Selling my beautiful 1971 Doge Demon that is a proven show winner, this car has won many best in show, best Mopar. It always comes home with a top award. Starting with an engine bay that you could eat off, that sits around a solid 440 BB, Holey 4 barrel, Dougs Header, dual exhaust. The paint is unbelievable Sublime Green, everybody loves the paint, the body is perfectly straight. A fiberglass 6 pak hood is installed but the original steel hood is included and is painted the same Sublime green and black to match the car. The tires sit on Riddler rims 17s in the front 18s in the back. The engine is bolted up to a 11 1/2 clutch and pressure plate mated to a 4 speed with a pistol grip shifter, this car is an original Hurst equipped car. The rear is a 8 3/4 with 390 posi gears. The chrome all around is in great shape. It has the original Radio, but it does not play, an aftermarket sound system with CD player has been installed. It still has the original bench seat, there are a few flaws in the stitching, my interior guy said a few hundred would take care of it but it still shows great. This is a show car but it is road worthy, it drives down the interstate with no problem, I usually do drive it to car shows up to 2 hrs from home. I have described it well but please come and look at it or your representative before bidding, you will be very impressed! Dodge and Jeep recalling 895k SUVs for possibility of headliner fires
Fri, 11 Jul 2014Dodge and Jeep are announcing recalls of a total of 895,000 Durango and Grand Cherokee models worldwide from the 2011 through 2014 model years. There's a possibility that the wiring in the sun visor can short circuit and cause a fire. It specifically affects vehicles built between January 5, 2010, and December 11, 2013, and there are approximately 651,000 of them in the US, 45,700 in Canada, 23,000 in Mexico and 175,000 outside of North America.
Screws that fasten the sunvisor to the headliner may pierce wires in the visor, if the part has been removed or serviced, potentially causing a fire risk. If the wires short circuit, they could overheat and potentially combust. The automakers report three injuries caused by this defect, and according to the investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "there may be a total of 52 unique fire incidents."
To fix the problem, Dodge and Jeep will inspect the vehicles for suspect wiring, and all of the models, whether damaged or not, will get a new sun visor spacer with a wire guide to stop the possibility of short circuits. According to the automakers' announcement, "this condition is not present in vehicles which have not had the headliner or vanity mirror serviced." They will notify affected owners, and repairs will begin in August.
Subaru Legacy pitted against Roadkill project cars
Fri, 05 Sep 2014There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.

Fri, 01 Nov 2013There are lots of ways to celebrate an important birthday, and all of them are well deserved. You can throw a big party, buy yourself something nice, or - if you're the altruistic type - do something for others in need. The latter is how Chrysler has opted to mark the 30th anniversary of its Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country.
Together with hunger-advocacy organization Canstruction, the Chrysler Foundation has built a full-scale replica of the Grand Caravan out of 30,000 food cans in the square at the corner of Yonge and Dundas in Toronto, a ways down the highway from where the real vans are built in Windsor. The sculpture was built over the course of 10 hours by 30 volunteers and was displayed earlier this week.
Now the installation is being taken down, and the cans of food are being donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank, which will assemble them into 2,000 food baskets to be distributed to those in need through its network of 200 food banks across the Canadian metropolis.
