Hello
we have grandmas ( for real my grandma I am 47 now) dodge dart with 36 k miles. it is in really good shape generally. it has been stored for 20 years. it has a slant 6 auto with airconditioning. two door blue metallic . all complete. has some Only rust on rear lower quarters . Car is not a rusty car. Not your typical Illinois car!  garage most of its life. Underneath looks really good , it was heavily undercoated so the lines exhaust system all looks good. the tail pipe after muffler needs to be replaced. This car can run and drive rather easily. Engine is free never froze. radiater was still green. There are like new tires smaller in height then original. We did have the torsion bar changed as it broke when grandpa had it. This is a light restore needed. vinyl top is cracked and a couple of seams are split on seats but all original and really nice. all four windows move great , no body damage otther then rust on bottom of rear fenders. I had ran this car while in the garage ten years ago to pull up on trailer to move to 2nd home, but the gas had gone bad. carb has all new parts but will need to be set up correctly to run. This car was running and driving fine when Grandpa passed and Grandma couldnt drive anymore. Still has the chicago stickers on the windows. i think from the 90s will have to look again. You wont find a nicer original Dart swinger for this price here in chicagoland. This car has been sitting stored for a long time. Gas went bad will need a tuneup to get going. I did put a new starter in it to make sure it turned over and it wants to start but needs carb set properly . But I drove it last so I know it will run and drive well. Its a slant six it of course it will!  best engine they ever made. It has four new tires on it ,not the original type but perfect to use/move the car. Original rims and caps.  This car is garage found fresh and complete!  Paint is good with exception of trunk lid was repainted poorly but original  paint is still underneath. Front left corner has some lifting on very top corner may have had some minor work there.  there are door dings and scratches typical for its age and original unmolested condition.  Truly a grandmas car.

Will not take much to get it on road.  I suspect an evening of someone that knows how to set the float and tune and it will pur like it did when I moved it from Chicago to Libertyville 8 years ago.

Here is the history..
I bought thier house after Grandma passed 8 years ago and this was in the garge in chicago. I gave it to my son as he is turning 16 but he has his eyes on my dodge truck . if he can sell this I will let him have mine. Very good looking car! and with the new models out now , its only gonna jump up in price like the camaros etc did.   willing to take trades  4x4 trucks,Dodge ram 4x4 pickup( is what my kid wants) Great investment! This will only go up in value not down like most things! Keep that in mind!

prefer cash. thankyou pics to come soon
This is over 40 years old and a classic in very good shape for its age and location. I have had many good offers but they did not spark our interest enough. If its a trade it will have to be something that is equal in value. No rust buckets or crazy high miles. must be a decent good condition running/looking 4x4 extended cab Dodge Ram pickup. 360 or maybe 318.

We do reserve the right to end this auction early as it is advertised locally.  If someone comes up with a nice red, black 99 and up Dodge ram 1500,2500 ext cab 4x4 it will be gone.  I have the original clear title.

again this is all original all numbers matching been in our family I think for its entire life, just seen pics of it new with proud grandpa and my father next to it.  both R.I.P    Dodge lives on!

STARTING BID .99 CENTS  NO RESERVE BID TO WIN!!!

Ask all questions before you bid or buy. This beautiful storage fresh car will need to be trailered it is not a daily driver but certainly was and could be easily. This was a Chicago car in the city so doesn't have a lot of miles we lived up here and they only drove out twice as that was TOO far to drive for them.  There is no warranty it is being sold honestly and with all good intentions from our family as is as shown.  don't pass it up you wont be disappointed and you have a great chance to get this car at a great price.  Bid to win.  Questions welcomed.   Do not expect to work on it in my driveway .Send a flatbed or rent a trailer for 50 bucks from uhaul . It does move freely and everthing seems to work. Just needs a little tlc to get it started. Garage was dry .More pics to come when the the snow is gone.  thank you

2014 Dodge Durango Ron Burgundy ads already have 2.7M views [w/videos]

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

The guy who once made the Dodge Stratus a punchline of sorts is now a spokesman for the 2014 Dodge Durango, and the move appears to be paying off handsomely for Dodge. Will Ferrell, acting as 1970s-era TV news personality Ron Burgundy, has teamed up with the automaker for co-branded advertisements between the refreshed 2014 Durango and Ferrell's new movie, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Like Ferrell's fictional character, the ads are outrageous, flamboyant and a bit random. They're also successful: Automotive News says that more than 2.7 million people have already watched the videos since they debuted on October 5.
Those views are similar to the numbers that AN's top viral video of the year (e.g. Volkswagen's "Get Happy" Super Bowl ad) received, but there will eventually be as many as 70 videos comprising the Burgundy-Durango spots. According to the report, the videos were created primarily as a viral campaign online, although some are airing on television, too. For Dodge's part, the cost of the videos was significantly lower than a usual television campaign thanks to the fact that Ferrell wasn't paid for the spots since they were made in cooperation with promotional efforts for his new movie.
We've already posted a few of the videos in our previous post, but scroll down for several more - and head over to Adweek for a little added background on how these spots came to be.

Values snowball for legendary Tucker Sno-Cats, latest toys of the super rich

Fri, Jan 5 2018

Here's a fun-sounding vehicle perfect for the cold and snow that's currently gripping much of North America. Tucker — no, not that Tucker — just marked its 75th anniversary making the Sno-Cat, its orange-painted, four-tread snow vehicles that have inspired backcountry skiers, collectors — and increasingly, the super rich. Bloomberg in a recent story writes that demand for the Medford, Ore.-based company's products is soaring on demand from the wealthy, who need a way to get to their backcountry mountain retreats. They're also in demand from collectors and gearheads who also love snow, like two anonymous collectors who are believed to have amassed more than 200 vintage Sno-Cats. The value of vintage models has reportedly tripled in the past five years to well over $100,000 for a fully restored rig. Tucker Sno-Cat Corp. claims to be the world's oldest surviving snow vehicle manufacturer, launched by E.M. Tucker in 1942 out of a desire to design a vehicle for traveling over the kind of deep, soft snow found in the Rogue River Valley of his childhood. It was four Tucker Sno-Cat machines that helped English explorer Vivian Fuchs and his 12-man party make the first 2,158-mile overland crossing of Antarctica in 1957-58. While many of the company's competitors either shuttered or adapted to serving ski resorts with wider, heavier treads, Tucker has stuck to its formula of making lightweight vehicles to travel over deep snow. Many Tuckers use Chrysler's flat six-cylinder engine, or its Dodge Hemi V8 for larger Sno-Cats, mounted rear or centrally, with basic, no-frills aluminum cabins. Sno-Cats all have four articulating tracks that are independently sprung, powered and pivoted at the drive axle. Track options come in three different types: conventional steel grouser belt track, rubber-coated aluminum grouser belt track, and one-piece all-rubber track. Steering is hydraulically controlled by pivoting the front and rear axles for smooth movement over undulating terrain with minimal disturbance of the ground cover. The company today makes 75 to 100 Sno-Cats a year for customers including the U.S. military, oil-drilling crews in cold places like Alaska and North Dakota, and utilities. But demand is so high that it's launched a profitable service reselling and refurbishing old machines. E.M. Tucker's grandson, Jeff McNeil, now head of this division, scours Google Earth for abandoned Sno-Cats rusting in backyards that he might be able to acquire and fix up.
