1967 dodge coronet RT, just emerged from fresh restoration starting with a solid rust free southwest body. refinished in original color of 881 bright blue metallic over a striking white bucket seat interior.   Powered by a 440 four barrel and 727 torqueflite automatic shifted via  floor shift with factory console with tach, manual steering and brakes with a 3.23 sure grip 8 3/4 rear end. rolls on restored road wheels with new firestone red line tires.  Has original fender tag and certicard and partial build sheet.

This RT has been a southwest car most of its life, in addition to new paint all the trim has been restored including show rechrome of front and rear bumpers, new hood and rocker trim, emblems, polished stainless and professionally restored grill and grill surrounds done by "king of trim" in Escondido California. (if you ever restored a 67 you know how fragile and expensive these parts are).  All new door, roof, trunk and window weather stripping was installed as well as new trunk mat and restored jack components. I do not prefer the look of wheel opening mouldings on this model so I did not install them but all 4 in good shape are included with vehicle.

The interior has been restored with all new legendary interior items including carpet, headliner, front and rear door panels with fresh upper door frame paint, package tray, seat divider panel, and of course gorgeous white seat material and seat foam mounted on restored and detailed seat tracks. Console with factory tach has been refinished as well.

All mechanicals are fresh as the 440 and transmission were both rebuilt with less than 300 miles on both.  The 440 installed in the car is not the factory motor but the original factory installed C440 does come with the car.   Complete front suspension has been rebuilt with alignment as well as all brakes including new master cylinder and brake lines. New complete underhood wiring harness and full exhaust system with X-pipe round out the mechanical overhaul.

This 1967 RT starts, runs,  drives and stops as good as it looks and would make any mopar enthusiast proud to display at any car show or cruise night!!!    Please check my feedback and bid with confidence, I do welcome visual inspections with appointment and please note this vehicle is for sale locally and through other venues and auction may end at any time.  Thanks for looking......... any questions e mail or call Dean at 915-490-1652 cell or 915-598-1302 work.

Dodge Challenger Shaker cars get Shakedown package stripes

Thu, Mar 8 2018

In 2016, Dodge brought a custom 1971 Dodge Challenger to the SEMA show called the Shakedown. It melded modern Challenger parts with the classic model's body, and did so almost seamlessly. It of course featured a shaker hood scoop, and it also had a set of stripes to one side that gradually decreased in size to give the feeling of vibration and movement. The reception was clearly good, because Dodge has created a set of stripes just like those on the show car for modern shaker Challengers and made them available in a package with the Shakedown name. The Shakedown package is new for 2018 and available only on Challengers with the shaker hood scoop. These include the R/T Shaker, R/T Plus Shaker, and 392 Scat Pack Shaker. Just like on the concept, the stripes are all to one side and wrap around the hood scoop. The only difference is that they're all one color, whereas the '71 custom car had one stripe in red. In addition to the stripes, the package adds white-face gauges and an upgraded Alpine audio system. On R/T and R/T Plus models, this system has six speakers with a 275-watt amplifier, while the system on the Scat Pack has nine speakers with a 506-watt amplifier. The cost of the Shakedown package is $995, and it's available with any color of Challenger Shaker. And on the topic of colors, Dodge has also revived Plum Crazy and B5 Blue for 2018 Chargers and Challengers. Those colors will be available on any Charger or Challenger regardless of trim level. Stellantis invests more than $100 million in California lithium project

Thu, Aug 17 2023

Stellantis said it would invest more than $100 million in California's Controlled Thermal Resources, its latest bet on the direct lithium extraction (DLE) sector amid the global hunt for new sources of the electric vehicle battery metal. The investment by the Chrysler and Jeep parent announced on Thursday comes as the green energy transition and U.S. Inflation Reduction Act have fueled concerns that supplies of lithium and other materials may fall short of strong demand forecasts. DLE technologies vary, but each aims to mechanically filter lithium from salty brine deposits and thus avoid the need for open pit mines or large evaporation ponds, the two most common but environmentally challenging ways to extract the battery metal. Stellantis, which has said half of its fleet will be electric by 2030, also agreed to nearly triple the amount of lithium it will buy from Controlled Thermal, boosting a previous order to 65,000 metric tons annually for at least 10 years, starting in 2027. "This is a significant investment and goes a long way toward developing this key project," Controlled Thermal CEO Rod Colwell said in an interview. The company plans to spend more than $1 billion to separate lithium from superhot geothermal brines extracted from beneath California's Salton Sea after flashing steam off those brines to spin turbines that will produce electricity starting next year. That renewable power is expected to cut the amount of carbon emitted during lithium production. Rival Berkshire Hathaway has struggled to produce lithium from the same area given large concentrations of silica in the brine that can form glass when cooled, clogging pipes. Colwell said a $65 million facility recently installed by Controlled Thermal can remove that silica and other unwanted metals. DLE equipment licensed from Koch Industries would then remove the lithium. "We're very happy with the equipment," he said. "We're going to deliver. There's just no doubt about it." Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares called the Controlled Thermal partnership "an important step in our care for our customers and our planet as we work to provide clean, safe and affordable mobility." Both companies declined to provide the specific investment amount. Controlled Thermal aims to obtain final permits by October and start construction of a commercial lithium plant soon thereafter, Colwell said. Goldman Sachs is leading the search for additional debt and equity financing, he added.

Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango to lose color options temporarily

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

In the market for a Jeep Grand Cherokee or Dodge Durango? Well, if you fancy a more expressive color for your new SUV, you'd better get your order in, or plan on waiting until well into 2015.
The SUVs will be limited to just four monochromatic shades - black, white, silver and gray - until at least February, thanks to an upgrade to the paint shop at the two vehicles' Jefferson North factory. For the Grand Cherokee, that means it's losing more than half its color palette while the Durango is dropping two-thirds of its color catalog.
The loss of colors is inconvenient, but the upgrade will have a slightly bigger effect on the overall supply of SUVs, as Chrysler will need to end its relentless build pace at the factory for a three-week shutdown starting on December 22. The good news for fans of the SUVs is that once the work is completed, we should see a gradual expansion of the color palettes for both the Durango and Grand Cherokee, beyond even what's offered now.
