Up for auction is a 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 2 Dr. Hard Top. I based the look of the car on a Super Stock/Max Wedge Dodge. It has a 1972 440 HP Motor and a 727 Torqueflite Transmission with 8 3/4 rear-end. Car shows 62,000 on the odometer but the odometer does not work. The engine is internally stock as far as I know. Since I have had the car I put a Mopar Performance Electronic Ignition Conversion, Holley 750 cfm carb, Edelbrock RPM Intake, Headman Headers, 2 1/2 inch exhaust with Doug's Electric Exhaust Cut Outs and Flowmaster Super 44 Mufflers, rebuilt 727 with a TCI Breakaway Conv. (was planning a cam upgrade but never did it) and shift kit with B&M Shifter. Also has 4.10 Gears, Mopar Performance Super Stock Springs, Competition Drag Shocks front & rear, Drive Shaft Loop and Racing Wheel Studs front & rear as well as a Line Lock. Has a shift light tach with rev. limiter and after market gauges. Car has new brakes front & rear. Front wheels are 15x5.5 and the rear are 15x7 with new tires. Added the Fiberglass Super Stock Dodge Hood Scoop. The scoop is a replica of a 1965 Super Stock Dodge hood scoop.
The vehicle has no major rust issues. Just some surface rust under the vehicle as this is a factory non under coat car. The previous owner had a quick paint job done on it and there is some overspray and dirt in the paint. All of the stainless trim is there and is in good shape. I would say it is a good 10 footer. Interior needs to be restored, the radio does not work and it has some interior lights that do not work. Front bumper has some chrome peeling off of it. I was planning on putting on a Fiberglass front bumper and hood but never got around to it. The car runs and drives good. If it wasn't for the 4.10s I would not hesitate to take it on an extended road trip, as is it is only driven locally. It has a clear title and I have most of the receipts for the upgrades that I have done. Car has been garage kept since I have owned it. Vehicle does have the correct vintage 1965 Texas Plates on it.
The car is being sold as is and there is no warranty. Winning bidder will need to pay a $500.00 deposit within 48hrs. Complete Payment must be made within 7 days and purchaser is responsible for transportation arrangements. Happy Bidding!!

12 new cars that will never go out of style
Tue, Nov 23 2021Some cars never go out of style. It’s rare, but it happens. They get old. They get depreciated. But they never stop looking cool. Some might call them modern or instant classics. Within a few years theyÂ’re no longer the latest and greatest, no longer the flavor of the month, but they remain special. Eternally special. Timeless. These cars arenÂ’t necessarily going to be worth a fortune someday. However, some may not depreciate as rapidly or as far as other models. But thatÂ’s not what weÂ’re talking about here. These are the cars that enthusiasts will always find desirable from the curbside. TheyÂ’re the cars you end up shopping on eBay late at night 10 years later because you canÂ’t get them out of your head. TheyÂ’re the cars that will forever excite you when you spot a clean one in traffic or in a parking lot. There are plenty of recent examples over the past couple of decades that could count as instant design classics. But then we got to thinking, what 2021 models will be forever cool to stare at? Which new cars and trucks on sale today will we be shopping on eBay late at night in the 2030s? We kept supercars and other ultra-expensive cars off the list to keep things within the realm of attainability, and ended up with 12 total cars. Lexus LC WeÂ’re not applying a numerical ranking to any of the cars on this list, but if we were, the Lexus LC would be No. 1. There isnÂ’t another car design out there that can stir our emotions the way an LC can when itÂ’s just standing still. This car is a concept design come true in the most beautiful of ways, and itÂ’s a shoo-in winner for Concours events decades into the future. All of this heaping praise, and we havenÂ’t even gotten to the LC 500Â’s intoxicating 5.0-liter V8. It doesnÂ’t win drag races. It wonÂ’t be the fastest around the track against any similarly-priced competition. But none of that matters. ItÂ’s quite possibly the best car you can buy new, and that says it all when it comes to the LC. Chevrolet Corvette It might not be the stunner that the Lexus LC is, but the new C8 Corvette is and will always be a special vehicle. ItÂ’s the first mid-engine Corvette, which instantly cements it into an automotive hall of fame section of sorts. All of the performance stats and specs are there to back up its supercar-like looks, and it remains the best performance bargain on sale today.
Junkyard Gem: 1976 Dodge D100, United States Army Edition
Sat, Jan 26 2019Members of the United States military have been driving Dodge trucks since the Army bought its first Dodge Brothers ambulance in 1917, and plenty of third-generation D-series pickups ended up in Army service during the mid-1970s. Most of these were 3/4-ton W200s and D200s (designated as M880s), but today's Junkyard Gem is a 1/2-ton D100 CARGO PICKUP W/CAB, found in a Denver self-service wrecking yard. Eventually, the Army auctions off old vehicles, and that happened to this battered D100 Custom at some point. This truck appears to have started life with Navy gray paint, which was painted over in Army-grade olive drab. Perhaps there was some vehicle-shuffling done by the Pentagon. The most recent layer of stickers shows that this truck's final military job was for the U.S. Army Recruiting Command. Power came from the legendary Chrysler Slant-6, in this case the 225-cubic-inch version rated at 105 horsepower. Like most fleet vehicles of the last 50 or so years, it has an automatic transmission. You couldn't expect every soldier to be able to work a three-pedal truck, not even way back in 1976. The Rust Monster has taken a few bites out of this truck, enough that its resale value converged with the current price of scrap vehicles. This content is hosted by a third party. Dodge rolls out Shaker package for 2015 Challenger
Mon, Feb 16 2015Having an awesome Hemi engine under the hood can deliver impressive performance, but for those who lament not being able to see that big V8 engine doing its thing, hidden away under the hood, Dodge offers the Shaker hood on its Challenger muscle car. Now available on two engines and three trim levels – including the Challenger R/T and R/T Plus with the 5.7-liter V8 and the 6.4-liter Challenger 392 – the new Shaker hood brings cold air into the engine compartment and lets everyone see that V8 (or at least an appendage thereof) shaking away in plain view. Arriving 45 years after the original Shaker Challenger, the package includes a satin black hood scoop, cold-air intake, conical air filter and optimized air box, along with Shaker graphics inside, out and under the hood. The 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker and R/T Plus Shaker are available to order now, priced at $35,495 and $38,495, respectively (plus a $995 destination charge), and come bundled with the Super Track Pak.
