Up for sale is my 2003 dodge Dakota R/T. It has the 5.9L 360 engine in it, has alot of modifications done to it. It has 96k miles & rising because it is my daily driver. It is flame red & it is a club cab. The exterior has the premium chrome 17" 6 lug rims with Goodyear Eagle RS-a 255/55/17 all the way around. It has a cervinis sniper body kit on it, front bumper & side skirts, I also have a roll pan style bumper & a cowl hood. It has dark tinted windows but I don't know how dark owner before me installed it. The 6.5ft bed is covered by a ARE tonneau cover which matches cowl hood & inside of it has has bed rug in it. It has new headlights, 3 months old at most but passenger side headlight only has 1 of the 2 running light bulbs because when my brother owned it a deer hit only that headlight & broke one of the housing that holds the bulb on however it didnt do any damage to the truck besides a grey mark from it being driven with headlight resting on it. It does have 6000k hyper white bulbs. Engine mods done to it are a big comp cam, mopar high rise intake, 2x52mm throttle body butterfly style, electric fan, & msd box. The check engine light is on because o2 sensors were removed when the new exhaust was added. It has all new exhaust setup, it is shorty headers to Flowmaster super 44s it is dumped straight down to the ground after rear axle. The transmission was rebuilt & had a shift kit added. The shocks were all redone but it wasnt lowered they were just replaced, & it rides super smooth even freeway speeds. The interior has not been smoked in. Its interior okay except the driver seat leather is like cracking, I can't really explain it. Other then that there is not rips or tears in any of the rest if the leather. All of the speakers on the interior were replaced with rockford fostgate speakers everything. It has a kenwood KDC-BT645U head unit & underneath the back seat there is a MTX Thunderform sub box all wired up for subs, owner before me had all of that done I never had subs wired up but all you need is 2 10"s & an amp & your all set. There is also a viper alarm on it with remote start but the backs to the 2 remotes I had fell off & I never got new ones but I still have the remotes. This truck is beautiful, & sounds great & I still get compliments on how it sounds & looks. There are a couple little marks nothing major there is a dent in the passenger door & it is smaller then a nickel. However with the issues it still fires up first time no delay. It is very quick & touchy, it will get up & go when you have your foot in it. It will spin tires easily no brake standing needed. Last time it was dyno'd it was at 257 rwhp but I do not believe it was tuned correctly so a tune is probably need to get more power out of it but isn't need for a daily driver. It is a great toy & a fun truck however it was never abused badly or anything, I respect & baby this truck beyond no believe, I will truly hate to sell it but its just something I need to do. I do believe I have receipts for alot if not all of the work but if you have any questions please feel free to contact me & ill answer them to the best of my knowledge. Test drives are available but only if we are trying to work out a deal & to have cash in hand. Thank you for viewing! This is a real posting so don't delete or flag it. $7000 obo willing to negotiate offer

Chrysler readying 20 Moparized vehicles for SEMA

Tue, 08 Oct 2013

The Las Vegas Convention Center has plenty of space for aftermarket companies and automakers to show off their wares, and it looks like Chrysler is taking advantage of the spacious floor plan. At next month's SEMA Show, Chrysler will have a full 20 cars from its six brands decked out with Mopar gear.
As a hint of what is to come, Chrysler released a handful of teaser sketches showing glimpses of modified Jeep Cherokee, Ram 1500, Fiat 500L and Chrysler 300 concept vehicles. The automaker will also use the venue to show off a new line of Jeep Performance Parts offered by the all-new Mopar Off-Road Division. In addition to the images, Chrysler also issued a brief press release - posted below - breaking down some of the "industry-first features" that Mopar has offered in recent years.

Dodge Challenger Hellcat X is 805-hp worth of charity [w/video]

Mon, Jul 20 2015

Donating to charity is good for the soul. You feel good and help out those in need, and while you should donate out of the goodness of your heart, there's nothing wrong with getting something in return. That's doubly true if that something (or somethings) happen to run on gasoline... a lot of gasoline. For just $3 (plus $40,000 in taxes), you could park not one, but two high-powered Mopars in your driveway. The big item, of course, is the world's most powerful Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Dubbed the Hellcat X after the XF6F, a twin-charged US Navy prototype that evolved into the Hellcat fighter from World War II. Its 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 has been supplemented by a turbocharger, boosting output to 805 horsepower. Because, you know, 707 just wasn't quite enough. It should be noted that the Hellcat X isn't a production model – Fiat Chrysler isn't going to be putting a twin-charged Hemi into production – but that it's a one-off job built for the 2015 Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle. Joining the Hellcat X is a handsome, black 1970 Challenger 440 R/T. Complete with a four-barrel carburetor (yeah, we were hoping for a Six Pack, as well), a pistol-grip shifter, and menacing black paint, this exact car was the star of 2012's "Revolution Reborn" television spot. And if this car's on-air claim to fame isn't enough, rest easy knowing you're the owner of just one of 100 black 440 R/Ts produced in 1970. Now, single tickets do start at $3, although there are larger bundles available, including a $5,000, 6,000-ticket package. Proceeds from the drawing, which is being put on by Dream Giveaway, will go towards New Beginning Children's Home charity, which issues grants to everything from the National Guard Educational Foundation to Mothers Against Drunk Driving. You can check out more on the Hellcat X in the video, below. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.

2020 Dodge Durango SRT Drivers' Notes | When excess is a good thing

Wed, Dec 4 2019

Performance SUVs and crossovers from non-luxury brands are still in a nascent stage of development. Models like the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, BMW X5 M and others are on subsequent generations of their high-performance high-riding machines. Meanwhile, the 2019 Dodge Durango SRT is still refreshingly new. It’s also about as American as it gets. Dodge shoehorned in the 6.4-liter V8 and gave it an exhaust system that screams ‘Murica at anyone who strays too close. It makes a glorious 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, completing the sprint to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels, which means you have traction — something the Challengers and Chargers with this engine could use a bit more of. Despite the Dodge being far cheaper than other big, high performance luxury SUVs out there, it still isnÂ’t cheap. The SRT has a base price of $64,490. Ours stickers for a much higher $78,235. Unsurprisingly, Dodge makes you pay the big bucks for most of the luxury features and customization options. A $2,395 Technology Group adds adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and forward collision avoidance systems. Fancy interior materials like a suede headliner, nicer materials on the instrument panel and carbon fiber inserts can be had in a $2,495 package. The stripes are $1,295, and the 20-inch wheels cost $995. To get the second row console with an armrest and storage, youÂ’ll have to pay an extra $595. A $78,235 Durango might sound like a completely egregious amount of money, but itÂ’s still far below what youÂ’ll pay for a BMW X7 or Mercedes-Benz GLS that goes just as fast. ItÂ’s no muscle SUV for the people, but it is a muscle SUV for more people than could afford one previously. Assistant Editor Zac Palmer: An American SUV with a giant V8 feels like a superior descendant of muscle cars than most other “muscle cars” on sale today. Both the Mustang and Camaro slant toward the sports car side of things, leaving FCA to carry on the muscle car tradition. And man, Dodge carries it on well. FCA could slot its 6.4-liter V8 into nearly anything and IÂ’d love it, so it was no surprise that I enjoyed it thrashing it about in this behemoth of an SUV. Traction off the line was one major benefit in the Durango over the Charger and Challenger. Matt the throttle and it just leaps forward, similar to the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT.
