digit speedo reads 06,000) original miles on it. When I put the new tags on I started to peal off the old tags off the original blue California plates and found the original 1974 tag underneath them all! Of course I wasn't going to cover it up so I swapped the plates around to display the original 74 tag on the front and the new tags in the back. I even have the original build sheet and owners manual!

This car is 100% rust free! It really is in amazing condition for its age. It has a couple small dents/dings but nothing major. The original paint still shines up. All the body lines and gaps are nice since it has never been apart or in any major accidents. the only thing I've done to it, is replace the vinyl top (was white) because it was peeling (absolutely 0 rust have pics to prove) and I had the front seat recovered because it was torn. Everything else is completely original down to the E78-14 Spare tire!

Unfortunately I have too many projects and I need to let one go. I was planning on modifying the car, so I have a lot of high performance parts That are NOT included in this auction, but will be offered for sale to the buyer separately if they desire. The gas guage and A/C are the only things not working. This car can be driven anywhere in My opinion as-is, but some new belts or hoses wouldn't hurt if your driving it really far. The tires are like new!

Now for the legal stuff..
The car is sold as-is and is used, everything stated above is My opinion and that can very greatly from person to person, for that reason I highly suggest coming to view the car in person before you buy it if you can, if you can't then you can have it inspected by a 3rd party or at the very least if you would like I have lots more pictures and can send them to you buy request if you give Me your email address.

Thanks for looking, and if you have any further questions please ask a question through ebay or you can call or text Me at 818-919-OI97 (If I'm unavailable please leave a message and I will return your call a.s.a.p.)

Please check out this video of the car on youtube below...

Sorry that it's not clickable, your going to have to copy and paste it into your browser.

Also I will be adding another video and/or pics of the undercarriage tomorrow 10-22-13
Thanks.

Chrysler readying Hellcat V8 with Viper-like power

Tue, 21 May 2013

A monstrous supercharged V8 engine could be in store for Chrysler and SRT products, if recent rumors are to be believed. Allpar is reporting that the forced-induction V8 - Chrysler's first, if this goes down - could make its debut this summer.
The story goes that the Hellcat would be based on a 6.2-liter Hemi engine, rather than on the existing 5.7- or 6.4-liter versions of the company's vaunted mill. In any case, the general consensus is that the motor will have gobs of power. Modest estimates call for between 500 to 570 horsepower, with some outliers predicting a figure as high as 600 hp. That figure would put the output would place the Hellcat awfully close to that of the 640-hp V10 in the SRT Viper, too. Allpar contends that a slightly lower powered version would allow Chrysler to keep costs below that of the more powerful Ford Shelby GT500, which might be a sweet spot.
The Hellcat could debut in a number of SRT products. SRT versions of the Charger, Challenger and 300 are all up for grabs, as is the rumored SRT Barracuda.

Cars.com runs 11-second quarter with Dodge Charger Hellcat

Mon, Jun 1 2015

The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and its Challenger sibling are two of the heroes of the modern performance world. With a headline-grabbing 707 horsepower from a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, their output even shames many supercars. But how quick can one really cover a quarter mile? Cars.com recently decided to find out by taking a Charger Hellcat to the drag strip to see if the sedan lived up to Dodge's 11-second claims. The results were quite impressive. After 13 quarter-mile runs of adjusting variables like the tire pressures and the car's various electronic aids, the Charger Hellcat managed a pass in 11.03 seconds at 126.61 mph – the pinnacle result of the day. This car was mechanically stock and wore the optional Pirelli P Zero tires. According to Cars.com, other quick sprints reached 11.09 seconds and 11.1 seconds, which even beat the site's 11.41-second best from a Challenger Hellcat last year. Getting the Hellcat's prodigious power down without losing traction was a challenge, even on the summer tires. Cars.com thought it had a run that could have dropped below 11 seconds, but then the wheels spun. Using the factory-recommended pressures, the Charger Hellcat was no still slouch with an 11.27-second time recorded, but taking things down to 25 psi proved the quickest at the strip. We already knew that the Charger Hellcat was a wonderful vehicle for eating up huge gulps of asphalt at high speeds and could verify its 204-mile-per-hour top speed (quite a bit faster, incidentally, than the Ferrari California T's 196 mph top-speed). Apparently, the 11-second quarter-mile claim is just as accurate. Also, for any curious owners, the Cars.com story divulges many of the tweaks required to reach this seriously quick time. Barracuda's Dodge branding no biggie, but what about engines?

Thu, Aug 27 2015

Rumors about a revival of the Barracuda nameplate have been circulating for years now, though which brand it might fall under has been a bit of a mystery. Initial speculation had the car labeled an SRT product, but that acronym has since returned to its former role as a sub-brand for top-performance Mopars. Thanks to leaks from a recent FCA dealership event, we know the Barracuda is back on the table but will be sold under the Dodge umbrella, a move that has been generating a bit of ire from Pentastar fanatics, as the car was originally part of the defunct Plymouth brand. Given what's known about the new model, however, the badge is the least of my concerns about the new car. Let's start with the re-branding itself. This isn't the first time Chrysler has shuffled models around to different brands. The current-generation Viper spent two years as the flagship model under the SRT banner, only to return to Dodge for 2015 when SRT resumed its former role as a sub-brand. Years ago, the Neon was sold as a Plymouth, a Dodge, and a Chrysler model, depending on where you shopped for one. When Plymouth ceased to exist, the last few years of Prowler production got Chrysler badges instead. Then there's the new Jeep Renegade, a model whose name was born out of a trim level. The Barracuda might not turn out to be a muscle car in the way we currently define them. Further examples of naming liberties taken throughout automotive history could fill a book, but suffice it to say that these days a model's name has very little to do with the vehicle itself or any legacy it might have. The Barracuda name might be a particularly sacred cow with enthusiasts, but to me, a much bigger concern is the fact that the car might not turn out to be a muscle car in the way we currently define them. News from the Fiat Chrysler dealer briefing earlier this week indicates that when the next Charger debuts it will share its platform with the Barracuda, much the way the Charger and Challenger are twinned now. One difference is that the Barracuda is tipped to be offered as a convertible, while the modern Challenger is tintop-only. The Charger and Barracuda will use the rear-drive platform developed for Alfa Romeo's new Giulia, itself designed as a BMW M3 fighter both from a dimensional and dynamic standpoint; the Barracuda is expected to be slightly smaller than the current Challenger.
