1966 CORONET 440 STREET CRUISER WITH 77,000 ORIGINAL MILES. THIS WELL CARED FOR MOPAR
MUSCLECAR HAS BEEN UPGRADED WITH A FRESH NOM ALUMINUM HEAD HIGH PERFORMANCE 383 BIG BLOCK, BACKED UP TO A CRISP
SHIFTING 727 AUTOMATIC AND 8 3/4 REAR. THE ENGINE ROARS TO LIFE EASILY WITH A DEEP BIG BLOCK EXHAUST NOTE THROUGH
NEW DUAL EXHAUST. THE WELL SORTED CHASSIS AND DRIVETRAIN IS GREAT FUN TO DRIVE AROUND TOWN OR ON THE OPEN HIGHWAY.
FOR SAFE STOPPING, THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN UPGRADED TO FRONT DISC BRAKES AND DUAL MASTER CYLINDER. THE EXTERIOR WAS
REPAINTED A FEW YEARS BACK AND PRESENTS WELL WITH SOME MINOR IMPERFECTIONS, AS TO BE EXPECTED FOR A WEEKEND
CRUISER. THE CHROME BUMPERS ALONG WITH MOST OF THE OTHER BRIGHTWORK PRESENT WELL ALSO. THE EXTERIOR IS ENHANCED
WITH AN ALMOST NEW SET OF BF GOODRICH RADIAL T/A`S MOUNTED TO A VINTAGE SET OF CRAGAR SS WHEELS FOR A CLASSIC
MUSCLECAR APPEARANCE. THE INTERIOR IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL FROM THE HEADLINER, TO THE REUPHOLSTERED IVORY COLOR
SEATS AND DOOR PANELS DOWN TO THE BLACK CARPET. THE EXPANSIVE DASH WITH ADDED RADIO DELETE PLATE LOOKS GREAT FROM
BEHIND THE WHEEL. UNDERNEATH THE CAR LOOKS VERY WELL PRESERVED WITH NO VISIBLE ISSUES. I CURRENTLY HAVE THIS
VEHICLE TAGGED WITH CURRENT PA STATE INSPECTION AND CLASSIC INSURANCE. ALL OF THE LIGHTS AND SWITCHES APPEAR IN
GOOD WORKING ORDER, WITH ONLY THE HORN BEING INOP AT THIS TIME. WHAT MAKES THIS CAR EXCEPTIONAL, IS THAT ONE CAN
EASILY SEE AND FEEL THAT THIS LOW ORIGINAL MILEAGE 1966 CORONET HAS HAD IMPECCABLE CARE OVER ITS 50 YEAR HISTORY,
WAS NEVER CUT UP TO MAKE A RACE CAR OR FALLEN INTO DISREPAIR; JUST TASTEFULLY IMPROVED UPON AND MAINTAINED OVER THE
YEARS. THIS VEHICLE RECEIVES CONSTANT ATTENTION WHEREVER IT IS DRIVEN. THE SOMEWHAT LIMITED PRODUCTION OF
PERFORMANCE DODGES, COMPARED TO THE MORE COMMON FORDS AND CHEVYS HAS ENHANCED ITS POPULARITY ON CRUISE NIGHT ALSO.
HIGH PERFORMANCE MOPARS HAVE ENJOYED A VERY STRONG INCREASE IN VALUE OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS. FINDING A TURNKEY BIG
BLOCK CORONET 440 IN THIS CONDITION AND PRICE RANGE IS A RARE OPPORTUNITY, SO DON`T MISS OUT!

MotorWeek proves '90s were awesome with Supra, Stealth, RX-7, Corvette, 968, 300ZX comparo

Thu, 24 Jul 2014

Oh, the heady days of 1993, back when the Clinton Presidency was just getting underway, and it seemed like every hot new rock band was coming out of Seattle. Sports cars in the US had finally shaken off the shackles that slowed them during the '70s and '80s, and you could buy any number of legitimately quick vehicles again. MotorWeek recently went digging into its archives to find this six-model test from 1993 showing off some of the best semi-affordable performance coupes that money could buy at the time, and it's priceless.
Featuring the 1994 model year Toyota Supra in twin-turbo guise and MY 1993 versions of the Porsche 968, Nissan 300ZX TT, Mazda RX-7, Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo and Chevrolet Corvette LT-1, MotorWeek definitely covered all of the bases. One thing that might surprise younger readers is these cars' performance. The video only provides 0-60 acceleration times, but several of these vehicles would still be considered pretty potent today - over 20 years since going on sale. The Supra is especially impressive, hitting 60 miles per hour in just 5 seconds. Even today, that's nothing to sneeze at.
Given their performance potential and still-attractive looks, it's amazing that some of these coupes are old enough to drink now. The progress of interior design and safety equipment in the intervening years is pretty shocking, though. In most of these models, having two airbags is touted as a big deal. Scroll down to watch a Throwback Thursday blast from the past about some of the '90s best sports cars.

2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit prepares to keep Hellcats in line

Wed, 13 Aug 2014

Earlier today, Dodge pulled the wraps off its 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat - a 707-horsepower sedan capable of sprinting to 60 miles per hour in 3.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 204 mph. Naturally, the car debuted in a bright shade of pull-me-over red, so it was fitting, then, that Dodge also brought its newly updated 2015 Charger Pursuit to keep everything under control.
No, cops won't be able to spec their Charger cruisers with the 707-hp Hellcat engine (oh man, imagine the chase scenes...), but law enforcement officials will be able to choose from either a 3.6-liter V6 or 5.7-liter Hemi V8, producing 292 hp and 370 hp, respectively. V8 models can be ordered with all-wheel drive, and Dodge estimates that with either engine, the Charger Pursuit can achieve up to 26 miles per gallon on the highway (thanks to the V8's four-cylinder mode).
Other updates for 2015 include improved braking power, a seven-inch display in the instrument cluster, a five-inch display in the center stack, and a new vehicle systems interface that could make it easier for police squads to install computer and radio equipment.

Dodge Challenger Scat Pack adds power and noise, with a warranty

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

If you want to go fast, there's certainly nothing wrong with the Dodge Challenger SRT8. With 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque for 2014, there's certainly not much to complain about. But what if you want something more aftermarket in flavor? There's no shortage of options, but while turning to the tuner world will make your car plenty fast, that extra power won't just shred rear tires, it'll torch your warranty, as well. That's where Dodge's Scat Pack comes in.
With three stages of mods for both the 5.7 and 6.4-liter Hemi V8s Challenger (as well as the 5.7-liter Charger and, soon, the four-pot Dart), the Scat Pack cars give drivers all the power, aggression and noise of a heavily modded aftermarket car while maintaining the piece of mind provided by the Dodge warranty.
Power gets bumped up to 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque with the 6.4-liter Scat Pack, while the 5.7-liter can provide up to 58 hp and 47 lb-ft of torque to add to the stock engine's 375 horsepower and 410 pound-feet. It's the latter engine that can really get some work done, with upgrades ranging from the mundane - intake and exhaust - to the racy, like the ported heads and high-flow headers.
