Up for auction is a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger, 2-door hardtop sports coupe. NO RESERVE!! Great project car for restoration, street machine, Pro-touring, or Drag race car. This car needs a complete restoration. It was originally a 340 V-8 with automatic transmission with column shift. There is no engine or transmission included with this car. The body has some rust. It will need front and rear floor pans. The unibody structure and frame rails appear to be solid and have no apparent collision damage. The doors are solid. Fenders are useable, bot have some rust on lower rear corners and some dents that will need straightening. Quarter panels are original and have some rust damage and some collision damage. The car originally had a vinyl top and there is rust damage where the roof and quarter panel seams meet. There is some rust damage in the trunk floor where the spare tire goes. Gas tank needs replaced. All glass is in the car. The windshield has a wiper mark on it. There are no seats or any other interior items. There are no gauges, instrument panel, or radio. If you don't see it in the pictures, I don't have it. The car has an Illinois Salvage title. Please check with the DMV in your state to see if you can purchase this car, before you bid on it. Car is being sold "As Is" with NO warranty. I have the car advertised locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. If you have any questions, please ask. Dodge Viper ACR reportedly green lit [w/video]
Fri, Feb 6 2015The Dodge Viper might be getting a little more venomous in the near future thanks to a return of the performance-honed ACR trim. According to an anonymous source leaking the info to Allpar, the version would go into production in July as a 2016 model year vehicle. FCA US showed a concept for a future ACR (pictured above) at the 2014 SEMA Show that sported carbon fiber parts for the front splitter and dive planes, plus a picnic-table-sized rear wing. The body also received ducts at the rear to shoot cool air to the differential. A set of 15.4-inch carbon-ceramic brake rotors also brought things to a halt in a hurry. The company promised all the aero pieces were sculpted in the wind tunnel to give the coupe even more downforce. To shed weight, engineers chucked the radio, speakers, carpet and sound deadening out of the interior, and they replaced many bits with even more carbon fiber. All of the tweaks are necessary because the ACR moniker carries serious cachet for the Viper at the track, especially at the Nurburgring. One reportedly did a 7:22 lap around the 'Ring in 2008, and another improved that further to 7:12 in 2011. Autoblog reached out to FCA US for comment about the possibility for the hotter Viper, but the company wasn't willing to comment about any possible, future projects. Related Video:

Now he's returning to the franchise for an interview with Dennis McCarthy, the vehicle coordinator on the last five Fast and Furious films, plus a close look at the custom off-road Charger that's one of the automotive stars in Furious 7. Given his resume, when McCarthy admits this is his new all-time favorite vehicle from the franchise, it really means something. Don't worry. McCarthy is careful not to spoil any of the film's action while he shows off the Charger and Shaw's fast attack vehicle that takes on the Dodge. McCarthy does reveal the one car that he still dreams to build for the series, and it's something that every fan should see. This looks like a fantastic blockbuster movie season for anyone that loves to watch cars crash and explode on the big screen. Furious 7 is in theaters right now, and based on the trailer, it promises the biggest stunts ever from the long-running franchise.
