1969 Dodge Dart Swinger 340 for sale.  It is an original 340 car.  I have an original broadcast sheet for the car.  The car currently has a 360 roller cam motor with approx. 500 miles on it.  The original 340 will go with the car.  The car has the matching number 727 auto transmission and 323 Sure Grip in the car.  The car is a magazine cover car from 2008.  The car was fully restored except the paint and the seats.  The paint is R4 red and was nice enough to color sand and buff.  The engine compartment and trunk were painted and are perfect.  All the chrome and stainless were redone or polished.  It appears that the seats are the original. They are very nice.  They were nice enough that they were not replaced.  The steel wheels are power coated to match the car.  The car has red line tires with less than 10,000 miles.  I looked for a nice A Body for about 18 months.  I actually flew to North Carolina, Colorado, Oregon and Arizona to look at other cars before buying this one.  I found it was difficult to find a nice car that had no rust damage and was not modified where it could not be easily corrected.  This car is completely original looking with no rust repair and no holes drilled anywhere.

Below is a listing of some of the items on the car:

Power steering

Power brakes (front disk)

Custom radiator in the original core

TTI headers and 2 1/2 inch exhaust system

Grant tuff wheel (original wheel come with the car)

Alpine am/fm CD player with Ipod connection (hidden in the glove box)

Custom kick panels with front speakers

Rear speakers with a bass tube

Auto Gauge gauges (under the dash)

Original gauges have been refinished

Currently has a 360 motor with approx. 500 miles with:

JE pistons

Eagle rods

Edelbrock aluminum heads (with $500 of port work)

Custom push rods

Crane solid roller cam

Comp roller rockers

Edelbrock Air Gap Intake

Mopar performance distributor

Holley 780 (brand new and built to work with the motor)

Powermaster adjustable starter

I have all the receipts for the motor.  It was built by the Corvette Shop in Costa Mesa who builds all my motors.  Scott Jones builds great motors.

This is a super nice driving car.  Idles and runs perfect.  Drive this car anywhere.  You will not be disappointed.

Dodge reveals a few of the goodies in the Demon crate

Tue, Mar 14 2017

One of the teaser trailers for the eagerly anticipated Dodge Challenger Demon featured a big crate full of goodies for the car. As with the car, though, Dodge was a bit coy about what was inside, simply saying there were 18 items, consisting of tools and parts. Now we know what tools the car gets, and they're some very nice Snap-On pieces. All of the tools and accessories are branded with the Demon logo. And the tools included should be perfect for easy tire changes at the track. Specifically, the tools include a hydraulic jack, cordless impact wrench with charger, torque wrench, and a tire pressure gauge. There's also a fender cover to protect the paint when working under the hood, and a nice carrying bag with the Demon emblem on the side. And, naturally, all of the tools are limited-edition units made specifically to accompany the Demon. If you want to do anything more involved than wheel swaps, you'll need to supply a few tools of your own. But this should be good for the weekend drag racer or autocross driver who wants to drive down to the course on street tires, then throw on the sticky rubber at the track. Also, as you may have noted, these tools only constitute six items in Dodge's count, leaving 12 others that must be car parts. We know that among the parts are some factory Demon wheels, and items that Dodge describes as "Direct Connection Performance Parts" and the "Demon Track Pack System." Details on these remain scarce, but they will probably be revealed closer to the car's debut date of April 11. Related Video:

Dodge CEO and Gas Monkey Garage dissect the 10-second Challenger Hellcat

Fri, 11 Jul 2014

So far, whenever we've seen the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT with its 707-horsepower, supercharged Hellcat V8, the muscle car has been smoking its tires. Dodge is finally proving that the SRT can do more than ruin perfectly good sets of rubber, though. In it's latest video, company CEO Tim Kuniskis hands the Hellcat off to the guys from Gas Monkey Garage to show how quickly the automaker's most powerful model can make it down the drag strip.
Of course, the only fitting contender to race against Dodge's latest top muscle car is its grandpa - a Hemi-powered 1971 Challenger, in this case. Before getting to the main event, the hosts also show off some of the SRT's unique features like the blanks in the grille that feed the intercoolers. We'll go ahead and spoil that the Hellcat makes its pass in the 10-second range, and the video admits the tires on the production version would take just a touch longer to cover the quarter-mile. However, you have to watch film to see just how quick it actually goes. Scroll down to see a classic example of American muscle drag racing against its modern legacy.

Dodge Challenger Shaker cars get Shakedown package stripes

Thu, Mar 8 2018

In 2016, Dodge brought a custom 1971 Dodge Challenger to the SEMA show called the Shakedown. It melded modern Challenger parts with the classic model's body, and did so almost seamlessly. It of course featured a shaker hood scoop, and it also had a set of stripes to one side that gradually decreased in size to give the feeling of vibration and movement. The reception was clearly good, because Dodge has created a set of stripes just like those on the show car for modern shaker Challengers and made them available in a package with the Shakedown name. The Shakedown package is new for 2018 and available only on Challengers with the shaker hood scoop. These include the R/T Shaker, R/T Plus Shaker, and 392 Scat Pack Shaker. Just like on the concept, the stripes are all to one side and wrap around the hood scoop. The only difference is that they're all one color, whereas the '71 custom car had one stripe in red. In addition to the stripes, the package adds white-face gauges and an upgraded Alpine audio system. On R/T and R/T Plus models, this system has six speakers with a 275-watt amplifier, while the system on the Scat Pack has nine speakers with a 506-watt amplifier. The cost of the Shakedown package is $995, and it's available with any color of Challenger Shaker. And on the topic of colors, Dodge has also revived Plum Crazy and B5 Blue for 2018 Chargers and Challengers. Those colors will be available on any Charger or Challenger regardless of trim level.
