     I am auctioning my 1966 Dodge Dart 2 door Sedan.   It has new interior (seat covers, carpet, headliner, door panels) new paint (exterior and interior; no engine bay), New Crager rims with New Bias ply Nostalgic BFG Silvertown and M & H Racemaster tires (only about 400 mile on tires) , rebuilt carburetor, alternator, water pump etc.. It has an inline 225 slant 6 cylinder engine which runs like a clock and gets killer mileage. The transmission is a 3 speed automatic. The paint is very nice but not perfect as I was building this car as a driver, not a show car.  The engine bay and trunk compartment are still the origional red color.  The Dart has little to no rust on it which you can see in the underside picture.  The car runs and drives very well with under 69,000 miles on it. All the lights and gauges work except for the oil pressure and the radio is missing. I started to set it up in a Gasser style with painted bumpers and no side moldings. I sold the moldings but still have the stone guards, origional 13" wheels and  hub caps with good tires which I will put in the trunk.  The title is clean and the car is currently registered in California until May 2013.  This is a great car for someone to daily drive if you can live without A/C.  The VIN# is LL21B69748527.  I looked up the code on the internet and the information on the VIN is as follows:

L= DODGE MODEL DART

L=PRICE CLASS LOW

21=BODY TYPE 2 DOOR SEDAN

B=ENGINE 225 CUBIC INCH "RG" SLANT 6 CYLINDER

6= YEAR 1966

9= BUILT IN WINDSOR ONTARIO, CANADA

748527=SERIAL NUMBER

     The winning Bidder MUST make a deposit of $500.00 with PAYPAL within 48 hours of the auctuion close. The Balance can be paid with a Bank Cashiers Check, Money Order, Personal Check or cash.  The vehicle and/or Title will not be released until the total payment has cleared.  The Dart is being sold in "AS IS" condition with NO WARRANTY.  Transportation of the vehicle will be the responsibility of the winning bidder.  The Dart is located in Whittier, CA (zip code 90606) just outside of Los Angeles.  Local buyers are welcome.  Please ask me any questions before bidding......Thanks for looking

Chrysler Recalling 870,000 SUVs For Brake Defect

Wed, Apr 2 2014

Chrysler is recalling nearly 870,000 SUVs because corrosion may make the vehicles' brakes harder to use. Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs from the 2011 through 2014 model years are involved. Chrysler says crimp joints in the brake boosters can corrode if they're exposed to water. If the water freezes, the boosters won't aid braking as they usually do. Chrysler began investigating after some customers said their brakes felt too firm when pressed down. The company knows of one accident, but no injuries, due to the defect. Dealers will install a shield to protect the boosters for free and replace boosters that aren't working properly. Chrysler has since changed the design to make the boosters more corrosion resistant. Chrysler will notify owners of the recall, which involves 867,795 vehicles. Junkyard Gem: 1981 Dodge Challenger

Fri, Aug 17 2018

The first Dodge Challenger was an E-Body sibling to the 1970-1974 Plymouth Barracuda, and it was a pure Chrysler product with either Slant-6 or V8 power. Then stuff happened and the Challenger name went away for a while, returning in 1978 on a rebadged Mitsubishi Galant Lambda. For 1981, the Challenger got an updated body, and that's what we've got here in a Denver-area self-service wrecking yard. Chrysler was selling lots of Mitsubishis by the early 1980s, including the Colt econobox, the Dodge Ram 50 pickup, and the Plymouth Arrow truck. The Challenger's Plymouth-badged sibling was the Sapporo. This one had a bunch of late-1990s receipts from Los Angeles-area shops, and a check of the VIN on the California smog-check database shows that it last passed the Golden State's emissions test in 1997. Did it drive to Colorado 20 years ago and then sit until a few months ago? There is no easy way to know. Early Mitsubishi-built Challengers could be had with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, but in 1981 the only engine choice was the Astron 2.6 four-banger, rated at 105 horsepower. Members of the Astron 2.6 family powered everything from Dodge Aries-Ks to Mitsubishi Starions in North America, and production continued nearly into our current century for Chinese-market trucks. Not many miles on this car, and no rust. The Index of Effluency-winning team at the recent Colorado 24 Hours of Lemons race grabbed a few bits from this car for their somewhat related 1976 Plymouth Arrow, but otherwise it appears that this rare classic may go to the crusher more or less intact. It's a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive coupe with decent power (for its era) and a 5-speed manual transmission, but there's just not much of a following in Colorado for these cars. I see the occasional Sapporo or Challenger during my junkyard travels, but the numbers have declined in recent years. Soon they will all be gone. This content is hosted by a third party. Dodge Vipers selling for $480k in China

Wed, Apr 29 2015

Want to get your hands on a new Dodge Viper? Be prepared to pay dearly. It starts at nearly $90k here in the US, but that's nothing compared to what you'd have to pay for one if you lived in, say, China. CarsNewsChina.com reports on one Viper available in Beijing for an eye-watering 298 million yuan – equivalent to about $480,000 at today's exchange rates and representing more than a 500-percent markup. Part of that premium comes down to the Chinese tax code that charges a reported 60 percent for anything with an engine displacing over four liters. And the Viper's, we needn't remind you, is more than twice that. It naturally costs some to import a car to China as well, but most of the rest is pure profit. The Beijing dealership reportedly gets the cars from dealers in California, has already sold three and plans to import several more. The dealer can also get you (or wealthy Chinese individuals) a Corvette Stingray for a comparatively cheap 1.73 million yuan (or $280k). Related Video:
